Jim Frangione

Nice to see ARF on this American Library Assoc. list of audio books for younger readers. Jim does a terrific job on all the Chet and Bernie books, as well as Bowser and Birdie.

Yes! The audiobooks get some love!!! I really couldn’t think of a better voice for the Chet & Bernie (or Bowser and Birdie) books.

As for Orlando…Orlando, and the Stanford rapist, and and and… Stop the world, I want off. Entitled, spoiled children. And bigots. Sick of all of ’em.

    Greetings!

    Thank you, and Amen Snowbella.

As I plan my next day trip, I just wanted to share with youse a picture from a mini-Pluderfest yesterday afternoon. Grizz and I met with Teddy RR, his mom, and dad who are enjoying some vacation time in Rhinebeck, NY, for a day trip to Eleanor Roosevelt’s home, Val-Kill in Hyde Park, NY. The tour was great! A wonderful lunch was served by Debbie, and we enjoyed a very nice dinner together. Grizz and I extend our thanks to Teddy, Debbie, and Maury for such a great day!

I was thinking, to make it easier to address us just type BMAL. Much easier than putting in commas and &. Besides, it has a nice ring to it.

I haven’t seen my garter snake in over a month. Either he moved, or something worse. After I went to all the trouble of talking about him in Spanish! LOL

Rose, I emailed a friend from Lena last week and ended by saying “Create a good day”. She wrote back that she loved that message. I told her it was not original and gave you credit for it.

I should do something about all these names.

Congrats to the Herd and also Staff for such fantastic health news!

Looks like we’re in transition. Leno had a seizure on Friday, probably the longest one he’s had to date. When we took him in a while ago, after his second one I think, the vet didn’t know why he was having them, and tests didn’t show up anything much. Since he only has them once or twice a year, he’s not on any meds. Still, I’m thinking it’s probably a good thing that he’s working less and Hilda is going out more.

This weekend, Hilda and i are taking my favorite daughter on a long weekend. We’re going to Northampton, MA to see a couple of concerts. Alena is looking forward to riding the train. Then she starts summer school on Monday, and I start a nw job on Monday. After getting home at dark in the morning. Fun times. Leno’s going to stay with Melanie’s nurse for a couple days, and we have to board Fiona (Mama can’t take care of her and we couldn’t find another sitter).

Kittens are growing. Rocky is going to be huge!

‘s about it from here. Glad Teddy and crew had some company, sounds like lots of people had a good time!

Today, we said good-bye to Zebbe and my son, Bishop. It was a decision that the Giant and my mama made with heavy hearts. We howled our fare-thee-well, and quickly received word from the Other Side of the Bridge that Zebbe and Bishop were welcomed and Restored to Prime.

The Giant was able to say good-bye before he returned to the glacier. I’m in charge of the kennel and keeping a close eye on my mama.

    HOH, Tee hee

Barb, M&AL. Milk chicken is one of those recipes that Mr.Staff often finds that he thinks will be wonderful but which take much time and effort. I made him do most of the chicken work and I did the fresh salad and the dressing.

I made the dressing in this bottle that I bought at the Linden Hills Co-op in Minneapolis.

    http://www.thegreenhead.com/2013/04/kolder-all-in-one-salad-dressing-bottle-for-mixing-storing-pouring.php

It has 8 recipes printed right on it. Because I had to zest 2 lemons for Mr.Staff’s recipe (you see what I mean about time and effort) I had a lot of fresh lemon juice so I used the Caesar salad recipe. Only I didn’t have dijon mustard so I used prepared. I didn’t think it tasted much like Caesar dressing, LOL, but it was OK.

I will try to find the milk chicken recipe…Evidently it is very trendy but I wouldn’t make it again. What a lot of work!

Zebbe and Bishop were greeted by many of our Plunderer Pups as they reached the other side. They are romping and having the best time.

That Milk Chicken recipe was evidently from James Oliver. You could tell from the wording that he is not from the US. Is he Australian?

I love lemon and garlic with chicken, but not too sure the curdled milk is appealing. He called it “split milk”. Ummmm?
