Happy Patriots’ Day

“Or Patriot’s Day in Maine,” Admin says. “A fine distinction.”

“Lexington Green,” Spence says. “The Old North Bridge. Do kids still take all that in history?”

“No idea. We’ll find out when little V. starts going to school. Should I run the Marathon this year?”

“No.”

“Twisted my arm.”

Welcome George and Astro from a land downunder. That beach looks great!

    Good Morning B!

Patriot’s Day is a NE kind of thing. I believe they celebrate it in Boston, and that is also they day of their Marathon.

Welcome to George and Astro (Jetson’s fans perhaps?) from the land down under.

Yup on both accounts there Rose!

I was fortunately enough to be invited to a party on the roof of one of the buildings at the finish of race. Could see everything! Very nice time.

Today, back to the doc to have BP taken and deliver some tests. Then on to LUNCH with a certain Royals’ Mum.

YSAS is taking the day off. I have been told that if I call him before he calls me, he will reach through the phone and pour stage blood on me.

Good morning all. Missed youse guys yesterday. Didn’t get back till late, so have to go back and read the blog to see what we missed.

Melanie, have a good, relaxing lunch. It would be fun to join you!

Blustery, rainy day here. Good day to lay low and recover from the trip yesterday.

Poor Rio has cold and blustery weather while we may hit 80 degrees. We also have a high wind warning. The wind may keep people inside and not able o enjoy the warmth. Then for tomorrow, MagPie is sending us her cold rainy day.

Just wanted to thank youse guys for your get well wishes.

Last night, the Prof opened the door and Luna, Belle Starr, and my dear Masquers were there. After the Prof tucked me in, Belle Starr sat on my head, Masquers lay beside me, and his gentle purring, and soft paw message left me quite peaceful and calm. Luna (what a mom!) keep her eye on me the whole night, and eventually talked Belle Starr off of my head. I guess I was in a very deep sleep, because when I woke up, there was a quilled red rose by my side, and maybe I dreamed it, but I felt a pug kiss, sometime during the night. The Prof said a brown pug in a black bow tie came to the door late, and the Prof led him to the bedroom. I thought I felt a pug-sized body snuggle against me….

geez louise – our eyes are finally uncrossed after that unfortunate episode with the Redbone punch and boot rear combo.

It was awful – even the dang mice were laughing at us. And when Gilly started barking at the fuzzbutts, we thought we were gonna die! Sage splorted up every single thing he has eaten in the past 6 months, and I couldn’t even think about catnip without getting queasy.

Now Mama is talking about getting Chinese food with Melanie, and we are just rolling our eyes and holding our tummies. Man, were we ever this sick?

So – when’s the next party?

Hi, Rose: WeatherKat reports an extreme change in temperature from here to there and no need of that big fur coat. Apparently, Belle Starr gave our guy a couple of strange looks at first, but now he is accepted as just another one of the pack. Having a wonderful time visiting you. Rio, tell your friend to have fun tonight. Also glad you are enjoying the Andy C. books. We have to order #7, New Tricks, from the library. Still reading Heart of a Killer. It is good, but I think we like the Carpenter series better.

B&M, be careful in that wind. We hate wind!

Rio, your friend is going to the Rockies game and she gets to sit in the Special Box…how cool is that?

    Hi gang!
I’ve been offline because I’ve been busy having fun with a puppy all weekend. He’s back home but I must say he is a wonderful 4 month old who will be a super addition to the family that discovers him. He’s for sale by somebody who lives in my area. After having high-energy Lab (Chimo) and Terv (Terri), I was amazed at how relatively “lazy” and quiet a different breed can be.

As usual, Terri was snarky and told him in no uncertain terms not to bother her.

I am having a wonderful time with my guest as well. I love having them all here. I believe the Prof has taken the gang to the beach today, where the Prof can rest under a shady tree with Masquers, and Belle Starr and Luna can play in the surf.

Weather … Weird … Sounds like we have quite a weather whatever coming our way. Right now we are in Red Flag Warning until 8 pm tonight. Our woods haven’t had a fire in YEARS. Sort of scary.

Zoe and I BOTH left today!!! She went one way down the hills and I went the other. She got to do fun things she wanted to do and I did too! Hallelujah !! What fun!
The Royals’ Mum and I solved the world’s problems. Zoe went to a used furniture store, bargained and bought two sofas!

Now, Rose. Sounds like your Smoochers have everything under control.

Riö, The PARTY CONTINUES! Woo Hoo!

Siber-H, we used to have Evacuation Day and Massacre Day also, but they took those away as holidays.

Terri, of course, you didn’t have any time. Not with a puppy around.

Everyone else? HIIII!!! I had tea with caffeine in it!!!!

B: What a fabulous sounding lunch…high tea for the East Coast folks. When Nana visited Victoria on Vancouver Island many years ago she had high tea at the old hotel there.

