Good Morning!!!
9:25 am on July 16th, 2014
Again, yard mowed before 8. The cold front helped, but I did all the pushing. Now off to the pool, which hopefully won’t be too cool. Later, taters.
9:36 am on July 16th, 2014
Hey, there Miss Macy and ML!
Greetings!
Hopefully, the tropic of Westchester will cool down today.
RIO! I was sob, sob, sobbing last night when Derek came out of the game. All the fans and players hugging him, and tipping the hats to him. sob! His last All-Star Game. His parents and sister out in the stands…..sob.
Next year, he will play in his first Old-Timer’s day at the stadium. I could’ve stay up much past 10…. my nice cool bed was waiting for me.
That Hank is just adorable!!!
Where are the Thieves, Mama Luna, and Belle Starr?
9:42 am on July 16th, 2014
Good morning, everyone! (This includes ML and Wose) That Hank, what a sweet guy. So glad his furever home includes baseballs. Mom got goosebumps outside this morning. WE saw no geese 🙁
West coast is having summer, icy air thru the middle, stormy east…have a wild weather Wednesday.
10:13 am on July 16th, 2014
Good morning all.
10:15 am on July 16th, 2014
Good morning, All! Hank is a cutey, but we couldn’t watch the video of him at the all-star game. Was he really there? Did youse see him?
It is gorgeous here today. No more rain, storms, or humidity. Just blue skies and refreshing air. A/C is off and windows are open! YAY!
10:27 am on July 16th, 2014
Good morning all. Beautiful day here too.
Howlers, thanks for the compliment on Lily. She was a cute kid and is turning into a beautiful almost teenager. She loves her animals. Says she want to be a vet, which we think is wonderful.
Hank is super cute and landed in a perfect spot. The video was well done.
Baseball…we have nothing to say.
10:44 am on July 16th, 2014
Good morning all. We have the last trailings of the tropical rainforest weather. It is cooler, but still raining. Blue skies are expected later.
That’s a good thing cuz Mama is on her way up into the hills to have lunch with Zoe and Martha. She is bringing Bears.
We are also hoping for good weather this weekend as this is our show on Cape Cod. We hope to see OFA – he usually finds time to stop by and see us. Wonder if a certain Pug will blur in to interview Spence. Or Admin.
10:51 am on July 16th, 2014
And for those who need inspiration to go do something fun today:

11:18 am on July 16th, 2014
Awwwww! T&G, what a sweet video!
Please tell the Royal Mum to send special Wosengrizz hugs and love to Zoe and Martha.
Wishing you delightful weather and big, BIG sales for your show this weekend!!!!
11:31 am on July 16th, 2014
G R E A T Videos! Go Hank! Go Flint! (was that a mr. carrot we saw?)
The Royal Mum is Bringing Bears! Yay!
Paws crossed OFA (and Admin) will be stopping by at your show next weekend.
HOH: We do believe WeatherKat is sending some warmer temps your way.
Sorry ML.
Barb&Magpie: Loved the Photo of Lily & Iowa yesterday. That Grand of yours is Something Special.
11:42 am on July 16th, 2014
Hank has found his place in life. sniff.
HOH: What did you mean when you said, “So, what do we do? You tell us.” last night? Here we thought you had already turned in for the night.
Rose: Derek Jeter…last All-Star game…bitter sweet. sob.
(we too are missing the snowhook gang)
Howlers: Enjoy your day!
Hi to B & all.
12:28 pm on July 16th, 2014
Hank is a lucky dog! Baseball!!
I’m glad Jeter had a good All Star game.
12:33 pm on July 16th, 2014
Hello All–Love Hank, Love Flint, would love to see some precipitation around here (there were hints, but it’s just overcast).
T and G–Bears? Have I missed something over the past few days?
Bright blessings to all wherever this Wednesday takes you. Conan and I have a shower in a few minutes (always an interesting experience for both of us).
12:47 pm on July 16th, 2014
Sometime during the wee hours of the morning Ricky Raccoon stopped by. He did his Usual Damage tipping over the water bowl and overturning a planter before disappearing into the night.
