Poop! My Two-legged is headed north again. She says the airport is her second home. I think it must be her first home because she isn’t here long enough to rub my belly as much as I’d like.
I am to tell you that she will be thinking of youse while she is away.
9:10 am on January 27th, 2014
Good morning all.
9:51 am on January 27th, 2014
Greetings!
Pixie, may your travels be safe.
Good morning, HRH.
I may be away from the blog for a while. I am deep undercover, on a mission for the Commander. Belle Starrr, thank you for the sparkly backpack.
10:30 am on January 27th, 2014
Good morning all. While we are not having frigid temps (33), the wind is steady at 40 mph, making it difficult to concentrate on my “business” while worrying about being blown over. Belle is more sturdy, so she has no problem, but as you all know, I am dainty. When will we ever get indoor plumbing?
10:33 am on January 27th, 2014
Would this be a “cat burglar”?

10:35 am on January 27th, 2014
Good morning, everyone! Still far from tip top around here but mom got up and made our breakfast. Now she’s threatening us with a nap. Darling Darah has been bringing in icebergs from the pool and pond. She’s quite a good hockey player. Mom’s leaving the ipaw on today so we’ll check in sometimes. She wants to thank her dear friends for checking on her yesterday. She hopes she was coherent for Macy’s Mom.
Have a munificent Monday. (yeah, a day, can health be far away….Oh, Rio, mom had flu shot at the hospital and takes her airborne when ever she goes out)
10:36 am on January 27th, 2014
Mollypop’s mom. I have been trying to find a phone number for you because the email doesn’t seem to be working. However no phone number is available. Could you put it on dishlickers for me?
I am down to just a few tickets to the east and so need to make my reservations to either Buffalo or Springfield today.
Or you could call me before noon your time. My number here is six one two 927 five zero eight seven. I will be making the reservations this afternoon.

Staff, we are SDDing you MPM’s SDD name.
10:45 am on January 27th, 2014
Staff, we sent you a SDD too about the trip east.
Here is a picture of what Josh could see out his truck windshield last night. Scary!

11:00 am on January 27th, 2014
It’s sunny here today…and 8 degrees F. I ventured out for supplies. We haven’t had this much snow in a number of years.
Good to hear from HOH.
11:05 am on January 27th, 2014
Barb: Yes, that is scary.
11:19 am on January 27th, 2014
The Weatherman says it is 30 degrees here on the Island…my whiskers beg to differ…I, Weatherkat, am sensing a temp of 38 & foggy.
B&M: See? There is NO visibility out that truck window. None. Yeep!
BTW…Happy, Happy B-Day to Josh!
HOH: Happy to hear from youse.
A good morning to all and a feel-better-day.
And a safe flight to our Pixie.
11:26 am on January 27th, 2014
From my easy chair:
11:28 am on January 27th, 2014
That mound of snow near the window is a three-foot drift.
12:09 pm on January 27th, 2014
BStover: Snowed in. Snow capped fenceposts. Looks like a lovely winter’s day. A good day to be retired. In the easy chair with a book.
Spence: So now we can get our dogs into the “poop study”. I like the last two sentences of the article.
12:24 pm on January 27th, 2014
That is a beautiful picture Bee. Much better to be looking at it from inside.
We talked to the foster people who have Gucci. They said she is a little doll – no accidents, no food aggression, great with their other dogs and their 10 year old daughter. All is looking good. She will be arriving Saturday morning if her checkup shows that the UTI is gone.

Hello All–It RAINED last night! (And we totally need it, so I’m happy.)
Macy–Nice photo/poster! (I’m tittering)
Dawson0–Laughing out loud…
Alice M. Johnson–I made a small donation via the Snowhook website last week that I hoped would automatically qualify for being matched. How do I find out?
12:56 pm on January 27th, 2014
Whew. talked to Judith…YAY. So fun to be doing this. Sent the chicken lady (DianeC. that means BarbandMaggie) my info and so maybe she will join us on our train trip. I think I should order some new cards for the trip.
Dawson the reservation is made. WhooHEee!
Gosh won’t Melanie and Amalia be surprised when they find out. Gulp.
Barb, I have driven in snow like that and it isn’t fun. At least he had a car in front of him so he could see a little bit the way to go. YIKES
Speaking of weather. It was a bright and sunny -15 this morning. Right now we are up to -12. I don’t know what the wind chill is but we would call is really cold. heh heh heh. I am looking forward to warming up in AK! Here is the forecast.

HO’H–Glad your Mom is doing better–please cooperate so she can get enough rest.
Is anyone getting sprung from the hospital today?
1:09 pm on January 27th, 2014
Hey DianeC.
Usually, to match, you tell the person running that fund that you would like to donate so much for a matching grant and they tell the list.
I do not show a donation for Booties from you on my list. If you did make a donation to the booties my SDD is ncdrewatgeemaledotcom. I bet you can figure that out.
If your donation was to the Feed the Giant fund (Rio) or to the checkpoint fund (Dawson) they should have been notified by you also. So, if you just sent it to Snowhook, let one of us know please.
1:34 pm on January 27th, 2014
Thank you Dawson. That was funny. I wonder what Chet would think of three tennis balls in the mouth.
1:49 pm on January 27th, 2014
(muffled) Mouf-fuh.

