We have been through this once this week already.

There was a coyote in our front yard this morning. He/she looked to be in good condition.

Wolfie checked in last night, and I was having a party with the pet giraffe I didn’t know we had. Something was asked about the wedding in my recap. Well, if I remember clearly a certain super spy and a certain Siber are to be wed. It is a theme wedding with the theme to be flower eating. The Giraffe is to officiate.
I slept well last night. My Lady stayed up until all hours to wash and dry the bedding I may or may not have ruined. She also stayed away watching me until the wee hours of the morning; she wanted to make sure I was okay. When she dozed off around 2:30, I pulled the Quilt over her and went back to sleep. She needed the Quilt more than I think she realized.
She, my Lady, tells me today is a low cost rabies clinic and I, along with 27 of my fellows are to be stuck. Haven’t I suffered enough.

Just got back from Melanie’s. She and Zoe are well, and working their way through all the emotions, and details and paperwork and everything else. They send their best to everyone, but they may not be on the blog too much right now. Both of them are just tired and are finding great comfort in just being with each other, and well, just being.
We need to go back and see what the heck is going on – who’s got a pet giraffe? And how come Rio and Beau get to go hang out at a pub with Kat, but when WE invite them, they can’t leave their backyard? humphh!

Here’s the condensed version. We told y’all about Dad having a seizure on Monday evening. He came out of it fine but tests they run do indicate something in the brain. MRI doesnt show whether infection or tumor. He has been on IV antibiotics since Monday night. The next step is a biopsy which involves cutting a small portion of skull and withdrawing small portion of problem. Very scary.
Although he has received very good care in this hospital, he is seeking 2nd opinion in med center in Houston (very well known for treatments). Please pray for good news. He will stay in this hospital until Monday, get to go home for 1 night then has appt on Tues afternoon at med center. He is very glad he gets to come home and see us for at least one night.
Today is Mom’s 60th bday. Not the best way to start this decade. We will put him and Mom under the quilt and plunder on.

As I was growing older, I couldn’t wait to hit thirty because my mother always talked positively about that time in her life. Belle Starr has helped me with the math, and according to our calculations, turning 60 should be twice as nice.

AJ is still on the road which left Handler Jeremy and I to load up 28 dogs for a low cost rabies clinic. We had a problem with the trailor that set us back almost two hours, but we handled it and made some minor and major adjustments to our plans. In the end the dogs received their rabies shots. Tenzing and I, the latter of which didn’t sleep well last night, are going to take it easy the rest of the day beginning with a nap—Tenzing is getting a head start.

Watching Elementary here too. It’s getting good reviews. We remember Jonny Lee Miller from Eli Stone 3 years ago. That show only lasted one season. Let’s hope this one fares better.

Thank you, guys. Back before Mom and Dad had the “Chet the Dog” blocks made for Spence, Dad had a set made for Mom that says “Plunder on”. They are on top of the cabinets above the stove. She was looking at them this morning and knew that, along with family and friends here, she has a powerful set of friends with this blog.

I am downloading Tarzan of the Apes by Edgar Rice Burroughs for Maggie to read. She said she remembers it from her childhood. She recently read a book called Ape House and it reminded her of Tarzan.
Dad is reading a Donald Westlake book Jimmy the Kid. It is a book based on a book by Richard Stark. (Donald Westlake) It is very funny. He keeps laughing. This downloading books for their readers is going nicely.

So I just came to this about 2 months too late. I made Mr.Staff pay for me to have cable hooked up to the spare bedroom but didn’t spring for the HD hookup. On Demand requires HD which means I would have to pay for a whole nother installation, drat it all, and an HD box upgrade. Then I would get to pay for the On Demand also.
Sniff.
Ain’t gonna happen.

Well I am at the parents anyway so it won’t happen here for sure. And by the time I am back long enough for it to matter there will probably be something else I can do, or another upgrade that will be needed.

As it turned out, my mom had a heart attack. I believe she will pull through, but she is still intubated and sedated. She was awake for awhile and wanted to listen to the NCIS marathon, and was worried because she is getting behind on her crosswords. My mom is amazing.

Trouble!…That’s Beau’s job these days. I am in the relaxing stage of life….snort!…. I will tell you this Bellie, once you are ear-marked as a trouble maker, you will always be a trouble maker…snort!…I was ear-marked early in my life. There are things I did and things I did not do, but I was always the guy in trouble…sniff!… Because I was ear-marked as a trouble-maker….grunt!….Do not become Ear-Marked! That is my advice to you…snort!…I had something else but it got ate by the blog…growl!

Thanks for all of the kind words about my dad. Went with the rest of the family this morning to make final arrangements for the funeral. Dad was a WW2 vet, but he wouldn’t get military honors unless we found his honorary discharge papers. Fortunately we did. Most absurd rule goes to Social Security, who demands that we produce the 70 year old marriage license. I will get up and make a brief speech on Wednesday, followed by my song of choice – Pilgrim by Steve Earle.