Thieves! Staying out of trouble? Silly question! Youse are probably in it up to your ears and tails. Heh.
Hi, Diane. Showering with Conan…now that would be a sight to see.
The Bears in question are from this month’s Auction and are a Gift to Zoe and Family for their Celebration of Life for Dan & Melanie on July 26th.
(thank you, Awesome Dawson and ???)
Dog. This Summer is just GALLOPING By(e).
Let Us Enjoy-Every-Single-Minute while it is here.
1:11 pm on July 16th, 2014
Gulp. Have I Let the Kat Out of the Bag?
1:14 pm on July 16th, 2014
Dear Kat! Big paws and now a big blabbermouth…whatever are we going to do with you, Bear?
1:26 pm on July 16th, 2014
Bear, I think you are OK. T & G’s mama said earlier she was having lunch with Zoe and Martha and taking the bears with her. So I don’t think it was a secret.
1:51 pm on July 16th, 2014
Barb&Magpie: Thank youse for your Vote of Confidence.
We sure hope so. Paws crossed here.
1:53 pm on July 16th, 2014
BSD–thanks for clarifying. Momentarily had an image of driving with live bears in vehicle (amusing but problematic).
1:58 pm on July 16th, 2014
Nap time here right after some reading. Barb went to the library and checked out The Secret Life of Bees. Baye is reading it for a required summer book report. She wanted Barb’s input and since the book was read 4 or 5 ears ago she thought a refresher would be a good idea. Loved the book. Did anyone else read it?
2:13 pm on July 16th, 2014
We read The Secret Life of Bees (a long time ago) and liked it very much.
2:16 pm on July 16th, 2014
Diane: Your vision is humorous, but with the Royals experiencing the frequent Presence of Bears in their backyard of late, it could happen. Lol.
2:51 pm on July 16th, 2014
Mom loved The Secret Life of Bees also.
And for you Lisa Scottolini fans, here is a fun interview:

3:14 pm on July 16th, 2014
Phew, g-son is running mom ragged 🙂 WE are enjoying having someone with LOTS of juvenile energy and mom is enjoying semi-intelligent discussions (whatever those are).
3:22 pm on July 16th, 2014
Diane – we had to giggle about your idea of driving live bears to visit Zoe and Martha – problematic indeed.
It was a lovely visit. Mama is a little teary eyed, but she did manage to get some nice pictures before things got too blurry. Pictures coming up.
3:25 pm on July 16th, 2014
O’Howlers and Mom, Thanks for your card! : )
3:26 pm on July 16th, 2014
Beautiful ladies, beautiful iris, happy bears

3:27 pm on July 16th, 2014
A garden of bee balm and love

3:28 pm on July 16th, 2014
Our Beloved Friend’s bench, under her peach tree and next to the river

3:31 pm on July 16th, 2014
And we could feel her there with us today.

This brass dedication plate was made and affixed by a dear friend of the family. Thank you, Tom.
3:33 pm on July 16th, 2014
That’s all for now. Too blurry to type any more.
sniff
I miss my Friend so very much.
3:37 pm on July 16th, 2014
sniff indeed…
3:46 pm on July 16th, 2014
Thank you for the wonderful pictures Tupper’s Mama.
3:47 pm on July 16th, 2014
Thank you A. Our mom is crying now too.
3:53 pm on July 16th, 2014
So misty here too and g-son said, “That is touching”. not bad for a 13, almost 14, year old.
4:01 pm on July 16th, 2014
Thank you for the lovely pictures, Royal Mum. sniff sob sniff
4:06 pm on July 16th, 2014
Forget the SDD. Now Someone here is crying too. A lot.
4:11 pm on July 16th, 2014
Thank you for the pictures, Amalia. And the bears and iris are lovely tributes to our dear friend.
4:13 pm on July 16th, 2014
That very last foto got me big-time. sob, sob.
4:14 pm on July 16th, 2014
Always wonderful when Tupper and Gillie’s mom comes to play. The dogs think so too.
