Last Day Of The Month
Admin smacks his forehead. “February! Almost got caught with our pants down.”
“That would never do,” says Spence. “Last day of the month means it’s the last chance to be March’s Friend of the Month. Just send in a photo to the Friends gallery. The random number generator – “
” – pictured below – “
” – does the rest. Winner gets displayed over in the special place where Jackson is now, and the winner’s human companion gets a signed and paw-printed copy of A Fistful of Collars.”
“Fun, easy, and no taxes!”
Welcome Dakota, Jake, Mara; Ella.

Happy Day! Rose and the Prof should be fast asleep in their Anchorage hotel, which we are hoping is NOT part of the Ash Tray chain of hotels.
Youse guys who manned Flight Tracker Central into the wee hours are amazing. Kudos to you. But we hope Masquers did not keep his mom awake, as she needs her sleep to get well for The Last Great Race! Woo Hooo !!!!!M
This weekend is the start of the Iditarod, AND Pop’s birthday!!!! Does it get any better than that? You tell us.
8:13 am on February 28th, 2013
I still think the random number generator looks like a meat grinder.
Good morning all.
8:21 am on February 28th, 2013
Good morning all. Read all the late night posts. Glad they are finally there and hopefully sleeping in this morning.
Jaye is coming this morning for his final visit, Thank Dog! We start practicing with the cane today.
Looks like snow may have stopped for now. I think our final tally was about 10+ inches of heavy, wet stuff.
8:43 am on February 28th, 2013
Yikes! What a day! Hopefully heavy eyelids will win over excitement and sleep will be had. Glad R&P arrived…finally. Still can’t do Rio’s math for all those miles but wowser! Also Rio, if ya’ll want some fine country singin’, just listen to the Herd of Hounds when we get goin’ here near Chattanooga.
9:02 am on February 28th, 2013
Yawn….Wose is in Alaska. Someone this makes the state seem smaller.
I’m going to catch more sleep while my Lady and the Giant get ready for a very long day ahead.
9:02 am on February 28th, 2013
Good morning all. Admin – gee, thanks for that mental image first thing in the morning. Just keep your pants up please.
At long last, the travelers have arrived and survived. Bet they are gonna be in shock as to how cold it really is in Alaska. We do hope there are Los of northern lights for them.
Is today the mushers meeting when they draw their bibs? Or does that happen at the banquet?
9:54 am on February 28th, 2013
Landed!…Rose and the Prof are going to wake up in Alaska sometime today…snort!snort!
Maskers!… Great job manning Mission Control and the FTD…chuffle!…Holy Kat! I did not expect you to stay up all night, but you did it anyways…snort!….Thanks for stepping up and bringing Rose and the Prof in safely if only 2 days late….wheeze!
10:06 am on February 28th, 2013
Wookie’s Dad: Thank you for letting me know that Debbie likes Charles Finch. I’ve downloaded A Beautiful Blue Death to my Kindle.
10:54 am on February 28th, 2013
Wake up, Wose! I want to hear about Alaska!
Guys, should I jump on her?
10:59 am on February 28th, 2013
Sleeping!…Everyong is sleeping in or waiting for Rose to post…heh!heh!…Excitement is building I a can almost feel it…sniff!
11:04 am on February 28th, 2013
Okay, okay…everybody keep your pants on.
Friends of the Month: Jackson, you were a calming presence during the month of February. Welcome to Ella and the 3 wet-heads and to Bogie the blogger. Good luck to all with the Random
Wheat GrinderNumber Generator.Wose and the Prof: Put your long underwear on – you’re in Alaska now. It was a looooong trip but you plundered on.
Masquers and Snowbella: Thanks for keeping an eye on the sky until the Plunderers arrived safely in Anchorage.

