Good morning, everyone! Sure glad Arthur had the good sense to find dog friendly folks and that he has a furever home.
Mom is off to the library soon.
Have a tip top Tuesday.
8:41 am on November 25th, 2014
We saw the story of Arthur, complete with his “cone of shame”. He is a lucky dog now though.
More errands to do, then will be home for the cable guy. Maybe we be able to actually watch a complete show without having to reboot the modem.
8:48 am on November 25th, 2014
That was a great story with a happy ending. Howlers, it is safe for you to read.
Barb is heading out. Hopefully she will get to work safely. Heard the roads are extremely slick, so it will be a slow drive.
9:07 am on November 25th, 2014
Arthur certainly is a hero and so are the team members who “adopted” him.
Good morning all.
9:09 am on November 25th, 2014
Oooo – be careful Barb. We are supposed to get the storm tomorrow thru Thursday. Poor travelers.
9:47 am on November 25th, 2014
Good morning. Nice story about Arthur. Thanks for letting us know it wassafe to read, Maggie.
Wierd weather. 50s today. Nor’easter with lots of snow tomorrow.

Give him a meatball and he’ll follow you anywhere! Arthur is one tenacious, wonderful dog.
Good morning to everyone.

Tupper’s Mom! We are over the moon with the great Cubbins news. We wish T.C.was as flexible as your so-called wrotten cats. Zeus really really really wants a cat friend.

BooBear: I haven’t seen the public service announcement that you mentioned, but Elyes Gabel, who plays Walter O’Brien on Scorpion, is a British actor born in London. He puts on a great American accent.
10:12 am on November 25th, 2014
B., it amazes me that actors can do that with their accents. They completely change their speaking voice. Talent!
10:24 am on November 25th, 2014
No Accent. Isn’t David Tennant doing that in Gracepoint, the American Version of Broadchurch?
(No, we are Not Watching it…the version from the other side of the Pond was just too good)
10:57 am on November 25th, 2014
Bear: Yes, David Tennant does a great American accent.

BM&L from yesterday. A couple of weeks ago there was a light aircraft crashed into the roof of a bungalow a few miles from here! The wheels ended up resting on the bed! Amazingly no one was hurt and the building was hardly damaged. A narrow escape for all concerned.

