Here’s Pudsey
“Here’s Pudsey, overnight star on British TV,” says Spence.
“I’m sure he’ll be crossing the pond sometime soon,” says Admin. “If you’ll forgive a Col. Blimpism.”
“Not even sure what that is.”

Greetings All!
Pudsey looks to be quite talented. His girl must be proud of him.
Rio: I would like dibs on the “Dream Project” and the bouquet. The bouquet would look very cheerful on my desk at work!
SiberH: Thanks for putting in a good word for me!
9:06 am on May 14th, 2012
That takes coordination.
Hi Rose!
Good morning all.
9:08 am on May 14th, 2012
Pudsey is adorable as well as talented. You can see many elements of agility training in his moves. The tunnel, balance beams, teeter-totter and weave poles. He can make millions if he gets into advertising. And it doesn’t hurt a thing that he is just so darn cute!
9:16 am on May 14th, 2012
We love Pudsey! Thanks for posting that, Admin. Both he and his girl are very impressive.
Good morning all.
9:32 am on May 14th, 2012
Good Morning B, B&M, and OH! OH, I forgot to mention that your picture on yesterday’s blog reminded me of the song “Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite.” for some odd reason.
9:32 am on May 14th, 2012
Good morning, y’all! I’m afraid my legs don’t quite work like that. Although I do have times when I go out to do my business and end up on just my front legs. Not quite sure how that happens. Maybe I should work up an act!
9:40 am on May 14th, 2012
Pudsey and Ashleigh are a Huge Hit. We are Very Impressed with their act and especially Love the Mission Impossible Theme.

Well, the plumber just left. I’m afraid it’s bad news for my treat budget! Yesterday morning Dad noticed a dripping noise coming from the water heater, so he turned it off. Mom and Dad were hoping it was just a bad pipe, because it stopped leaking when Dad shut off the water. But the plumbing guy says it’s the tank. Mom and Dad actually bought a new water heater already, but they were waiting until summer to do the switch, because the floor underneath the old one is bad, and needs to be replaced. So the plan was to wait until Dad gets out of school — next week! — and take the old water heater out one day, then work on the floor, and have the plumbing guys come back a day or two later to install the new one. So now Mom and Dad have to figure out a new timeline. Do they want to go without hot water until next week?
Dad went up to the attic and brought down the shower he used in Somalia — it’s a big black bag that you fill with water and leave in the sun to heat up, then there’s a tube on the end that you can open and close to let the water come out. You’re supposed to hang it in a tree, but Mom doesn’t especially want to take her shower outside! Dad figures he can just hold it up in the bathtub while Mom takes a shower, but water is heavy!
Mom’s starting to wish she were a kat, so then she could just lick herself clean. Ugh, hairballs!!!
10:12 am on May 14th, 2012
Kirby!…Ugh!…Gah!…Way to make me sick first thing in the morning…grunt!
Cowell! ….So thats where Simon Cowell has been!…heh!
10:20 am on May 14th, 2012
Kirby, I would be very unhappy without hot water for a week….
10:27 am on May 14th, 2012
Rose!…My friend says if you aren’t quick enough at the Spring Boutique and miss out on something you want, just send me a SDD and we can figure out something…snort!
10:28 am on May 14th, 2012
Dang, Pudsey is good. Maybe he can take over for me next time the ladies want to dance.
We like Simon Cowell, but why is he trying to unbutton his shirt down to his navel in that video.
Kirby, Mom has used those sun showers. It would be a good excuse to go to the woods and have a picnic and a shower.
10:33 am on May 14th, 2012
Kirby – Mama and Dad had one of those shower bags back when they used to camp at art shows. The first time it was used – they were doing a show in a park in new York city. Dad rigged up a shower stall of tarps and tied the bag to a tree. Mama just about died of embarrassment ( she’s rather modest) but she used the shower. Since it was about 100 degrees that weekend, everyone at the show wanted to use the shower. Dad could have gotten rich charging for it, but he just said that anyone who filled the bag could use it.
