Top of the morning to everyone. 6 more mushers into Nome for a total of 47 so far. Shawnee Trask is out of Safety and heading for Nome. The last 4 teams Mapes, Radano, Kaltenborn and Stewart are out of White Mountain. The race is winding down. 15 have scratched or withdrawn. Lots of bad weather for the teams.
Enjoy your St. Paddy’s Day all.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day. The Google Doodle today is really interesting. The “L” in Google includes letters in Ogham–the Old Irish alphabet.

    Good morning all.

Don’t forget the corned beef and cabbage and the little potatoes! Delish.

HRH,B: Interesting about the letters in the GOOGLE Dooodle. Here it is:

Getting the point on my head sharpened today.

Remember when OFA’s dog Pearl rolled in fresh cut grass and turned green?

Happy day everyone. I am taking an adult foster to an adoption clinic today.
I still have one pregnant cat. On a sad note, one of my wee ones declined on day 3 and travelled over the Rainbow Bridge. I called and received help but ultimately we realized that he was going to pass. He was surrounded by the warmth of his siblings and mama. I held him for a long time in the palm of my hand afterwards…a beautiful kitten at peace.

I forgot to say that the letters in the “L” of today’s Google Doodle spell out “google” in Ogham. (You read from bottom to top.)

Sorry about the loss of the kitten Hobbitz.

Hobbit: We welcomed that wee bitty kitty on This Side of the Bridge. He is Restored to Prime and will grow in this realm. We believe he is the one Belle Starr named Is. Is is fitting in fine. He has spent the morning napping with Wyatt who called dibs on teaching Is everything he needs to know about being a dog. Thank you for caring for him. We will take it from here.

Creator: Please less and keep the kitten’s spirit. Please comfort those who are grieving his loss whether they be animal or human. Please bless he will know he was thought of in his passing. Thank you for Carol and the care she gives animals. Comfort her, bless her. Amen.

The last three mushers are out of Safety and headed to Nome and positions have changed, Jason Stewart, Anja Radano, Mangus Kaltenborn.
Hobbitz’ kitten is in our thoughts.

Stewart, Radano and Kaltenborn are all into Nome (in that order). All teams are off the trail. What a race! Kaltenborn gets the Red Lantern.

Thank you everyone. It is surprising how sad I get. When one of my kitties miscarried at 4 weeks, I was heartbroken. When I had to help a very senior foster across the Bridge who I barely knew, I cried and cried. But being in rescue is still worth it.
Today is St. Gertrude’s birthday. She is the patron saint of cats. St. Patrick gets all the glory

Yeep! The wearing of the green…and I forgot to put on my green collar!
Is it too late to dye my fur?

Rio: I think it’s a safe bet that not only have you not been pinched, you haven’t been this side of sober for much of the day. Vats o’ beer have been known to have that effect.
