We were not allowed on the iPaw last night because Mom and Pop decided to go out to a coffee house to hear a whole lot of musicians jam in something called “Front Porch Picking”. So we did not catch up on the awful news of last night until just now. Our hearts are so very sad. This winter has been so hard on so many of our dearest friends. We love you Melanie and Zoe. Please feel our love in your hearts.

OMD, what happened last night that we missed? Must go back right away and read the posts.

The story from Staff had a happy ending. Poor little Boo, left alone in that truck.

We just read about Patsy. Our hearts are heavy for Melanie and Zoe. With Melanie’s loving care she gave Patsy a wonderful last year. Our thoughts are with you and The Pack.

My thoughts are with Melanie and Zoe. Patsy lived a long and happy life. The picture that Rio posted is perfect.

Good morning all. The picture Rio posted was indeed perfect. That is exactly how we will remember Melanie’s puppy.

Melanie may or may not be on the blog today. The sadness that she has borne this year…well, it’s just too much. We know she will appreciate your prayers and long distance hugs. She will join us when she feels she can.

Thank you Rio for the perfect picture last night. Melanie, take all the time you need. We will send one of those long distance hugs.

Melanie. We just saw the news and know how heartbroken you must be. But Patsy could not have had a more wonderful, loving life than the one that you gave her here in earth (and that she gave you in return), and she is without pain now and at peace. And even though her physical presence is gone, I know that her spirit will be with you always.
Rio, thank you for the picture, as others have said, just the way we will remember her.
Love, tears and hugs from Chevy Chase.

Mom just called our attention to this article about dogs who steal stuff. Check it out. What don’t these folks get? Sometimes it is just plain old fun to take something and make her go looking for it. 🙂

Purrs, hugs, and love to Melanie and Zoe. Mom just caught up on last nights news. We feel so bad for the pack. What a tough year they have faced. We are so glad that Melanie had this special last year with her Patsy.

Maybe the Raven needed 1/2 the pack with him to be at peace.

Melanie wants to thank all of you for your support. She says she can feel the long distant hugs. And she will be back soon.

We think the next pet we give our heart to will be a tortoise. Or a parrot. Or maybe a pet rock. sniff…

In the meantime, Tupper and Gilly are not speaking to me, nor are they planning to post on this here blog for a while. Seems that someone shaved their pantaloons off whilst they were being distracted with duck jerky. They are now backing away from everyone, and hiding in embarrassment under tables, chairs or whatever furniture is nearby. They just don’t much care for the “rites of spring”. But since I stepped on one of the “hazards” of too-long rump fuzz first thing this morning as I swung my feet out of bed, we decided that today was the day.
    eccchhhhhh!
(It was even worse than stepping barefoot on a Kat hairball. Not much, but it was worse)

OMD! We don’t check on ya’ll for 2 days and come back to all this stuff 🙁 We had vet visit & emergency surgery for our Pookey an Aussie/Chow with a broken leg so we missed everything.
Melalnie should know the HOH will keep the pack, Zoe and her in our thoughts.
T&G: Pookey is in your corner. Vet cut all her lovely chowness “as long as I am in the neighborhood”. We think she looks like a combination of a lion, a Chinese crested and a pot bellied pig.
OH: Mom’s first dog was wolf/husky who was a thief! Refused to return things, but would trade for a hot dog. She stole the first 2 legged grand when he was 2 months old. Mom says now that he is a teenager that maybe she shouldn’t have traded!

I know that my sadness cannot begin to compare to all of the sadness on this here blog the past year, but I still need Plunderer prayers and wishes for my special request. I watched the IdidIdidIdidaron with Momma this year, and it looked like a LOT of fun. Momma tells me that I too am a husky…a Siber kind of husky, and yet I have never ever gotten to play in all of that snow that Snowhook was running thru. I did see great snow last weekend, but Mama Meash and Daddy Dima say that was hardly worth calling it snow. So what I need is a real lot of snow, and the EPAWA guys say that just may happen this very Monday! All of our friends are wishing against it, saying it is time for Spring, but this here girl needs one snow to learn how to be a for-real husky. Please please please can you all concentrate all of your minds to hoping for snow for me me me?