From Iditarod.com calendar for today:
Mandatory Musher Meeting: 8 – 4
Iditarider Lunch with Musher 12 noon
Schade Winery Hosted Wine Tasting 4:30
Musher Banquet 6:00
So who is AJ’s Iditarider?
CHobbit: When do you leave for Anchorage?
11:28 am on February 28th, 2013
Yesterday Donna found out for the hundredth time why it is awesome being a librarian on Long Island. She was invited to a book presentation at Simon & Schuster in midtown. Editors speak one at a time about the most exciting titles coming up later in the year. One of these was Sound and the furry. The editor was impressed that we took part in the naming contest.
11:43 am on February 28th, 2013
Dawson!…CHobbit is opting to go to a birthday party instead of the start of the Iditarod this year….phoooey!snort!
11:43 am on February 28th, 2013
TerryB: The Sound and the Furry is the most exciting title for me.
Librarians deserve their perks…
11:44 am on February 28th, 2013
Calendar!…Wow! Today is a big day. Too bad everyone was up all night long…heh!heh!…I hope they make it to the wine tasting before the banquet…chuffle!…That will help the moose meat go down easier…burp!
11:48 am on February 28th, 2013
Cood Day Everyone!
We cannot wait to Hear from Wose!
Belle-Starr must be Beside Herself with Excitement.
Terry: How fabulous THAT must be…an invitation to the Simon & Schuster Book Presentation. Another Plunderer is twirling today.
Dawson: Thanks for the update on the Giant’s and SnowBella’s schedule.
11:50 am on February 28th, 2013
Gah!…I’m all Poodled-Up today…snort!…I can’t wait for things to start happening albeit without me…huffle!
12:10 pm on February 28th, 2013
My plundering friends: yes, I am partying this weekend. One of my (literally) oldest friends has a birthday today actually but is celebrating Saturday. She knew the conflict that I had on my schedule and would have understood if I had chosen to be in Anchorage/Willow. However, it is one of those VIBDMs (very important birthday decade markers) so I recently made the decision to drive to Fox this weekend and join her. I was at her other special VIBDM 10 years ago and would have to wait another 10 years for the next one.
So…I am leaving the Iditarod start-up coverage in the very capable hands of Rose and the Prof who as non-Alaskans will be able to convey the adventure and excitement of Alaska and mushing in ways that as a “native,” I cannot. I, myself, am looking forward to reading the blog in the days ahead. Since my computer is going into the shop today to get various updates/upgrades, I am hoping my iPaw steps up and performs just as well as my trusty laptop. I guess I should have planned this computer tune-up better–GAH!
12:14 pm on February 28th, 2013
Rio: I guess I got the wrong end of the stick about CHobbit.
Who is the Iditarider? It is our Wose, isn’t it?
12:22 pm on February 28th, 2013
CHobbit: You enjoy your friends’ VIBD party. I will miss your reporting but, as you say, Wose and the Prof will give us a brand new outlook on the race.
12:24 pm on February 28th, 2013
C.Harris, We are sorry you can’t go to the Idiatard this year, but we know you will have a fun weekend. I remember the amazing photos you took last year.
Masquers, Great job last night reporting on Rose’s flight. I had fun this morning reading all the flight posts. Once I knew Rose and the Professor would make it to Anchorage, I fell asleep.
Perhaps Natasha could get Spence a later model random number generator. I read that items that were once manufactured in East Germany are selling very well. Natasha could smuggle one out of Germany.
12:25 pm on February 28th, 2013
I didn’t expect Masquers to stay up so late last night, but every time I looked to my side while at the FTD, there was my pal. You should see his paws fly over the controls. We did push some dog pillows together and I borrowed some dog blankets from the team so his mom could rest and we could keep an eye on her.
AJ will draw his bib number tonight at the banquet. Think positive thoughts for an early number.
12:28 pm on February 28th, 2013
Whitey-Lance…I am thinking positive thoughts and getting really excited.
12:54 pm on February 28th, 2013
