    Greetings!

    Happy New Year!

Wow, that was some party last night! Hope there are not too many of youse on Beau’s naughty list.

Congratulations to Bandit, who appears to be making short work of some fried chicken!

Good morning Wose and everyone! Welcome to Bandit who looks like he is demonstrating his skill. Will Chetspeak happen tomorrow? Hope so.
Enjoy your extra day of holiday(if you have one).
Great party last night ????. We have our paws crossed for a heavenly 2017.

snort…yawn… wha? Where am I? Oh my Dog is that Dawson over there slaving over a hot iron? I must still be at Faye’s. Wow that was a great party. but… but…

Wow! You can’t tell that anything happened here at all. The YUGE vat 0 beer is gone and there is no tell tale ring where it was stationed. I wonder how she cleaned that carpet so quickly. I hope she had some help. It certainly wan’t me. Yawn.

Maybe if I sneak out quietly she won’t make me help. I am no good at ironing…

Good Morning everyone. I wondered where Abbie the Kitty had gone. She is rarely out overnight. She better get back here soon. Alice has been a very good kitty. She was home all night. Such a well behaved kat.

Off to feed the birds. And bunnies. And squirrels. And deer. I only plan on the birds.

    Congratulations Bandit!

    Hey!
Wasn’t Bandit at the party last night? That plate of meat and that tongue look familiar, heh!

I woke up from my flannel cuddle dreams to reality staring me in the face. My brain was spinning so I decided, since sleep was beyond me, I might as well pitch in and help clean up. The Thieves had already washed all the material making use of the, by then, empty beer vat as a washing tub and hung it to dry before they left so I ironed. I haven’t ironed since my retirement and it was not unpleasant to zone out while wielding a hot iron. Abigail and Staff woke up and did the folding and putting away of the material. A mopping of the floor and all was tip-top again. Alice showed up with the sober chauffeur ride home and naps all around are soon to be taken.

Good morning and Happy New Year. Has anyone seen my Kat? She never came home from the pawty, and her other momma has no voice to call for her. Zeus, being the gentleman that he is, came home at a respectable hour, after dropping off his date and her kid sister. But that miscreant Kat is a no-show this morning. She never could handle her beer. I am sure she is passed out under some quilts in Staffie’s quilting happy place.

Zeus, happy New Year and thank you for being such a gentleman and for keeping an eye on the little sister. By the next pawty she won’t need to be watched as closely.
A great New Year to our favorite husky guy!

Good morning and Happy New Year to one and all!

Those chicken bones are entirely too close to Bandit’s mouth. Not good for doggies!

Thank you for the new calendar page, TYB. And right on time!

Josh and Jess stopped by just before the ball dropped in NYC last night, so we counted down together. Jess requested black eyed peas for today, so they are now cooking with a little chunk of ham, a must for good luck for 2017.

Cold, but sunny and quiet outside. Grass is still very green here, weird for January.

Mom made Hoppin’ John last night…beans, allspice and cayenne. She made rice for underneath and diced tomatoes with parsley as a topping. We also had mixed greens. So that should take care of good luck and prosperity for 2017. Tinker and
Darah Thea are still napping. What tired them out so much?

What a party! We got the vat o’ beer out of the quilt shop first thing along with the very large coaster. Rio and Beau were on there way home in the jet, but not before Belle Starr bedazzled Beau. Was ‘the bedazzled shall inherit the ribbons!’ snorted? Youse tell us.

Beau: Check the backyard. We blurred by a pallet of pens for making out your nice and naughty list. Just remember who got you all those non-bedazzled pens when your putting our names in the nice column. Our Lady would like to remind you to remember it was her that cut the crusts off your ham samiches when your considering under which column to write her name.

Meash: No need to worry about Kat. Our Lady kept and eye on her and Jr. Luckily, Beau had his bible with him. Our Lady told Jr. to show Kat a good time, but to keep the Bible between he and his date at all times. They were chaperoned by Matthew, Mark, Luke and John the entire evening.

More to Meash: Sorry about the avatar. We washed it along with the bolts of fabric and hung it out to dry. We used startch. Please let Dawson know if you want it ironed or not.

Howlers, I also like the sauerkraut with caraway! Adds a little extra flavor. Our black-eyed peas are done. Relaxing and waiting for Kelly and Chad to show up with the new t v.

I had the opportunity to meet Faye today. She proved to be patient, understanding and willing to take a personal check for any batting that was damaged in the making of 2017. She says damaged, I say dolled up with Ole Doc fur. I should be charging her if you ask me, but I decided not to press the issue.

Hello Everyone–I agree with BMLS–my first thought was that someone should have kept those bones away from handsome Bandit.
It sounds like the, uh, quilting bee was quite stimulating. I’m glad everyone made it home OK and (especially) cleaned up.
Perhaps this is a good omen for the year to come…

I am enjoying my new 50″ flat screen t v. SIL also switched my Netflix over from mailed dvds to streaming. My granddaughter, Lily, did not believe I had dvds mailed to me. She couldn’t believe such a thing existed. So funny!

I just finished watching two episodes of The Crown and I loved it. Great show!

We are finally back from Snowy Eastern WA. where a good time was had by all. Photos to follow!
Sorry to have missed the great New Year’s Eve Bash but Nana picked up a Bug and has been Under the Quilt these last 3 days.
Hopefully she will be feeling better by tomorrow. Cause there are a lot of Holiday Decorations to be put away and we don’t have the necessary Opposable Thumbs. Heh.
Happy New Year Everyone! Paws crossed for a Very Good Year!

Rio: How do you know it wasn’t us who taught Bandit a thing or two? We’ve been hanging our shingle out for a while to offer mentorship in such things. We can’t decide if Captains of Industry should go after Resident Thieves but before Loveable Miscreants on our business cards.

Nana: Get thee to the Quilt!

Beau: Did you notice our use of ‘thee’ in our message to Nana? It’s practically scripture.

Thanks to Ole Doc and Bjourn for a lovely evening. Sorry we didn’t stay to clean up but we had a plane to catch. We hope all the party goers have begun to recover. Mom had to work today, so she is dawg tired. Happy new year and I hope it will be a great one even though we didn’t get ant peas.
