Good morning everyone. So many dogs, so little time. BooBear, we agree, King just lacked a sparkle but he was nice looking.
    Have a happy Hump day.

    Greetings!

Congratulations to King! I am reminded that in the movies, Asta, the Thin Man’s dog was a wire-haired fox terrier.

We had about 3 inches of snow yesterday, which was quickly covered over with ice. Grizz got to work from home yesterday. :^)

    Good day to all!

As I referenced in an earlier email, in addition to seeing all the historic sites in Egypt and Jordan, there were also a lot of canine sitings as well. In particular, there are a number of Beduin communities that appear to live right in the Petra complex, replete with goats and donkeys and dogs, many of which probably serve as herding dogs but others that may just be family pets. Also, most of the dogs appear to roam pretty much freely through the Petra complex including at the major tourist sites. I have a collection that I call the Dogs of Petra, of a number that I was able to photograph and will post there here. They all seemed quite friendly and domesticated.

Bear: What you said about Asta! The original Powell/Loy “Thin Man” movies are so much fun!

I actually have three more photos in my Dogs of Petra collection but for some reason when I tried to post them, they disappears into the blog ether. I will try again now.

W’s&t’s Paw – that was so thoughtful of you, to take and then post puppy pictures on Chet’s blog. Well done. Glad you’re home safely.

Bluekat: We have been thinking of youse lately. It is possible we may need to lay low for a while so Beau can cool off. Are you accepting visitors of the lovable miscreant variety?

Thieves: I can attest to Bluekat’s wonderful house and hospitality. The food was delish and they let me sleep on a big bed. Bluekat’s mom was up for good times and we went hither and yon.

Thieves! We would welcome visitors. This week is #9 of 12 of chemo (three weeks off between sessions) for a loved one and frankly everyone is ready for the treatment to be over. 80% success rate, but still…

We’ll take you hither and yon accompanied by Slim Jims. Deal? We know Beau’s busy praying.

Also praying for BlueKat’s loved one.
Also really liking the dogs of Petra.
Also wondering why it is that Lhasas always get shut out.