Masquers the Snow Cat: If MacyMinPin and her Small Dog Iditarod team need some team members, are you a possibility? It might help the team go a little faster if they have a Kat as lead dog.
1:09 pm on February 28th, 2013
SiberH: Pawsitive thoughts for a low, low, really low number are being thunk. (sorry B. – it just sounded right) I vote for the number 2.
1:41 pm on February 28th, 2013
2 !
2:03 pm on February 28th, 2013
Is there anything higher than 2? Chet says no.
Busy morning here. P.T. first than Kelly arrived and Barb went for a ride with her. Went to one store for dog food, then to the grocery where Barb walked her longest walk in a month. Now her knee is ready for a big rest. Hope we have heard from Rose by the time we come back. Yawn….
2:04 pm on February 28th, 2013
Rebecca!…Have you met up with Rose and the Prof yet?…wooooo!
2:09 pm on February 28th, 2013
Chorkel!…It’s only 10:00am in Alaska right now…sniff!…Everyone is still sleeping I bet…grunt!…Sounds good to me.
2:12 pm on February 28th, 2013
Well, the mind pictures just keep coming. Admin’s pants? I just don’t want to think about it.
But a poodled-up rio just makes me want to laugh!
Been on the road since 9 am, now it’s nap time.
Congratulations on a safe trip!
I am thinking good thoughts for the number two.
2:19 pm on February 28th, 2013
Two!…If I think about number 2 very much I will have to go Out!Out!Out!…sniff!…And I do not want to do that. I will think about all the other lower numbers…wuffle!
2:21 pm on February 28th, 2013
Maybe we should all put in Plunder Prayers for the number 2. Heh. That should have some effect. That way Snowhook won’t have to wait so long in Anchorage before the Ceremonial Start.
How about it?
2:27 pm on February 28th, 2013
Staff!…Now I have to go Out! and it’s all your fault…sniff!
2:37 pm on February 28th, 2013
Bear – I got to go last time and it was way cool. They always have one author there to talk about their book, and they give away more galleys than you can possibly carry. About 18 months ago, the author was some guy who wrote about a dog that narrates his adventures with a detective agency. Donna came home that night and said “I have to read this immediately.” That’s how I came to be here.
2:45 pm on February 28th, 2013
Terry!…heh!snort!heh!…That is pretty amazing how you found us…snort!
3:04 pm on February 28th, 2013
Terry, it is obvious that Librarians rule.
3:07 pm on February 28th, 2013
Terry: What I remember is you posting that you had read the newest Chet and Bernie book and it wasn’t even for sale yet. I tried to talk you into sending it my way but no dice. Donna obviously knows a good thing when she sees one.
3:18 pm on February 28th, 2013
Is very bad news – ve tried to get more modern Random Number Generator for Admin. Is no good. So, ve try get parts for old von. Clerk actually laughed at Natasha! Vas very rude. He said machine is so old, no von could possibly have vorking von. Vhen ve told him yes, vas von still vorking, he suggest ve get old Model T for parts to try to use. Or hand crank cotton gin, vhatever is that.
Ve know about hand-mashed vodka – is same thing?
3:21 pm on February 28th, 2013
HOH is sure 2 is good, just ask Chet (1+1=2). We’re backing you up on this!
3:31 pm on February 28th, 2013
Good Morning from Alaska!
Today me and the Prof will meet Rebecca and the Giant and attend the Musher’s Banquet. (whispering) I will be looking very closely at my plate for moose lips. shiver!
Flying into Anchorage last night was beautiful. Although the Prof and I were not sitting together for this leg of the flight, the Prof saw a beautiful starlit sky, and I saw the lights of Anchorage and enormous moutains covered with snow. Just beautiful!
No Ashtray Inn for us last night! We stayed at the Dimond Center Hotel, by Rebecca’s suggestion. What a lovely hotel!
We will go to our regular hotel tonight, and meet the Jodi and Mick, the people, not the puppies.
Plans tomorrow are for a sled ride!!! I’m twirling, and getting ready to splort. Rio and Siber-H, you will both meet Rio Jr. as well. Can’t wait to meet Belle Starr, Luna, Poncho, Lefty, W-L, Tenz, and the rest of the dogs.
