“Should we explain for any newcomers about Iditarod and Snowhook?” Spence says.
“You do it,” Admin says. “I have to change all the stupid clocks. Whoever puts us on daylight savings time permanently gets my vote.”
“Okay,” Spence says. “The Iditarod is the greatest sled dog race on the planet, held every March in Alaska. Chetthedog.com, the wonderful Plunderers associated with the blog – and anyone new who wants to get involved – are helping to sponsor the team from the Snowhook Kennel. The Snowhook people are just terrific, their dogs are superb, and their philosophy is humane and loving. Competing in the race and properly caring for the team cost money, and Snowhook does it in a way that gives back real value. Today, for example (exact time and link to be posted in the Comments section by a Plunderer, I hope), they are opening their Mushers Mercantile Christmas Store. Lots of great things to buy and all of them donated by the Plunderers. All proceeds will go directly to Snowhook Kennel to help cover the cost of running in the 2012 Iditarod. Plunder on!”
Admin calls from another room. “Let’s occupy the timekeeper’s office!”
“I’m sorry?” says Spence.
“Or whoever makes us change the time. What gives them the right? The time belongs to the people!”
Welcome Larry David VanDelay (an interesting-looking dude).