No entrepeneurial spirit in that guy…
10:38 am on May 14th, 2012
Well, let’s see, a gal. of water is 8 lbs. so 3 gals would be 24 lbs. Can she take a shower with 3 gal. of water? Or would that be more of a spritz? We figure more than 3 gals would be hard to hold. Taking her shower outside under a tree might be sort of interesting for the neighbors!
11:02 am on May 14th, 2012
Rio, okay, thank you. Can you refresh my memory (too many lightning bolts) as to when the Spring Boutique is open to big spenders?
11:02 am on May 14th, 2012
Could Kirby’s folks take a cold shower? Turn the heat up in the bathroom and shower quickly?
11:08 am on May 14th, 2012
The cold shower is what Mom would do. She could do without the hot water for a week.
11:25 am on May 14th, 2012
Opening!…I believe the Spring Boutique Grand Opening is scheduled for May 26th – Time to be determined by Rebecca and her remodeling team…snort!…We want the opening to be at an equal opportunity time so everyone has a fair chance to buy what they want as there will only be 1 or 2 of some items…grunt!
11:44 am on May 14th, 2012
Dad took a cold shower, but Mom decided to just do a sponge bath — boiled some water and put it in the sink with some cold water, then soaped up and rinsed off with a washcloth. Better than nothing. Now she’s off to work — perhaps she should spritz herself with some perfume, too? She stopped wearing it years ago when she had an allegic co-worker. I’m not sure she even has any that hasn’t turned to vinegar by now!
11:46 am on May 14th, 2012
Kirby: Another reason kats rule.
11:47 am on May 14th, 2012
Kirby: Your mom took a kat bath!
12:01 pm on May 14th, 2012
Rio, thanks for the infor. I will be marking the 26th with a big red X on my calendar!
12:04 pm on May 14th, 2012
Rose!…Check your SDD for even more info than you really need…heh!
12:28 pm on May 14th, 2012
Rio, cheked and responded!
1:05 pm on May 14th, 2012
Hey Kirby –
Something very strange is going on. Your folks aren’t the only ones with hot water problems. Friday night, we discovered there was no hot water. Mom had to boil water to add to the cold stuff in the dishpan. Then still no hot water Saturday and Sunday! (Mom decided to wait until Monday to have the hot water tank checked because she didn’t want to pay weekend rates.)
Surprise! We got hot water again Sunday evening. Isn’t that weird. I suspect Flower had something to do with it. Her litter box is in the utility room and I bet she fiddled with the gadgets on the tank. I wouldn’t put it past her.
1:43 pm on May 14th, 2012
Terri: Flower may be the culprit at your house, but what about Kirby? I sure hope this isn’t catching. We have a very old water heater. The thinking here is…why go to the expense of putting in a new one when the old one still works? Hmm…I don’t know about that.
1:50 pm on May 14th, 2012
Bear: That is always my philosophy.
2:51 pm on May 14th, 2012
KirbyT: Water is a cherished commodity at the kennel. Our well collapsed on itself a few years ago as a result of a earthquake. Several cold showers were taken if there was water at all. It was that or a scorching trickle of a shower. My coworkers tease that I think any hotel stay is a nice one as long as there is running water and hot showers on demand. 😉
Golinka: AJ says I’m wasting the best years of my body on modesty. My AJ, like your Storyteller would have hung tarps as well. And like your Storyteller would have been easy going about offer showers to others.
3:19 pm on May 14th, 2012
Water!…. heh!…The other day Beau lifted his leg on some patio furniture and as luck would have it her mother had a running hose in hand…snort!… She let him have it! Boy was he mad. He glared at her for the longest time and then when she tried to dry him off with a towel he came unglued….chorkel!… I haven’t seen him that mad since I stole his favorite chewie…heh!heh!
3:28 pm on May 14th, 2012
Poor Beau. We don’t know what might have happened to him before his wonderful new home. Do you think it was the water or the towel drying?
3:28 pm on May 14th, 2012
Rio, was any biting involved?
3:39 pm on May 14th, 2012
Mad!…It was definitely the cold water that pissed him off…heh!heh!…The towel just added insult to injury..chorkel!…He did not bite he just growled viciously and wouldn’t let her dry him off.