4:25 pm on July 16th, 2014
Zoe: Sending Big Bear Hugs to you from afar. I hope you can feel the Plunderer’s Love.
4:48 pm on July 16th, 2014
Like Masquers, that last photo got me sobbing.
I had hoped to be able to drive to Massachusetts for the memorial, but I’m unable to. I will blur in.
4:58 pm on July 16th, 2014
Beautiful photos and sentiment; thank you.
4:59 pm on July 16th, 2014
Another positive vote for Secret Life of Bees.
(Also commend “Good Omens” by Neil Gaiman and (Sir) Terry Pratchett–not crazy about either of them on their own, but this book had an interesting surprise ending with a MOST unlikely hero)
5:15 pm on July 16th, 2014
Thank you for the beautiful pictures. It looks so peaceful where that bench is…sniff.
We all miss Melanie and love her.
5:20 pm on July 16th, 2014
Our Beautiful Heart Friend. Nary a day goes by that we don’t remember her in some small way.
It is quite a Testament to her life that she made such a Strong and Lasting Impression on everyone who knew her, especially each of her fellow Plunderers.
She is and always will be the Heart of this Blog.
5:30 pm on July 16th, 2014
In the tulip video, I swear I caught a glimpse of a pink bulldozer, or maybe it was just a tractor.
The purple bear was much larger than I imagined.
Lovely ladies in MA.
I am off to my first evening of camp. I hope there will be s’mores!
5:38 pm on July 16th, 2014
So it seems that there is a skunk living under mom’s rental cottage just behind our house. It visited the nice young lady who lives there. Now I think it would be grand to go talk to that skunk but mom is keeping me in. She says she is waiting to hear back from the pest control folks.
5:51 pm on July 16th, 2014
Scout, If I were there, I could take care of the skunk for you.
Mom says let us know what the pest control people say. We set traps for them around here.
6:00 pm on July 16th, 2014
Howlers: Great Lisa Scottoline & Francesca Serritella mother and daughter interview.
Scout: I’m glad your mom called for assistance. As some of our friends on this here blog can attest to that particular smell is poignant and lingering.
6:05 pm on July 16th, 2014
Just a tractor? That was a “Poppin’ Johnny” aka John Deere.
6:07 pm on July 16th, 2014
ML: Let’s hope your summer camp does indeed offer s’mores around the campfire. We are looking forward to hearing good (or at least funny) reports upon your return.
btw: what tulip video?
6:09 pm on July 16th, 2014
never mind.
6:29 pm on July 16th, 2014
Dear Scout – do not listen to Sibes when it comes to skunks. Sibes like to smell like skunks. They think it is a Sibe version of Channel #5.
We can tell you that while we think while it smells delightful on another dog or in the grass, getting hit in the face is NOT fun. Nor are the frequent baths to which you will be subjected.
Better to let your Mom get that pest control person. And after he’s done at your house, maybe he could come remove our problem pests…they kinda look like Wrotten Kats….
6:47 pm on July 16th, 2014
Fortunately WE haven’t run into a skunk since we got to TN, but WE have heard stories!
7:02 pm on July 16th, 2014
Masquers, the tulip video is the one with the Pom and spring time. It is really cute.
We also enjoyed the Lisa Scottoline interview with her daughter. We have read most of her books and really enjoyed them. Her female attorney ones are our favorites. It is interesting to see someone in an interview after only reading their written word.
7:14 pm on July 16th, 2014
Nana says she is intrigued by Lisa Scottoline because of her book: Why My Third Husband Will Be A Dog.
We say, What’s not to like?
7:18 pm on July 16th, 2014
Must say, is not original idea of Miss Scottoline. Natasha has said many times, first husband vas pig. Second vas snake. Third vill probably be dog – unless Natasha starts hanging out vith better quality companions.
Is right, Siber-H?
7:25 pm on July 16th, 2014
Natasha, our mom is 100% with you on that 🙂
7:46 pm on July 16th, 2014
Blondie here…look, I’m bigger than someone!