Staff, Got it, will be checking tickets this afternoon.
Barb just watched me outside doing my business. First I faced west, than I turned around and faced east. But maybe that is because our lower yard is on an incline and I would be facing down hill if I faced north. Further study is needed.
2:09 pm on January 27th, 2014
Mom is sorry. She was super busy this weekend and didn’t get the budget looked at but she will. I know she has some extra money from the airline refund that she can send to several of these funds. And maybe get some candy bars sent to the Giant!
2:15 pm on January 27th, 2014
Is it just Me Having Deja Vu, or is today’s post Strangely Familiar?
2:19 pm on January 27th, 2014
Yes, but mom thought she was hallucinating. So we might be hallucinating together. Does that make us twins?
2:49 pm on January 27th, 2014
Hounds: Hallucinating-Going Back in Time always does that to you.
And, Yes we’re Twins.
2:56 pm on January 27th, 2014
BSD–I was wondering about that too (didn’t say anything lest someone point out the fast-fading brain cells…)
2:57 pm on January 27th, 2014
BSD–I think you were clever to keep changing your orientation. You have to inject a little excitement and interest into your life however you can. (Also makes for full employment for scientists…)
2:58 pm on January 27th, 2014
BSD–Sorry–I was mixing you up with someone else in that last message–meant for the Barb and Maggie 4-legged.

Staff, We remember looking out at views like that!
4:20 pm on January 27th, 2014
Aye from all of us too!
Hi everyone – our family is now back all together. In a nutshell, the Storyteller had developed pleurisy. They kept him hanging around the hospital so he could get breathing treatments until his lung was all healed. He got sprung yesterday.
Mama actually had the flu, even though she did get a flu shot. She was feeling kind of sickly last week as you know. On Friday morning, she felt really sick, and went to the Urgent Care at her doctor’s office. That’s the last thing she remembers until hearing the ambulance siren…from inside the ambulance. Sheesh.
She was in a “Precaution Room” in the hospital, so no one could come in without a sterile gown, mask and gloves. And she was pretty sick. But she didn’t know anything about the Storyteller not liking her nurse until she read it on this here blog.
Today, the doctor said her lungs were clear and her fever was gone, so he threw her out of the hospital before she caught some bug that might be floating around there. She is home, but has to stay away from Gramp and the Storyteller unless she is wearing a mask. And she is not allowed into the kitchen – she can’t touch anything.
(snickering a little here)
And now, she says she needs a nap – and we get to join her. Hope everyone else is either healthy or getting better.
4:30 pm on January 27th, 2014
T&G, hold her down and keep her warm during the nap. Will the boys survive having to “bach” it in the kitchen? Daddy Dawg is pretty handy but mom’s Papa could burn water ๐
4:46 pm on January 27th, 2014
Major guffaw that Golinka is banned from the kitchen. I see a couple of men learning to use a can opener fast.
4:52 pm on January 27th, 2014
We think they should make her some homemade chicken soup to help her get better. Get goin’ guys!

Macy: giggle, snort, chuffle.
Diane, looks like the “ayes” have it, even T&G’s Mama got in on it. You need an avatar ๐
5:21 pm on January 27th, 2014
Golinka we are sure glad you are back and good enough to be out of the hospital. Now get back in the bed and rest up. The quilt is available.
I might just have to nap now also.

Pure happiness…so wonderful that the Royal family is home.
7:11 pm on January 27th, 2014
Cute Corgi! We just read that the Queen likes Dorgies too.
Barb is supposed to go to Josh’s tomorrow morning at 5:00 a.m. to watch the kids while they go to Florida for a bike business trip. Most of the flights at O’Hare were canceled today, so not sure they will really be leaving. Hopefully they will call and tell us that the flight has been rescheduled for later in the day. The bike manufacturer paid for their tickets so they didn’t have any choice on the time. Yuck!
The kids will just be here tomorrow, Friday afternoon, and Sat. evening for an overnight, then ‘rents will return Sunday.
7:32 pm on January 27th, 2014
T and G–Yay! This is wonderful news (especially the group nap).
Everyone–You’re talking about those tiny little pictures that can’t even be seen with any detail, right?
7:42 pm on January 27th, 2014
Bingo! Mom is computer illiterate so had to have help.
7:42 pm on January 27th, 2014

BSD – That is EXACTLY the expression we have now that proper tummy attention is being paid.
And we love that video – of course we think that doggie is nuts…
Guess what? We get to sleep with Mama tonight. She still has to be isolated, but we can’t catch the flu, so we get to sleep with her.
And that is where we are headed now – good night all, and thanks for all the good thoughts.
9:43 pm on January 27th, 2014
(whispering – those dam Corgis THINK they get to sleep with Mama, but since she is sleeping in the living room on an air mattress, we think it is OUR job to test for correct air pressure.
Bo-ing, bo-ing, aaaaeeeeeiiiiii – KAT-A-PULT!