3:44 pm on May 14th, 2012
Supper!…My friend is going to make a pasta dish tonight but I just over-heard her mother calling her and telling her she “could not find the dry cottage cheese at the store.”…..grunt!…Now someone will have to stop at the grocery store on her way home from the busy-place….wheeze!…This was the one thing she was trying to avoid doing all weekend…wuffle!
3:53 pm on May 14th, 2012
Rio: I had to hose AJ off a— a plus about living on 20 secluded acres—a few years back when he came home cover head to toe in mud after getting the four wheeler stuck. If memory serves he bared his teeth but also made high pitched noises. I don’t recall him coming unglued at any point, but I may have blocked it out.
When does Melanie get home I wonder.
3:57 pm on May 14th, 2012
Hose!…I bet hosing off a Giant takes a lot more water than soaking a mad black pug…heh!
4:08 pm on May 14th, 2012
Twice the water, half the fright.
4:08 pm on May 14th, 2012
Rio, I’m glad Beau did not bite….I’m sure that would not have scored points with your friend’s mother.
4:09 pm on May 14th, 2012
Rebecca, I’m glad AJ didn’t bite either! 🙂
4:19 pm on May 14th, 2012
WOW, WOW,WOW,WOW,WOW,WOW!
Was that a great time or what?
Time for a nap. See you in the morning. TTFN
4:20 pm on May 14th, 2012
Rose: I’m not scared of AJ, plus he had all his shots. 😉
4:27 pm on May 14th, 2012
Rio: Has that ever happened to you?
Melanie: You’re back!!! (and now off for much deserved nap)
Tupper&Gilly: We saw beautiful Melanie and her handsome sons and a photo of your handsome dad dancing with the beautiful bride, but what I want to know is…where is a picture of the Royal Mum?
4:42 pm on May 14th, 2012
Soaked!…Bear, over the years I’ve learned to disappear when the water is on and the hose is in someone’s paws…snort!…Beau hasn’t quite learned this lesson yet. It might take all summer before he starts putting hose + water = soaked together…sniff!…This last time he might not have gotten drenched if he hadn’t been trying to soak some furniture with his own personal hose….chorkel!
4:49 pm on May 14th, 2012
Wait! What happened to my last 2 comments?!!!
4:59 pm on May 14th, 2012
Bella: I think I know what happened. The link we were trying to post was from Dogster, a link which for some reason the blog moderator does not approve. It was about Neem oil which can be used to repel mosquitoes for two-leggeds and four.
Has anyone heard of it?
5:04 pm on May 14th, 2012
We have a question which we have been hesitant to ask for fear of a certain evil pug’s ire. Why are we doing only a regular MMS and not an auction?seems to us thatan auction can generate more money and is more suitable for those one-of-a-kinf items. Will there be an auction later?
5:14 pm on May 14th, 2012
O.Howlers: I could hazard a guess. The auction involves a lot of work for said mentioned pug and pal Wookie. They may want to enjoy the upcoming holiday.
5:18 pm on May 14th, 2012
Auctions!…Oley is correct. An auction can generate a lot more money….sniff!…Alas, the professional auctioneer volunteers of Auction Central are unavailable during the Memorial Day Weekend when the Spring Boutique opens…snort!… Auctions are hard work for the ones who monitor it. Someone has to be on call all day long to keep the bids updated as we do not have sophisicated auction software like Ebay does. Although just having a new computer will help Loads!….heh!…Also, we do not have enough auction items lined up at this time anyways…sniff!…There have been rumors of some mighty fine things, but no one has committed definitely….wheeze!
Worthy!…This might be the perfect time to announce if you believe you have an item you want to donate that is worthy of Auction status, please email myself or Rebecca with the details….snort!
5:43 pm on May 14th, 2012
Hi, bye, Melanie. Glad you are back and can’t wait to hear some stories tomorrow.
5:49 pm on May 14th, 2012
BearSpiritDog – Mama is taking a page from your enigmatic book. She is NEVER in front of a camera. Just imagine a green eyed, brown haired beauty…..covered in clay. Your imagination can fill in the rest of the picture.