7:53 pm on July 16th, 2014
Natasha? (whispering) What is she talking about?
8:03 pm on July 16th, 2014
Tupper&Gilly: Thank you for delivering the Royal Bear and the Purple Bling Bear to Zoe. It is no secret the Purple Bling Bear is for Zoe from all us Plunderers and Lurkers in reverence of our Heart Friend and her friendship (and so much more) with all of us.
Also thanks for the pictures! Martha and Zoe with the beautiful irises picture that I think everyone wanted at auction. The bee balm looks great, as does the bench and yes, the close up of the name plate has me sobbing.
And your earlier have some fun video featured Mr Carrot and a pink-ish John Deere tractor. Fun, indeed!
8:14 pm on July 16th, 2014
B&M: Thanks for your help. I found it right after that post. We all agree it was a very cute video T&G posted.
Dawson: Yes, and a Mr. Carrot too!
8:16 pm on July 16th, 2014
Blondie! Snicker.
8:30 pm on July 16th, 2014
Does Anyone Know who won Bear’s Pancake Warmer?
It is Packaged and Ready to go. All we need is a mailing address.
8:34 pm on July 16th, 2014
Ditto here, BSD. Old Book, dog glass paperweight, and bone cookie cutters.
8:40 pm on July 16th, 2014
What are those babies? Their feet don’t look like puppy feet.
8:47 pm on July 16th, 2014
Bear, that was me me me. And I sent Rebecca a paypal payment so it is OK to mail that pancake warmer! Yip Yip Yippee!
You have my address, right?
8:48 pm on July 16th, 2014
B&M: You’re right, they do not look like puppy feet!
8:50 pm on July 16th, 2014
Why, Thank You, Staff. Mystery Solved 😉
8:52 pm on July 16th, 2014
And, Yes. I do Have Your Address.
8:56 pm on July 16th, 2014
And so…another “well wrapped” package goes out to Alice, Abbie, & staff tomorrow.
9:01 pm on July 16th, 2014
Those babies are supposed to be bulldogs (or Winston Churchill’s children).
9:01 pm on July 16th, 2014
HOH, I won the paperweight. I sent a check in the mail the very next day. I haven’t seen that it was cashed so I don’t know if it arrived or not. I was going to use PayPal but I looked into it and while it wouldn’t cost me anything, it cost the place where I was sending it. So I didn’t want to do that in case Snowhook had to pay something for it.
9:11 pm on July 16th, 2014
Video? We missed seeing a video. We just saw the photos.
And we don’t know who bought the Jem or Twig prints either.
When was the last time we heard from Snowhook? I am getting worried.
9:16 pm on July 16th, 2014
O.K. I found the video of Flint. He is so adorable. I had not clicked on it earlier because Momma said we couldn’t have fun. She had to work work work.
After she was done working, she took Zeus and me to the v-e-t for a SHOT!
9:26 pm on July 16th, 2014
(Pookey here) Kat and Zeus, so sorry y’all got shots at the v e t today. I did too but for that dagnabbed infection from that rackety-koon. Just know that y’all are better for that, at least that is what mom says.
9:32 pm on July 16th, 2014
Kat: How come Mama Meash lucked out at the V*E*T?
9:40 pm on July 16th, 2014
Neighbor!….We’ve been out over at a neighbor’s garage looking at all his wood carvings…snort!…He has as much wood as my friend has paper…heh!heh!…Very cool stuff!
9:47 pm on July 16th, 2014
Mama Meash gets lyme shot every year. My momma just discovered that Zeus and I were not getting that, so when we all went for Bordatella for Awesome Dawgs play park, Zeus and I got our first lyme too. Tonight was our second lyme.
9:57 pm on July 16th, 2014
Kat: Good to know the ‘rents keep youse Up-to-Date on your shots.
Mas Importante.
9:58 pm on July 16th, 2014
Riö: Did your friend buy anything?
10:10 pm on July 16th, 2014
We are not convinced that those are real English Bull dog pups. They look a little strange, but hey, just our opinion.