3:36 pm on February 28th, 2013
Thank youse guys who manned mission control these past few days.
I know you worked very hard keeping track of our travels.
3:42 pm on February 28th, 2013
I’m sorry Dawson. Last year I did have an advanced galley, but I don’t remember you asking for it. This year, Donna will be using her superpowers with publishers to get a galley of Sound & Furry, so we’ll see.
3:45 pm on February 28th, 2013
Rose! Amazing enough you’re Here on the blog and There in Alaska at the Same Time!
We are excited to hear Everything. Don’t leave anything out.
3:46 pm on February 28th, 2013
ROSE!…Thanks for checking in with us…snort!…We are wondering what you guys are up to, you know!…wheeze!
3:49 pm on February 28th, 2013
Rose! I sure hope the Prof. has his allergy meds in hand when he meets all the gang. I am so jealous of you two. Have fun on your ride.
Hugs,
Staff and the kats.
3:54 pm on February 28th, 2013
Yea Wose! Let the festivities begin.
4:03 pm on February 28th, 2013
Wow! Rose is talkling to us from Alaska!
Terry, That is a neat story how you came to join the blog.
Natasha, Thanks for trying. You gave it your all…I know you did.
4:16 pm on February 28th, 2013
Now that Rose and the Prof are in Alaska, that can only mean one thing:
The Iditarod starts soon, soon, soon!
I can’t wait to hear who is on the A Team and who will be racing the Lead Position!
4:16 pm on February 28th, 2013
We enjoyed Terry’s story too.
Rose give us all the details, we are living thru you the The Prof. for the next few days. Glad you finally got there.
4:17 pm on February 28th, 2013
(Whispering) I hope that Natty brought some decent shoes this year. Her high heels gave her nothing but blisters last year!
4:33 pm on February 28th, 2013
It’s good to hear from Rose.
4:36 pm on February 28th, 2013
I’m so exited I can’t settle down for my afternoon nap.
4:40 pm on February 28th, 2013
Dr. Sam: Thanks to you and the lovely Kat being blurred over by Luna last night, Mom was feeling so much better that I was able to man the FTD controls with the infamous wanderer, WL, for the last leg of the journey.
Our supplies were running low at Mission Central last night, but Whitey and I managed to make it through to the end of our shift with a couple of crumbs left over.
Exhausted, but happy, we fell into our beds.
So now I am back on the Island after running a midday trek to the store. Let me tell youse, it was raining kats and dawgs out there for a while, but nothing can damper our spirits today.
Knowing that in a few hours our jet-setting Plunderers will be meeting some of the biggest names in mushing is exciting enough, but nothing, nothing in this day will ever compare to meeting the wonderful Snowhook team and AJ and Rebecca.
4:43 pm on February 28th, 2013
Sammie!… She is All Poodled-Up too!…snort!snort!
4:43 pm on February 28th, 2013
Rose&theProf: Moose lips! I’m laughing. How about some…well, never mind, I’m glad you finally made it to Alaska!
Don’t forget to hang on to your gloves when you meet Lefty, give Whitey Lance a thumbs up from me for his reporting and get a close-up of Rio, Junior’s eyebrows. And give them some extra love from all of us Chet fans.
Terry: I only hinted. Cool story on how you came to Chet & Bernie.
4:54 pm on February 28th, 2013
Terry: We do remember seeing your photo when you were meeting Spence for the first time.
And, now here you are a fellow Plunderer.
Only eight degrees of separation…isn’t that what they say?
5:03 pm on February 28th, 2013
Six!…Six degrees of separation…snort!…That is an excellant movie by the way. Six Degrees of Separation
5:28 pm on February 28th, 2013
Riö: I’m chalking it up to sleep deprivation. Heh.
5:41 pm on February 28th, 2013
Terry – we are far more blatant than Dawson – we will do more than hint. We are simply adorable when we beg!
Rose – sigh – we are SOOOOOO envious. Have a fabulous time. We look forward to your reports, but don’t forget – the first priority of your mission is to have a great vacation!
5:41 pm on February 28th, 2013
Tracking!… We should have put a GPS Tracker on Rose…sniff!…Then we could follow her around Alaska…heh!heh!