Rio – we are still thinking of the boutique. More info to come.
6:01 pm on May 14th, 2012
Siber: I have a question. The Iditarod Insider has announced the 2012 DVD is available for pre-order. Is this something you would recommend? Not to put you on the spot, but is this something you might order?
T&G: Bear understands purrfectly, as do I.
6:13 pm on May 14th, 2012
Auction Central becomes what seems like a full time job. Boy, am I grateful that a certain pug and go-to guy Wookie volunteered as AC. It is not a job for the feint of heart. If I recall correctly a laptop almost self distructed in the opening moments of the big auction and a pug had to be recesitated. I have items from the trail that we could put up for auction like the Nome drop bag, a autograph photo of the team coming up Front Street, drop bags from other check points, etc of anyone would be interested.
Masquers: I will give my two cents to your question. We buy the DVD each year as it is the closest thing to game film. We’ve been surprised the past couple of years to see AJ and other team members on screen.
6:15 pm on May 14th, 2012
Rio, what would make an item worthy of auction status? To us it would be something that may not have a high face value but is unique or may be worth more to plundering types than the average man on the street.
We think our mom could help with whatever that weekend
6:20 pm on May 14th, 2012
Masquers, I have several of the Insider Iditarod dvds and I think they are worth it. I will order the new one. Those dvds have won television Emmys but you never hear of this because they don’t present those awards during the tv broadcast. I hope the Insider keeps to these high standards.
(whispering) The Royals’ Mum is pretty.
6:29 pm on May 14th, 2012
Bella: Thank you for your input re the Insider DVD. Anytime we can get an extra glimpse of AJ and the team is one well worth paying for.
6:35 pm on May 14th, 2012
Siber: That’s right…you do have first hand knowledge…having met the Royal Mum and the Storyteller in person last year.
Bella & Siber: Thank you both. We will be putting in our order based on your recommendations.
7:13 pm on May 14th, 2012
Siber-H – (Here we go again.) Do you have a picture of the Royals’ Mum that you could send me?
7:15 pm on May 14th, 2012
Whew, woke up and going back to bed. What a great time all of us had at the party! It was so good to see you guys there.
This photo was by the professional photographer who was there. The one who said he’d step in when that other dude turned out to be a scam artist.
I think the change was WELL worth it. I’ll see you guys tomorrow!
7:50 pm on May 14th, 2012
Mollypop’s Mom, When I finish laughing I will answer your question.
No, I do not have a picture of the Royal’s Mum. Remember, I saw her in person last year. That is how I know she is pretty, and I’ll never forget the Royal Doggy Bag.
That is the woods in the photo that Natasha and I hiked through.
She needs to stay in good shape for next year’s Iditarod.
8:21 pm on May 14th, 2012
Mollypop’s mom, don’t tell anyone else, but you can google the royal’s mom and see her that way, but you did not hear it from me.
8:38 pm on May 14th, 2012
Melanie, that is a gorgeous picture. Glad you went with this guy instead of the scam artist. Just beautiful!
8:46 pm on May 14th, 2012
Siber-H: You did get a photo of her s*h*o*e*s.
8:51 pm on May 14th, 2012
Melanie: Is that the same photographer that was unavailable the first time around and then had a cancellation at the last minute?
Hope Patsy doesn’t stay mad at you for long.
9:00 pm on May 14th, 2012
Aww – Siber…you are making Mama blush.
And Macy – Mama said some naughty words – do you have any idea what that was all about?
The photographer at the wedding was really great – the pose for the total wedding party was nothing short of genius. It will be a classic photo that all brides will try to emmulate.
9:00 pm on May 14th, 2012
Bear? I’m laughing again, but, no, I did not get a photograph of her s*h*o*e*s.
Where did you get that idea and why would I want a picture of the Royal Mum’s s*h*o*e*s?
9:10 pm on May 14th, 2012
Walking!…Someone here says we have to go on our respective walks before the game starts at 8:00…grunt!wheeze!…Beau is going first because he meanders and its a good warm-up walk for her and I…groan!
