There is a video interview with Dr. Joe at the finish. (He’s funny!) He’s fine and the dogs look great. AJ shook his hand. (I think you need to subscribe to the Iditarod Insider to see the video. I’ll see if I can post the link.)
Good morning all.

Sorry, B, posting videos doesn’t work. YOu were right. BTW, Dr.Joehas a great sense of humor. Glad Snowhook is in good shape and 14 dogs and musher are headed home before too long.

Good morning HOH.
I think I saw Rebecca in the video also. She was holding the lead dog and then she runs after the sled after Joe moves off…with AJ on the runners. She will probably have some photos.

Right you are B. The DDD pointed the Pixie out to us as mom let him watch and chuckle at the video. Leave it to the Pixie to show up in Nome.

Greetings!
Congratulations to Dr. Joe!!!
Do we know which dog touched a paw to the burled arch?
Grizz and I will be visiting the dentist today. Grizz is having major work done…I am not. However, I will be his morale support in the waiting room. My reward will be one of the best bagels I have ever eaten and/or a frozen vanilla custard at Shake Shack. Heh, heh. :^)
Good day to all!

Will there even be a Paw Touching the Burled Arch this year? Isn’t that AJ’s Special Finish to the Race?

We thought so. But Harriss, the second-hand sled dog, is still special!

A couple of interesting facts about this year’s mushers. Gunnar Johnson ran the race back in the 1990s . Frank Lanier let Johnson take his place this year because then there had bad knees . Dr. Joe Carson carried his grandfathers ashes. His grandfather ran in the first I did a Rod back in the 1970s.

BSD: I know! Sadie still acts as if there are 3 doormen to let her in and out all day long. Mr.Big yesterday stayed on the heated floor in the bathroom and didn’t come out for hours. I went to check on him and thought he seemed depressed.

Interesting tidbit: NOME –
Iditarod competitors were allowed to carry and use cell phones for the first time during the race.
Heh, heh…for all the good it did them…with no cell service or wifi.