6:15 pm on February 28th, 2013
A gps tracker on Rose! What a great idea! Too bad we are a day late and a dollar short.
Rose! We here are twirling for you and the Prof. Alaska, by Dawg! Youse did it! And we know that trip was not easy. But now you’re there, and it’s time to ENJOY! We can’t wait to hear all.
Terry, great story on how you found us and Chet!
6:16 pm on February 28th, 2013
Help please. Yesterday I was playing with my dogs and got head-bumped under my jaw. It hurt but I thought nothing of it. However today I can hardly open my mouth. I can talk but it is hard to get food in my mouth. There is no visible bruising but both “hinges” hurt and the left side where I was struck pops and clicks when I try to open my mouth further. I dont think my jaw is dislocated but will this clear up on its own or do I go to the doctor or dentist? Should I try forcing my mouth open or just take it easy? I figure that one of youse have been through this before and you might save me a $200 medical visit. Thanks
6:23 pm on February 28th, 2013
OMD, Hobbit! Get the to the doctor. We have never had this happen, so we don’t speak from experience. But it certainly sounds like a doctor visit to us…and believe us, none of us are big on doctor visits.
$200 for a doc visit???? !!!! wow.
6:26 pm on February 28th, 2013
C.Hobbit: Oh, Dog and just when your friend’s Celebratory Birthday Bash is coming up.
Sounds like you need some Expert Advice.
6:27 pm on February 28th, 2013
I got hit in the jaw by a fast moving softball once. I did have an xray. It wasn’t broken and I was told not to force it. To drink shakes, smoothies and smooth soups through a straw for awhile (seemed like forever – maybe one or two weeks – your jaw will let you know). If you know it isn’t broken, I think a dentist would be more helpful than a doctor, just to make sure the jaw is aligned properly.
6:30 pm on February 28th, 2013
Hugs, kisses and giggles! The Giant, my Lady, Wose and the Professor have met!!!
6:55 pm on February 28th, 2013
What about Belle Starr??? We are guessing she is in belly rub heaven by now. 🙂
7:02 pm on February 28th, 2013
CHobbit – do NOT force the jaw. If both sides are stiff, it is probably not broken. Ice today, heat tomorrow and for a few days. Aspirin to reduce inflammation. Wrap up well in a scarf if you go outside – do not let the cold air hit it. Straws and liquids for a day or two.
And if you are nit significantly better in a couple days, OR if the pain and “lockjaw” are worse tomorrow – hi ho, hi ho – it’s to the v e t you go.
7:04 pm on February 28th, 2013
Do not let the cold air hit it? Hello! T&G, do you realize that the Hobbit lives at the North Poll? !!!
7:09 pm on February 28th, 2013
The vet once put me on soft foods and no chewies for a week because I had sore jaw hinges. So in your case, C.Harris, that would mean be kind to it and don’t force it.
I do not know about the poping and clicking. Dawson could be right about checking jaw alignment.
7:14 pm on February 28th, 2013
Can youse say EXCITED????? We can’t believe how soon it STARTS!!!!
7:18 pm on February 28th, 2013
Yikes. I concur with Dawson and The Royals. My other opinion is, OUCH.
Rose and Prof have a wonderful time.
Signing off . .TTFN
7:34 pm on February 28th, 2013
Lock-Jaw!…Is this one of your new dieting tricks C.Hobbit?…sniff!sniff!…Take it easy and do what Stinky Mama tells you…wheeze!….She is a walking medical library…heh!
7:39 pm on February 28th, 2013
CHobbit: The good news is, after a week or so of trying to talk without moving your jaws you are halfway to becoming a ventriloquist.
7:42 pm on February 28th, 2013
Protein shakes it is! I guess by Monday I will know what to do.
7:44 pm on February 28th, 2013
Dawson: I’ve always been fascinated by ventriloquists.
7:46 pm on February 28th, 2013
CHobbit!…You should try and catch Jeff Dunham on tv…sniff!…He is one of the very best Ventriloquists out there right now…snort!…Funny as all get out too!
8:00 pm on February 28th, 2013
Found this somehow. Thought Mr.Husky might be interested. It is a TV cooking show that features Hank DeBruin and his huskies and what he feeds them. Long though. About 24 minutes.