Melanie!…She is alive and almost kicking…heh!heh!…Maybe tomorrow. I wonder what Patsy did when Melanie finally came home…heh!
9:27 pm on May 14th, 2012
Have a nice walk, Rio.
Barb did a lot of gardening work today so she is ready to go stretch out on the sofa. See y’all tomorrow.
9:53 pm on May 14th, 2012
Siber-H: I distinctly remember you had your little camera, but were unable to capture a head shot…the only thing that ended up in the picture was her footwear. A couple pictures of you showed up on this here blog and that was it.
9:58 pm on May 14th, 2012
Royals mum…I have suspended Macy’s computer privileges for the rest of the evening. So sorry. Bad dog Macy, bad dog.
10:12 pm on May 14th, 2012
Oh, Macy…what have you done?
10:14 pm on May 14th, 2012
Bear, That was the Royal Mum’s camera…either she and/or Melanie has those photos.
Neither Amalia or my mom wanted their picture taken. I think they have a phobia.
10:18 pm on May 14th, 2012
So what we do know is that someone from the SiberH-Golinka meeting of 2011 is that someone, we don’t know who, was feet. We are narrowing down the list o suspects.
10:18 pm on May 14th, 2012
Play!…Ball!….Wooooo!…SiberH are you watching this with me tonight?…wheeze!snort!…gasp!
10:27 pm on May 14th, 2012
Rio, For a short while I am…until I fall asleep. You are usually not far behind me in the falling asleep department.
10:31 pm on May 14th, 2012
Late!…These late starting games are hard to stay up for especially after our brutal walk…grunt!…But it is The Giants tonight…heh!…Did I hear Buster Poseys name? Is he playing tonight?…chuffle!…Its been a long road back for that young guy….wheeze!
10:33 pm on May 14th, 2012
I keep forget to say how beautiful the picture of the bride and groom is.
10:35 pm on May 14th, 2012
Wow!…Get a load of that bad grammar….heh!heh!
10:43 pm on May 14th, 2012
Posey is back and I hope he can continue to be a regular in the lineup.
10:46 pm on May 14th, 2012
Charlie!…So when is our young guy gonna come back into the line-up?…snort!…Charlie Blackman? Is that his name? He was on fire last season when everyone else was limping along and then he broke his ankle or something…grunt!…I miss that guy!…wuffle!
10:47 pm on May 14th, 2012
The pie on the menu looks good tonight: curly tail cream pie.
10:50 pm on May 14th, 2012
Ghost-blog!…No ones around to complain about the baseball chatter tonight Rebecca…heh!…I doubt the jail will be my bedroom, although that pie does sound good, and a tad familiar…chuffle!
10:57 pm on May 14th, 2012
Rio – is ok – ve vill not let Empress Bee know you talk of forbidden base of balls. Vould be shame to keep you in jail vhen you need Brutal Valk.
10:58 pm on May 14th, 2012
Fan!…SiberH, did your entry every win the Best Rockies Fan in New Mexico contest?…snort!…If you did win, you neglected to tell me…grunt!…If you were here, did you have a good time??…huffle!puffle!
10:59 pm on May 14th, 2012
Rio: I will save you a piece and some whipped cream on the off chance you end up on the inside tonight. Sometimes, depending on the menu, the risk of bad grammar and talk about baseball seems worth it.
11:00 pm on May 14th, 2012
Natasha!…Where did you come from?…heh!…Out of the Blue??
11:02 pm on May 14th, 2012
Jail!…If they throw me in the hootch tonight, you will not be far behind me and my tail Rebecca…snort!…What with that bad grammar an all…sniff!heh! …The game is still tied.
11:08 pm on May 14th, 2012
Rio, I was just thinking about that today and, no, I didn’t win. sniff
I remember Charlie Blackman. Is he still with the Rockies? There have been so many coming and going that it is hard to keep track. Our catcher from the last two years or so is with the Angels. I was very fond of him.
