Good morning. If we wore GoPros, the ‘rents would never want to leave us here alone again. Ever.
Pop had to return to his workplace today. Sniff. At least Mom is still home, and she tells us this is only for 3 days. Then we will be back on all-family vacation once again.

The GoPro video made us cry. Literally. We cried with that poor abandoned puppy, then the Wrotten Kats came to see what we were crying about, and THRY started whining. Mama had been a little sniffly at first, but for some reason, she thought everything was hysterically funny after a while.
But now she is going to abandon US! Something about going to see Zoe and Martha. Harrumph. As if that gives her an excuse for Corgi abuse.

Uh oh. Our neighbor across the creek just called. He sold his home. The buyer is a (parttime) organic farmer, and has chickens and goats. He was looking for space to rent in a barn until he gets a pole barn built. Mom said “no”. She keeps staring at me.

I think it is the flu but the man who lives in this house insists it is a cold. He has had it for over a week and has coughed so hard he has a bruised rib. I believe he doesn’t want to admit that although he got a flu shot, he got the flu anyway.

We read that this year’s flu shot does not protect from the strain of flu that hit. Every year, it is a crapshoot. They say that if you got the shot, you will not get as sick as if you would not have gotten the shot, but you can still get the flu. It has hit very hard, in our area at least.

BUT, mom had tests for flu and strep and both showed negative. They just say it is an “unspecified viral infection”. The DDD tells everyone to get healthy.

A belated good morning to all–Today I check to see if the acupuncture is actually working–7 hours with my feet under me (with a break somewhere in there to walk home and escort elderly dogs outside). I’m cautiously optimistic.
I feel so sorry for that poor dog–why haven’t they given him/her some anti-anxiety training? It feels cruel…
Dawson: FLUIDS and stay under the quilt. Try to be unconscious if possible.

Good day all.
Because of the holiday and being sick, I got mixed up on days and forgot to set out my garbage bin for pickup. And I’ve been oversleeping because of being sick. Carpola! I should be fine trash wise but will listen to the beep from the bin one more week.
My cold and sore throat are better. Trying to do errands today. May have a relaspe but if I start declining, I will go home.

DAwson, Hobbit and all with the creeping crud. Mine started the 17th. Saw the quack,er, Doc on the 18th. Given antibiotics and cough med. Flu and strep tests: negative. Began feeling better for Christmas. 27th woke up feeling yucky again. Temp back up, sand in throat. Now no voice and exhausted. going back to quack tomorrow :(.

We did indeed have a lovely visit with Martha and Zoe. It was a pretty day to drive up country, and Mac was a true gentleman, offering us acres of tummy to rub when we got there.
We had called for an our doc for an appointment, and based on the symptoms, the doc called back and ordered us to come in RIGHT NOW! And we didn’t even feel that bad. But now we know that it is a sinus infection. yuck. But soon to get better, and at least it’s not contagious.

Rio, Here the grass is still partially green. It is easy to get around, but not normal for this time of year. At least a little snow would be nice.

Well we got about 4 inches of snow and they are acting as if it was a blizzard. We had parking restrictions until they cleared the snow and I had to go move the pale blue van so it wouldn’t get towed.