8:12 pm on February 28th, 2013
C Hobbit, mom’s jaws act up like that from time to time. The dentist said absolutely DO NOT FORCE IT. Once is was locked at straw width for over a week and she lost 5 lbs!
I have just realized that there will be no trackers for the small dog race! How are people supposed to know when we have completed each half-mile leg? Don’t blame me if we get lost and nobody ever finds us. Now I am getting all poodled up too.
8:20 pm on February 28th, 2013
Thank you Staff! I am going to watch it now. I don’t know how you find all this good stuff.
Macy, Is your dad recovering okay?
8:20 pm on February 28th, 2013
Videos!…Hey youse guys, if you logon to your Insider account you can watch some videos of stuff that happened today..snort!..I looked and looked for AJ and Rebecca but did not see them at the meetings…wheeze!
8:44 pm on February 28th, 2013
Wasn’t there some talk about Wose picking the name for the winner of some prize at the Musher’s Banquet? Very vague I know, am I making that up?
8:48 pm on February 28th, 2013
Dawson!…No, I mean, yes, you do remember correctly, but that fund raising idea had to be abandoned because of legal-eagle issues..sniff!…So Rose will not be drawing anyone’s name out of a hat tonight that I know of anyways…snort!
8:51 pm on February 28th, 2013
YEEP!…I think I see The Giant in the Mushers Toast video!…snort!…He is one of the tallest guys along the back wall…heh!…Of course!
8:53 pm on February 28th, 2013
Oh,Phooey.
I can’t watch anymore videos until tomorrow because I am almost over my allowable band width usage, and if that happens, I can kiss a small fortune goodbye.
8:53 pm on February 28th, 2013
Staff, That is a very good video. The Howlers will like it.
8:54 pm on February 28th, 2013
Macy, I’m really ready for this. I can’t wait for us to run, run, run. I’ll bring Mommy’s GPS.
8:55 pm on February 28th, 2013
Tall guy, back row? That’s him for sure!
8:58 pm on February 28th, 2013
Dad is doing super, a little tired, but hardly any pain.
Princess, I have some pink booties for the race. I will try to post a picture tomorrow. They have the non-skid stuff of the bottom!
8:59 pm on February 28th, 2013
Giant!…YES! It is definitely AJ in a couple of videos during the Mushers Toast in the back row being very Tall….snort!…I thought I might have seen Rebecca in the Iditarider video right at the beginning in a purple shirt, but cannot confirm this sighting…grunt!
9:05 pm on February 28th, 2013
MacyMinPin: We will have to do it by the old fashioned method. Those trackers have only been in use for a few years. I’ve been reading about the Iditarod Air Force on Iditarod.com. There are many volunteer pilots who fly between checkpoints with supplies and dogs. In cases of extreme emergency Alaska may supply Black Hawks and Hercules helicopters. And, if AJ is anywhere near you, he will rescue you!
9:08 pm on February 28th, 2013
Paw!…Glad to hear Paw is doing well and pain-free…wuffle!…It’s nice to get good news lately instead of gloom and doom…sigh!…Although, there is that Lock-Jaw incident we will have to monitor…grunt!
9:12 pm on February 28th, 2013
Banquet!…Do youse guys think there will be a live feed of the Banquet tonight?…wheeze!…I wonder whats on the menu…sniff!
9:14 pm on February 28th, 2013
Darn it. I get an “error loading media: file could not be played message when I try to watch those video’s Rio mentioned. WhY?????
I am an Ultimate Insider. Shouldn’t I be able to get these?
Sob sob sob.
9:15 pm on February 28th, 2013
Staff: Did you log in?
9:16 pm on February 28th, 2013
Staff!…did you logon to your account first?…sniff!…Does it ask you to upgrade your Media Player? Melanie might be the expert on this problem…wheeze!
9:23 pm on February 28th, 2013
Well, I thought I was signing off.
Macy, glad your Dad is doing better. I will have to watch the videos tomorrow.
I will keep the iPaw by my bed so I can check during the night to find out AJ’s number.
Why am I still up? First I had to talk with GLAD while she drove home. She was yawning the whole 30 miles.
Next, YSAS’s SO has an interview, in her chosen field, tomorrow and the printer didn’t work. She needed her resume! So using my dandy iPaw I facetime-d and figured out what was wrong.
I have now used up my available brain wave length. snicker
TTFN again
9:30 pm on February 28th, 2013
Melanie: Past your bedtime!
9:31 pm on February 28th, 2013
Staff!…Are you still having trouble?…sniff!…Not the time to be unable to view Iditarod Videos by golly…wheeze!
9:35 pm on February 28th, 2013
It says I have to have flash player which I have and which is updated and Yes I am logged in. In fact I logged out and logged in again just in case. No difference.
I thought there was a link somewhere in their website where you could send problems, but if it is there I can’t find it.
AUGGGHHHHHH!
Drat.
9:35 pm on February 28th, 2013
Rio, I do not think there will be a live feed of the Banquet.