11:08 pm on May 14th, 2012
Loaded!…Bases are loaded and The ToddFather is up to bat!…Wooooo!….Oh, my gosh! They walked Helton and now Cuddyer is up to bat!…WOOOOOOOOO!…STAFF! Watch this!…heh!
11:08 pm on May 14th, 2012
Beautiful picture, Melanie. Can’t wait to see more!
11:09 pm on May 14th, 2012
Rio: I would like to blame the Ipaw for he infraction, rather it was the result of typing, walking and locking the office door. It has happened before and it will happen again. I already let myself into the cell with the key I had made; I put another on the key ring at pug height. Oh, before I forget, the nail polish remover and cotton balls are under the pillow.
11:10 pm on May 14th, 2012
Nevermind!…grump!
11:14 pm on May 14th, 2012
Rebecca!…As you well know, the IPaw is a worn-out excuse by any means on this here blog…grunt!…But now we have locking the door, walking and chewing gum as another excuse for not Editing your comments?…huffle!
Tied!…After all that the game is still tied at ZERO…sniff!…The good news is our new young pitcher is looking very good…woooooo!
11:16 pm on May 14th, 2012
Rebecca, Rio’s grump was at the baseball game. Grump is right.
11:22 pm on May 14th, 2012
Game!…Yes, the grump was because the Rockies left the bases loaded ….grumble!…Nothing makes me grumpier…sniff!
11:23 pm on May 14th, 2012
Rio – vhat do you mean Natasha is out of Blue? Natasha is out of Russia! Ve must be loosing accent if Pug can no longer tell.
11:27 pm on May 14th, 2012
Grandpa!…For some reason today I was thinking about Ingrid’s Grandpa…sniffle!…To me that is an unfinished story. I would really love!love!love! to know more about Grandpa and and his story past, present and future…wuffle!…It was bugging me today for some reason. I hope The Charming Mr. Abrahams feels the same way. Although he may think enough is enough…(((sigh)))
11:30 pm on May 14th, 2012
Natasha!…Out of the Blue means you appeared from apparently No Where…heh!…Second nature for a Russian Spy, right?..sniff!…Although, Rockie the Undercover Squirrel has you beat because he appears Out of the Woodwork….heh!heh!
11:31 pm on May 14th, 2012
By the vay Siber – vas lovely valk in voods. Ve must do that again soon.
11:32 pm on May 14th, 2012
Rio – silly sqvirrel has NOTHING over Natasha. Silly sqvirrel does not even know how to vear HAT!
11:34 pm on May 14th, 2012
Um Siber – you DID notice that Natasha caught bouquet at vedding, yes? Vas very spectacular leap in spike heels!
11:38 pm on May 14th, 2012
Hats!…I have to admit Rocky does not often wear a hat…sniff!…Although, he has been caught wearing suspenders and chewing tobacco….chuffle!
11:46 pm on May 14th, 2012
Rio – have you noticed ve have never seen Rocky and Redbone in the same room at same time? hmmmmm………..
11:48 pm on May 14th, 2012
Nope, I didn’t see you catch the wedding bouquet, Natasha.
Will not seeing it save me?
Natasha is better looking than Rocky and even if she is a Russian, she doesn’t drink nearly as much as Rocky.
We are turning in. The Rockies lead by one run.
night everyone
11:54 pm on May 14th, 2012
Uh-Oh!…Rockie caught wind of Natasha dissing his taste in hats…heh!heh!

SiberH: Tenzing operates under the theory that as long as his head is under the bed that the lightening can’t hurt him, but I don’t think the same principles apply with a certain spy and catching a bouquet.
12:01 am on May 15th, 2012
Fun!…snort!…Well this was getting fun but my friend says we need to go upstairs and join Beau. He is already sawing logs in his cold hard bed…sniff!…We want to stay up and see what Rockie has up his sleeve, but someone is too tired and it is only Monday night…grunt!grumble!…goodnight all!
12:07 am on May 15th, 2012
Note!… I just realized that Rockie got his spy-notes mixed up and confused Stinky Mama with Natasha..grunt!…He was talking about Natasha, not Golinka(Stinky Mama)…grumpp!…He must be partying with his hillbilly friends again tonight….snort!