MPM, The framed picture we have from you was done in Bermuda, so we thought you had been there. About 20 yrs. ago Barb won a production trip from her ins. company. She could take another adult as long as it was not a boyfriend (her company board members were prudes), so she took Kelly. The trip was to Bermuda for a week and the accomodations were first class. That was one of her favorite places ever.

Macy, we just ordered New Tricks from the library. Our library does not have the Carpenter books but we order them on inter-library loan. They put the request out there, and the book can come from any library in the state. Do you have something like that available in Texas?

Wind is so bad it blew the sliding barn door off the hinges, so we had to have the young muscle man from next door come over to put it back on the track. No other wind damage so far, just lots of freakin branches! We will get him some beer for his efforts.

We think they should stop baseball games for high tea. Can you imagine?

We have Rio’s cold blustery weather here. I even saw a few flakes of snow. Carpola!

I think any sport could be improved upon by stopping in the middle for high tea.

I’ve had “one of those days” starting with a flat tire (on my bicycle).

Mom thinks she would be more at home at the mountain top Sonic than a fancy hotel.

Dad is out campaigning for the local elections, something he could never do, due to working for the city. Our front yard looks like a sign farm now. No neighbors have to guess who Dad supports, all the way to the state senate.

Annie and Belle went to the v-e-t today and each lost a pound. Dad said the scale must be broken. Biddie went last week and lost 3 pounds. I went back in February before the scale broke.

Visitors cannot have cars so visitors ride on motor scooters. It was hard to stay on the left side and Molly’s Mom had an accident with lots of bruises.

Poor MollyPop’s Mom. We went to England for two weeks and I did a lot of the driving. When I got back home I did a lot of “Which Lane I’m I Supposed To Be IN?” moments.

    Going up. TTFN

Nope, I checked my email and someone had sent me the following ad.
Somehow it reminds me of my home.

    Really TTFN

The first time I drove in England was in London. Whew! Since one is on the “wrong” side of the car, it was easy to remember to stay on the wrong side of the road.

Siber – Mama wants to know – if everywhere else they ask if you want green or black tea- in NM do they ask if you want green or red?

Don’t mind her – she’s just mad cuz Melanie and Bee didn’t invite us all for high tea. tee hee.

Macy – what a great video. Thank dog Mama has never tried that with us at the beach. We might have to get very fierce (poufy) about THAT idea!

Gee, T&G I don’t know because I don’t drink tea but I sure know how to answer the red or green question.
I’m sure your mom is invted to come along with Stover and Melanie.
You know, Mom and I actually like Gallup better than Santa Fe…Gallup is more real and honest and love those red rocks outside of Gallup.

SiberH, i think my Mom and Molly’s Mom would like to go too. No golf game is necessary.

Cool!! All of you are invited!!! There is a beautiful golf course just north of where I live that is owned and run by one of the Pueblo tribes. They also have a fancy hotel there but best of all…they are Pet Friendly! I have gone to some of the parties they have for dogs.

ugh This baseball game isn’t going so well, so far.

Sam, When Barb and Kelly went to Bermuda they rented a scooter and went out to a very, very old cemetary. It was really cool. In the downtown area they had some of those circle intersections. What are they called? Roundouts or roundabouts? Any way they were really confusing. I think the place where they stayed was called the Princess Resort. Does that sound right?

Roundabouts. The first time I drove on one in England, I didn’t think I’d ever get off.

Stover, Have you seen the movie, “National Lampoon’s European Vacation?” (you probably haven’t). They get on a roundabout and can’t get off. It is so funny.

They finally get off. It is a pretty stupid movie, but funny.

I think four-corner stops make more sense than round abouts.

    Good night all.

    We here love roundabouts.

I am not sure about high tea. I am rather shortish.

Our library does have interlibrary loan, but it is $2 a book and mom is c-h-e-a-p. There is another town about 2 miles from here, will check that one.

Today is the last day of the Tax Season. I will be glad when it is over. Too many people are waiting till the last this year. (Including poor Admin.)

    AND WHO STOLE OUR AVATAR???

Siber – we used to love Santa Fe – when Woolworths was still on the plaza, and everyone there wasn’t so bloody impressed with themselves.
We like Gallup too. Especially Virgie’s Mexican restaurant.

No Melanie: I am doing US taxes. The IRS wants to know how much money I have in Canada. Not much is the answer. Hands off!

Stover: I see we both had the same idea about sports being improved by high tea. I was reading every other word, so I missed your post until I went back and re-read.

Snowhook Bella: You sent the picture to the right place and your timing could not be any better. Thank you.

Melanie: That ad was hilarious, as was your likening the ad to your house. I laughed out loud, but I can relate.

Good Night Everyone, except Liz and the other Down Unders…G’day to you.

Top of the ninth inning. The Rockies are behind by 5 runs. I am only reporting this because Rio’s friend is there. Usually when the Rockies are losing, Rio and I don’t say much.
I might as well go to sleep.

    Night All