Nighty noodles for now. Sleep well everyone.
10:15 pm on July 16th, 2014
Maskers!….She just looked…snort!…But she says she has some ideas about future Auction Items…heh!heh!
10:18 pm on July 16th, 2014
Barb&Magpie: Right behind you! We here Cannot Get Cool. It’s a Choice of Eat or Go to Bed. We are opting to do the latter.
Hasta La Pasta – Bear
10:33 pm on July 16th, 2014
Amalia, thank you for the love and photos you sent of our dear friend’s family and memory. How much that lovely woman added to my life!
HOH: I won the cookie cutters.
Kat: I won the Jem print. I LOVE him. My grandson’s school “studies” the Iditarod every year. Now I will show him Jem’s photo and he can share info about Snowhook.
I sent out a check the Monday after the auction.
It is almost time to wish you all Nighty Noodle.
10:33 pm on July 16th, 2014
Good job. Your friend is thinking ahead. She and CHobbiti must be twins.
Someone here is shutting off the computer…because…it’s too hot? WTH.
Oh, I see…she wants to watch something that was recorded earlier.
okay, signing off until tomorrow.
10:51 pm on July 16th, 2014
Auction!…Items! Hold onto them until you hear the official word from Rebecca…snort!…She has had a LOT going on at her busy-place this week and the Giant is off working away from the kennel. So Rebecca is flying solo and doing the best she can….wuffle!…Please be patient and I’m sure she will be contacting youse donor-guys with the winners info so you can scurry to the postal office and mail them off…sneeze!
10:53 pm on July 16th, 2014
I have been very busy keeping an eye on that damn pixie. That is no easy task, let me tell youse. Charlie says that Professor B practically manages herself, but not that damn pixie. She is a pawful. She says she is busy working and taking care of us while the Giant is away for work. Can you believe that she has to be reminded that she wants to rub my belly or that she needs me to lick her nose in the middle of the night? This being in charge stuff is hard work.
10:53 pm on July 16th, 2014
Dawson – Mama has been meaning to tell you- the feathers on both of those Bears came from the box of feathers you brought to the Plunderfest. That was part of why they were special.
And guess what, guess what, guess what. The Storyteller just told Mama that his was the winning bid on the Old Book from Herd of Hounds. Mama is spinning and twirling. She really wanted that book, but promised she wouldn’t bid on it. Gramp and the Storyteller went in on it together and sent Snowhook all the money they had pooled in order to win it.
So HOH – you can send the Old Book to us – we promise you it will be cherished and treasured.
10:56 pm on July 16th, 2014
Of course we mean after Rebecca notifies you that you can send it.
(Sorry Rio)
11:00 pm on July 16th, 2014
That damn pixie tells me that donors have been notified for all the items that we have received payment for thus far. She will check the post office box again tomorrow.
11:02 pm on July 16th, 2014
Corgies!…Always jumping the loaded gun!…snort!
Belly!…We posted almost the same thing only different at almost the same time…heh!heh!…I would say great minds think alike but that is not very true in this situation…sniff!
11:06 pm on July 16th, 2014
Phooey, no s’mores. No food at all. Just a bunch of talking, and as expected, one very annoying person who just will not shut up. Over all, though, a good night. Bingo tomorrow night!
toodles
11:07 pm on July 16th, 2014
Rio: Great tails wag alike.
11:28 pm on July 16th, 2014
Belle Starr – and great butts wiggle together too.
Wait….that doesn’t sound right….
11:40 pm on July 16th, 2014
Great!….Heads bump together at ….awwww! ….Never mind,,,snort! ..I am off to my nice cool bed where all my baseball toyz are in all the right places…sniffle!twirl!sniffle!
12:09 am on July 17th, 2014
I am off to bed also. The cuddle blankie is wrapped up nicely but a good strong box must be found for the chicken watering system. Heh heh heh
It is going WAAAAYYYY up north.
nighty noodles to all except LizF. G’day Liz and Ruby