As I wrote to Staff, I am so excited about my Chet & Bernie bookmark and business card, they may be the only ones the UK. How special is that? Going to re-read all the books so that this time I can use my new bookmark to mark my place. And pleased that the business card is the proper one and not the flowery one that Suzie designed and Bernie doesn’t like but won’t tell her – bless him!
Looking forward to following Snowhook news on the Internet and here on the blog. Go Snowhook!
11:47 am on November 25th, 2014
I meant “in the UK”
Got too excited!
11:48 am on November 25th, 2014
Trisha, glad all is ok from the crash. Glad to hear from Staff you got your donation prize.
Okay all, regarding accents, think of it as “painting” with your voice. Some folks do oil paint, some water colors, some do puzzles, some do crosswords or soduko, some act, some quill, some quilt. We all have our arts!
12:18 pm on November 25th, 2014
Trip in this morning was much easier than anticipated.
We too are looking at temps in the 50s by this weekend. Crazy!
12:33 pm on November 25th, 2014
Greetings!
What a story about a great dog and a great man!
Temps here yesterday were in the 70’s! Had windows open and the slider open too. A winter weather advisory has been posted for tomorrow. The forecast calls for 3″ to 6″ of snow for part of Westchester county (of course, the part that I live in).
Yay! I am so glad Cubbins found such a wonderful forever home!!!
I will be kat sitting for my downstairs neighbor over the holiday. Her kat, Chloe and I have a love/hate relationship.
12:41 pm on November 25th, 2014
Trisha: No need for Correction or Worry over typos and omission of words. We on This Here Blog have learned to read it as you mean it. 🙂
12:47 pm on November 25th, 2014
Thanks Bear. That’s a really useful skill!
1:02 pm on November 25th, 2014
Hi Trish – so good to have a voice from across the pond.
And thanks to all of you for welcoming the new kitty. He really is fitting in very well, and getting into everything as only a kitten can. Now, we just have to work on Cubbin’s diphthongs. Do you think he will outgrow his “wittle” speech impediment?
1:14 pm on November 25th, 2014
What wonderful story about Arthur and all the amazing pictures that are posted with the article. He seems to be a very well adjusted dog in all situations.
I’m so glad the introduction of Cubbins into the Royals’ family went so smoothly. Not gonna happen here.
ML, I will second what Wolfie said last night about a bar of Ivory soap for muscle cramps. If you are having leg cramps during the night, sleep with the bar of soap close to your legs. This information is all over the internet, and articles about using a bar of soap for muscle cramps have even appeared in my newspaper. No one knows why it works, but it does.
1:17 pm on November 25th, 2014
ML, Forgot to say, if you try the soap you will need to replace it with a new bar of soap about every 5 weeks. Again, no one knows why.
1:32 pm on November 25th, 2014
Royal Mum: Remembering the First Comments of little Teddy Ruff Rider, it seems this is part of “growing up on the blog”.
And CubKat can Type! That’s a big one.
1:37 pm on November 25th, 2014
BSD, Of course the Cu8b/Kat can type, with an extra toe on hos right foot, he should be a typing-demon!
1:39 pm on November 25th, 2014
GAH..case in point…Cu8b/Kat, NOT Cub/Kat ??? Go figure.
3:39 pm on November 25th, 2014
We have a guest in the house – the Comcast technician. We have been reporting trouble for a while, and finally had to pull out the bulldozer last night, since every tv had picture break up and tiling. Comcast offered us a tech NEXT WEEK. Then for some reason, they kind of decided that wasn’t really a feasible option, and offed to get a tech here today.
So, we are being very nice to this guy. Offered him coffee and cookies, and WOW – lo and behold, our old and substandard connections are being replaced by the newest, most powerful connectors.
Funny how that happens.
3:51 pm on November 25th, 2014
Yep, typing is a funny thing 🙂
4:03 pm on November 25th, 2014
So is a PINK BULLDOZER 🙂
4:05 pm on November 25th, 2014
Wish we had one or 2 of those 🙂 (Your guess is as good as anything).
4:42 pm on November 25th, 2014
Nana says if she has to warm up her Cup of Tea just-one-more-time she is going to SCREAM!
The Pink Bulldozer is Always Welcome Here.
4:48 pm on November 25th, 2014
Oh, gals, you are so funny here!
4:57 pm on November 25th, 2014
Uh oh BSD – what is happening to delay tea drinking? That is a serious offense.
5:06 pm on November 25th, 2014
Hot Beverage. Unlike the Story of the Three Bears…it is always, too Hot, or Too Cold…never Just Right.
5:12 pm on November 25th, 2014
We know that one. The Storyteller always laughs at me, drinking cold coffee or tea – takes me forever to drink a cup. Cold coffee – I will still drink – cold tea, I throw away and start again. Silly, huh?
5:18 pm on November 25th, 2014
Even if it is not Just Right. ?
5:36 pm on November 25th, 2014
Just Right? NOT. There is no Goldilocks Here.
6:23 pm on November 25th, 2014
T & G, we got a letter from Comcast saying we can upgrade our equipment, free of charge. There is nothing wrong with our service, so we did not contact them. Now wondering if that was a mistake.
6:41 pm on November 25th, 2014
Barb – anytime Comcast offers something for free – take it. And then go outside and look for pigs flying…..
6:58 pm on November 25th, 2014
Hatches are being battened as we type. Mostly, that seemsto have involved gas cans getting filled, and recycles being taken to the dropoff center.
DirectTV gives us free upgrades all the time. We love them.
6:58 pm on November 25th, 2014
Boobear, I assume your mom knows she was hacked on email.
Wolfie, How are your boys and Jace?
8:38 pm on November 25th, 2014
It looks like one of my kitties will be adopted on Friday and the 2 Seal Points will be adopted together on Tuesday. I will also be taking some to an adoption clinic on Saturday. It is going to start being easier to keep track of them. Now that they are independent little critters, it always seems that I am missing one or two in the head counts that I do.
BBL
9:01 pm on November 25th, 2014
CHobbit!….Are you down to 2?…sniff!…Zero Kats would be the desired headcount…grunt!
9:08 pm on November 25th, 2014
BooBear: BML just reminded us of forgetting to tell you about the bogus email (supposedly from youse) with the dangerous link.
CHobbiti: Thanks for continuing to keep us apprised of the kitten adoptions.
9:09 pm on November 25th, 2014
Rio: 9 kitties take away 3 kitties = 6 kitties. But after the adoption clinic on Saturday who knows?
After the winter storm subsides in the NE, I challenge OFA to do this:

9:11 pm on November 25th, 2014
Going for Din-Din…then Catching Up on some Shows.
Everyone Stay Safe & Warm – Bear
9:33 pm on November 25th, 2014
BooBear, I also got one of your hacked emails. Spammers need many accounts to send their stuff. That way they don’t attract attention. You need to change your password. The real danger is when someone gets your email password and then goes into your bank account and says forgot password. The new password gets sent to your email account that the bad guys already have, and bingo!
9:34 pm on November 25th, 2014
Hobbit – do you need wepwacement kitties?
Beawr Spiwit Dog – I need mowr din din too. Mama doesn’t undewstand – I’m a gwowing kitty.
9:36 pm on November 25th, 2014
Cubbins: No thank you; the kitties are eating me out of hearth and home so I do not need any replacement kitties. P.S. always make sure you cover your business in the kitty litter. One of my kitties seems not to have learned that lesson.
9:37 pm on November 25th, 2014
Kats!…Growing Kats make me nervous…grunt! …We are catching up on Top-Chef. I do not see CHobbit on the show this season…sniff!…She is too busy with all those Kats!
9:39 pm on November 25th, 2014
Fenway!…WoooHoo!…Top-Chef is at Fenway Park in this epsisode…snort!…Can we all say BASEBALL?…chuffle!
9:54 pm on November 25th, 2014
BASEBALL! WooHoo
Zeus wants a kat. Ship a kitten to him.
10:01 pm on November 25th, 2014
Good news on the adoptions, Hobbit.
Now it is off to bed for this bunch. Sweet dreams, all.
10:55 pm on November 25th, 2014
Hobbit – this kitty would definitely put a dent in your Kat food budget. The Herbs usually share one can of food a day. Cubbins demolishes a can on his own and is looking for more. Now that all the Kats eat together, Basil and Sage are looking at us, and saying WTF???
11:09 pm on November 25th, 2014
Henry and Keiko eat like little pigs also. I talked to the Vet and she said to feed them all they want because they were fighting all those infections and parasites. Now they are supposedly healthy but they are still eating eating eating. They also prefer grown up food, not their kitty food.
Yeep!
11:24 pm on November 25th, 2014
Staff – Cubbins agrees with your vet and says we should feed him all he wants. We say Cubbins is part Pug.
11:28 pm on November 25th, 2014
Siber – we want Zeus to be happy. We will work on getting him a Wrotten Kat….ummm, we mean a sweet, cuddly, adorable Kat of his very own.
Tomorrow.
But for now, g’night, family.
10:40 am on November 26th, 2014
Thanks, guys. I did not know anything had happened. Password changed!!
9:03 am on November 28th, 2014
Good news on the adoptions
9:04 am on November 28th, 2014
Good luck with the adoption
8:06 pm on January 20th, 2015
Hey Tara — that really depends on the claim they’re making and the rules of the jurisdiction in which they might sue. I’d recommend you talk with an attorney who specializes in litigation.