Staff!…Can you send me a screen-shot of the error message you are getting?…snort!…Nevermind, this is something my friend said for me to say to you….heh!heh!…She does this problem solving crap all day long – it’s not for me, let me tell you right now…grunt!

Staff, I second what Rio said about emailing the Iditarod Insider people.

All paws crossed and thinking TWO! TWO! TWO!
Macy – so glad everything is ok. Whew!
Oh, and Gilly will be our rep on the Small Dogs Team. She will be wearing the booties that a certain visitor from Akaska gave to our Gramp this past summer. They are just plain black booties, but Mama is going to bling them up like the hats she makes. So those Northern Lights that you might be seeing- well that may just be the flashing paws of the Mighty Gillyflower.

TWO TWO TWO TWO TWO TWO…
I emailed the insider people. I will try to send Rio’s friend a screen shot.
Yikes.
10:09 pm on February 28th, 2013
Screen-Shot!…Really?…hmmm. Okay get the error to appear on your screen. Then simutaneously hit the “Alt” and “PrntScr” buttons on your keyboard…sniff!…NOW open Microsoft Word and hit the “Ctrl” and letter “v” on the key board…this will copy the screenshot to a word doc. Then save the doc and attach it to an email to Me!…snort!…Easy-Peezy

We’ve been watching the PBS documentary on the women’s movement. It’s great. But now we read about Insider videos. Woo hoo! Going to look for that.
That number Rose is to pick is for the winner of the SK. It’s a Snowhook fundraiser, not an Iditarod fundraiser.

Drat, I have been able to do this in the past but my print screen button on this laptop is the same as my END button and I can’t figure out how to make it prtsc. (END) is on top and I use it all the time. I have never tried to use PRTSC on this laptop before. When I print to the Open Office page all I get is “email with your Insider access information,” no pic of the page at all.
I guess I will have to wait until the inside folks email me back.
Dagnabbit.

Howlers!…I already answered the question as to WHY Rose will not be picking a number out of a hat for a hat…sniff!
10:47 pm on February 28th, 2013
We saw your answer, Rio…some sort of mumbo jumbo.
Watched the Insider videos, but we’re having trouble with the Sibe video on our iPaw. We’ll try to “borrow” Mom’s big computer tomorrow.
Bedtime here. 2 2 2 2 2

Howlers – heh heh heh!
Mama’s beloved first Corgi used to work in her studio and store with her. She LOVED feathers, and almost always had feather fluffs stuck on her nose. One of Mama’s prized possessions is a photo that Melanie took of her sweet face, complete with feather.
Still thinking 2! 2! 2!

MacyMinPin: On the Iditarod.com site, I’m reading under 2013 race a heading called “broadcast schedule”. It says to “click here to watch” the Ceremonial and the Restart.

C.Honbit,
How is your jaw feeling now?

From what I can see, the only way to see the starts is if you get those channels, only available in Alaska.

I do not even understand how I stopped up here, however I believed this submit was great. I do not recognize who you might be however certainly you’re going to a famous blogger for those who aren’t already. Cheers!
