Good Job, Gino!
“Here’s a story from Tukwila, Washington,” Bernie said. “Must be near Seattle – it rains all the time up there, Chet.”
Rains all the time? What would that be like? I tried to remember the last rain we’d had and couldn’t.
“It’s all about Gino, this K-9 German shepherd. A perp stabbed him in the neck with a three-and-a-half inch blade. They rushed Gino to the vet and he ran in himself! Now he’s all stitched up and due back at work July fourth. And the perp got busted, of course.”
Way to go, Gino! This story reminds me of something that happened to me. I think it’s in Dog On It.
Thanks for the tip, Keebler.

And like you Chet, Gino has an 8-year-old boy as his best friend:
