How To Improve Your Credit Score!

“Read the Chet and Bernie books and do what Bernie does,” says Admin.

“Uh,” Spence says, “you didn’t get enough sleep?”

“Huh?”

“Not all ideas are good ideas.”

“Your point?”

Welcome Essie.

Barb checks her credit score every month with all 3 credit reporting companies. Does that surprise anyone? She will give Bernie free consultation if he wants.

Back to the cow vs car accident. Collision with an animal is covered under comprehensive, not collision. With the car being a 1997, did your dad still have that coverage, Wolfie?

Here I thought Admin was the smart one. I’m reconsidering.

BStover: I’m trying to savour TOV by reading small amounts at a time. Still, I’m already halfway through the story.

    Shingles!
Is that vaccine a yearly one?

  12. Barb & Maggie
    11:31 am on July 9th, 2014

I think you can get a free credit score once a year from each of the 3 companies. Barb subscribes to Identity Monitor, which costs her $12.00 per month but it allows her to check her credit every month, plus it alerts her if anything unusual is happening on her credit reports. She started this service after 2 of her credit cards were hacked 3 or 4 years ago. I guess it is costly, but it gives her some security.

Not going to get shingles vaccine, or any other vaccines. Barb did get the flu vaccine a couple of years ago, but didn’t this last winter. Basically she doe not like to put any chemicals into her body. So far this is working for her.

Hounds: We Here Never have the vaccinations anymore…the Side Effects aren’t worth it…and the last time Nana came down with the flu that the vaccine was Supposed to Prevent.

It’s a Wonderful Wednesday Here, but we’ll take the Royals Windfall any day!

Poor Rio! We haven’t read it either…something about the Download. Grrr.

Barb&Magpie: We subscribed to the credit monitoring service up until 2 months ago then dropped it due to the expense…$12.99 per month from BoA.
Our Fico Score is now available through one of the credit card companies for free and we check each individual account weekly.

Nana is still working on the photos…talk about SLOW!

I tend to lean towards the no-flu-shot camp. I am curious about the shingle shot, though. How effective is it? The flu shot is not a very effective vaccine, even when they pick the correct strain of flu to vaccinate against.

Back from a dip in the pool. I just got a call from the workforce commission about a possible temp job. Better than a poke with a sharp stick! Got mom’s pre-op scheduled, fire guys coming to test my smoke detectors. Maybe I can get them to help me move a table from the garage sale. Oh, and I found the missing “I” key. 24. Tupper and Gilly
    12:46 pm on July 9th, 2014

Well, we have to weigh in for vaccines. When Mama had the flu and was in the hospital this past winter, the docs told her that since she HAD the vaccine, she had a much milder case. THAT was a mild case? Oxygen masks and heart monitors and yarking blood? Sheesh – thank goodness that was just mild.

And she is getting the shingles vaccine the minute she is “old enough”.

I had shingles years ago and also watched my Mom and Dad go through their shingle attacks. When I heard that you can get them again (and Mom did have them twice), I opted to get the vaccine. I had the shot twice a few years apart and I am thinking that the second time I was told that it provided lifetime protection. The first time I was told 5 years. I don’t know if the difference in effectiveness was an age thing or if the vaccine had been improved. I also get flu and pneumonia shots after having had both w/o being vaccinated (and tetanus shot once every 10 years). My sister doesn’t get any shots and has not had flu of pneumonia. Everyone has to decide for themselves.

We think since mom is a spleenless wonder, that is why the docs recommend all the shots (or they are in cahoots with Rx companies). General opinion here is that since mom has had chicken pox 3 times, she really isn’t immune (hence no shingles, hence reaction ๐Ÿ™ )

    YARK!!!

I found that “review”. What a stupid way for that person to try and contact Amazon. I have news for them. It won’t work. It is totally unfair to OFA to give a one star review because Amazon charged them tax.

Everyone go to Amazon and click, “No” where it asks if this review was helpful to you.

I know more 5 star reviews will show up for TOV and that will help cancel out the stupid one star review.

    Hi Scout!

    Hi Spence!

I clicked “no” on Amazon for that one-star review.

This isn’t really a SPOILER ALERT but I really like the scene when Chet is licking the plate that had the bacon on it and Bernie looks at him: “I gave him a look back, kept licking at the same time.” (I can just picture Chet doing that.) I laughed out loud when Bernie is negotiating the fee and says eight hundred a day and she says six and Bernie says, “Doable.” Chet then says “six must be bigger than eight.”

A police dog in Anchorage was injured a few days ago in the line of duty chasing a perp that he caught and held on as he was stabbed three times. He underwent surgery and will be fine. He is scheduled to retire in a few months when he hits 8 years old. Anyway, the police department was explaining why they like Belgian Malinois over shepherds and made this comment, “These guys could care less about fear issues. they just want to go get the bad guy. Or the ball.” That cracked me up as it seems to describe Chet’s behavior in terms of being hyper focused in the same way of either going after the bad guy– or a ball that Bernie has thrown.

I’m saving TOV as a reward for having a productive, focused day (which isn’t happening today). We will see what tomorrow will bring.

We like that Amazon charges tax, because it makes it easier when tax filing time comes. Otherwise, we find it next to impossible to calculate our online spending for our state’s sales tax. Amazon collects the taxes for your state. They do not charge taxes in states that don’t have sales taxes.

I’M back! Yay. I feel a little better after my two naps. Right after I post I will go to bed. My warm soft bed with all the kats in the right places for my optimum comfort.

Rio, Too late. Mr.Fireslippers made me a hamburger, no bun, just some salt a pepper. He also found some cherries in the fridge and rinsed them off for me. So I had ground beef and cherries for supper. And a little Sprite. That was all I needed.

I did have lots of fun at the hospital place. I went for a walk around with a young man named Kevin who came from New York to North Dakota many years ago. He said it was culture shock. Most of his family still lives in Brooklyn/New Jersey/Connecticut. I will feel even better tomorrow fer-sure. Meanwhile I might just snuggle up with the double cuddle throw before I have to mail it off.
    Mighty Moodle everyone.

You may undoubtedly visit your competencies from the art you are writing. The world desires for more zealous copy writers just like you who seem to are not worried to cover the way they think. All of the time abide by the soul.
