Love The Idea …

… in the comments yesterday that the sentences in the post were the first two sentences of the next Chet and Bernie. They’re not! But maybe they should be.

Maybe the commenters should be writing the books! And I’ll do the comments.

I hope the next book picks up with Bernie and. Chet in the hospital. That was some ending to the last book
I also hope that a change in publishing will result in big bucks for OFA

CHobbitz: Sounds like a Good Beginning to us too!

If you decide to visit the Hobbit Hotel West you will have the whole place to yourself. How far is your house from the Ventura Fires?

Wow! We just went out to make sniffers and 3, yes THREE, raccoons ran out of our yard. Did we bark? You bet! Are we good? For sure.

I got busy cleaning up the ipaw in order to take it on vacation and forgot to check the blog yesterday.
Yes! I want to read the first two sentences of the new book!

I enjoy looking at all your southern yards with dustings of snow.
We have a foot and a half or so and there is a mama and baby deer that visit nightly. They browse in the front flower garden and have uncovered the pumpkin and the large sunflower that I did not clean up this Fall.

I have decided to try to make some luminaries even though it is not very cold here. I looked up on the website for Arcticicelantern.com and they say you have to freeze it 2 hours for every (average) degree of temperature. Since the average for the next few days will be 30 degrees that means I have to wait 60 HOURS!
So If I am starting at 8 pm tonight I will have luminaries by 10 p.m. Monday evening.
Oh well. The longest journey starts with one step…

If any of you were checking the math up above I decided the average temp. over that period would be 25 degrees and I would only need 50 hours. So much less time!

Staff: You still have some of those molds left?! I have over froze all mine.

Rio: I could call it a “swan beak” flower. A few hundred swan beaks in that one mammoth Russian flower.

HOH: Keep those possibly intelligent raccoons out of your yard!

The footage of the fires in California is terrifying.

Dawson, I had to order two more because I over-froze mine too. I had one left. Now I have 3. LOL. I will be checking them long before the due date because I HATE it when I over-freeze them.

Should I order some in for you to take back to Canada?

I have pictures of my tiny trees for those of you not on Facebook. I haven’t put up Christmas decorations since my mother died the day after Christmas in 2012. My husband talked about it last year and I grudgingly put up one small tree. But these others were waiting in the closet for the force to be with me. LOL
Tree number one is just like the one I bought for my parents many years ago. It has fiber-optic lights but I like to put on the little round lights too. It started out with ornaments but after Henry and Keiko removed and broke 3 of them I went with garland only.

Tree number two is a wire tree I bought from Smith and Hawken about 25 years ago. It used to be up all the time in the sitting room Jim and I used at my parents house. You can bend the wire any way you want. I got really bendy this year so I could put on the different sized ornaments.

Tree number 3 was at a garden store in Fargo about 10 years ago. I just loved its lime green tinsel look. They were out of them except for the display, so that is what I got. I don’t remember ever putting it up before. Now I feel the need to make a small runner (as a tree skirt) and matching quilt to hang on the wall because the lime green really doesn’t “go” with the pink and teal quilt behind it.
    The bears love it.
