Iditarod

Here – thanks to SV – is Dr. Joe Carson, Snowhook Kennel’s designated musher, at the finish line in Nome. Congrats to Dr. Joe, Rebecca, and AJ, and all those brave members of the nation within.

Thanks for the Insider Reporting, Hounds. We managed to Stay Up until the 22nd Musher when the Live Feed went Out…which was just as well because we were Out too.

Welcome Spring. You can’t get here soon enough.
Nana’s Friend, who lives in Southeast NE, of all places, is having 80 degree weather. Obviously Some Other Reality.

Congrats, Snowhook and Dr Joe! In one short article someone on the blog linked to yesterday, I liked that they mentioned Dr Joe was running Savidis dogs! AJ deserves a lot of credit for keeping those dogs tip top!

The weatherperson on the new this morning said that our spring started in October with only one weekend of winter in the mix. Unfortunately, that was enough to freeze Mom’s favorite plants so she is busy repotting.

Rio, Mom doesn’t envy your friend packing for a move. Mom has spent every weekend but one this year helping her sister pack and move from her home of 30+ years to a new home closer to kids and grands. SO MUCH WORK!!

And a special thanks to HOH, the Snowhook trio and all others who kept the blog up to date with Iditarod news and standings. Mom didn’t get the Insider this year but will probably do so next year since she is convinced that AJ will be back on the runners again.

Ditto to what Spencer posted about the Snowhook Kennel denizens and their designated musher. Great job all around.

HOH: Thanks for keeping us informed of all things Iditarod!

We have bright sunshine after a week of new snow everyday. Happy Spring everyone! There is a google doodle today.

From what we were able to see there wome interesting stories from the trail. We were particularly impressed with mushers Jesse Royer and Nic Petit.

Mom got a new mattress set today, but the guy at “Sleep Experts ” didn’t mention that she would need a new frame. Therefore, new bed is sitting on the floor. AND, they won’t haul away a sleep number bed. Gah

As if that wasn’t enough aggravation, Belle got out and disappeared into the night. Mom drove around for a while and then saw her back in our yard Mom says this is a two Xanax evening.

    Goodnight everyone
