Good morning, everyone! Aaaaaachoooooo! Oh my, we think Pookey is allergic (to politicians). Could we consider banning them?
    Have a terrific Thursday πŸ™‚

Whoa! Allergic to Members of the Nation Within? That Guy’s a Goner, Politically speaking. Heh.
(as a side note…who knew old HH was partners with one of my kind?)

Yes! Good Morning Hounds and All.

Good morning. Interesting article. We didn’t know that fact about HH either. I think everyone knows about Roosevelt’s Fala. He was photographed with him a lot.

You will need an umbrella around here today. Things will really start popping outside now. Luckily, we got one of Jessica’s 4 garden beds prepped and planted – 4 lettuces, radishes, spinach, and beets.

Then relaxed with a cookout and a nice Merlot.

    Have fun today, ML.

Thinking of Boobear’s mom and Rose.

    Good morning all.
Welcome to the states, Oh Awesome One

Just got a new picture from up on the hill.
Dan the Dog is still a puppy, and excitable, so Zoe wisely was taking introductions slow. But River was fascinated with Dan, and apparently, the feelings were mutual.

ML – he knew you in high school – hardly the best looking age for any of us. You are gorgeous now. He will be so happy to see you, and remember – this is just lunch. Relax and have a good time, laugh at old memories and be comfortable with someone who already knows you.

  20. Luna
    11:40 am on April 2nd, 2015

ML: We are blurring your way to give Gary the once over. No offense to your pack of little dogs, but they may not be as intimidating as several of us larger dogs. It is important that Gary know there are many who care about you and are adept at grabbing pant legs should intentions be less than honorable. It was Wyatt’s idea. He wanted to go it alone until the Thieves convinced Wyatt that he’s not the bad a$$ he fancies himself to be. He was very shocked to learn of this.

More to ML: Remember a gentlem doesn’t honk the horn, he comes to the door. More to remember—a firm handshake is a great way to communicate ‘I had a nice time, let’s to it again.’ A bit tighter and it can communicate, ‘make a move and say good bye to your pant legs.’

I focused on the firm and ignored the loving side of my paw in my last comment. ML: Have a wonderful time! If you see Pancho disguised as a waiter and Lefty disguised at Pancho, don’t be alarmed. They made a promise to Wyatt to keep and eye on you. They may be thieves, but they try to honor their word.

BooBear checking in. So far, status quo. Linus is much weaker but holding on. Mom told him it was ok to go to Dad, but I guess he will pick his own time.

Love the pic of River and Dan the Dog!

Also love the title and picture for the cover of AJ and Rebecca’s new book. Mom and I think it should be a serious consideration for them. It could also be good if it has stories interspersed written by Luna or the Thieves. You know, the chapters are in italics to set them apart. Humor for the dog lovers.

Oh, and a confession. The first time RioMas tracked a flight on this blog, I thought it was the name of the website that Rio and Masquers were using to get the flight info. DUH!!!!!!!! I promise I figured it out pretty quick.

Oh, and back to AJ and BDHW’s book….it would have stories of Mollypop and Dima and others running beside the team (AJ has said that he actually has seen them) and his new name given by the Elder. So many good memories and stories to pick from. This is exciting. Rebecca, start your outline!! (and start with the story of how you and AJ met!!)

ML: Waiting for details. So glad the Thieves are on the job.

Bohemian Wax Wings! That was only a few of the birds that were there. They come in a swarm of 20 to 30 birds, eat their fill then leave.

I’m reading every other word – my brain is not functioning properly (what’s new). AJ and Rebecca have a new book?

Barb: Did you ask a few weeks ago if anyone had seen the film, “The Judge”? We did in October and liked it. The critics kind of panned it saying there was too much going on. But to our way of thinking, families and life are messy, and this film showed that a lot goes on in families. Our favorite quote was when Robert Downey, Jr., pats his big brother, Vincent D’Onofrio, on the shoulder, and D’Onofrio’s brother says, “Don’t pat me. You don’t get to pat me. I’m the oldest brother. I’m the one who gets to pat people.”

Here I am. AT&T and I finally got me back in business.

He got there 15 minutes early and texted me what kind of car he was in, so off I went. He was waiting outside, obviously nervous, with a rose. We got our food, with me keeping an eye out for any out of place characters. I must say that they did a very good job of blending in. We talked a lot, he apologized for breaking my heart, we talked a lot of “what ifs”. I can’t remember if I told you that he lost his wife the month after Rick died. He has 4 adult children and 19 year old twins still at home with him. He wanted to go somewhere else, but we couldn’t think of anywhere, and I was talked out, so we said goodbye for now after an hour and a half. The only evening we have off in common is Saturday, so it will be a week before that can happen. Sorry no romance novels details Barb!

Chuckle, chuckle……Barb is thinking of the big family gatherings and Rio is relieved ML is home safe and adds in an “Oh Brother”!

From here I think it was as it should be, old friends getting together with hopes of seeing each other again….and yes, the rose was a nice touch.

So HOH is up for another visit to Miss Julia’s house. I always smile about that! The latest visit for me will be Aril 7th when the newest book comes out. I pre-order! I spare no expense where Miss Julia is concerned.

And I loved the proposed book cover for the up and coming tales of He Who Is Not Cold Because He Has Good Dogs. Let’s just say it WILL be written!

I don’t know a lot about how exactly self publishing works, but I can heartily recommend a book called Dear Bob and Sue. It is by Matt and Karen Smith, and it tells of their travels one year through each and every National Park. They tell it through emails to their friends, Bob and Sue, hence the name of the book. I went to a major booksellers to buy a copy for a friend for her birthday, and could not find it on the shelf. The information person looked it up, and it turns out it has to be ordered……because it is PRINTED ON DEMAND! That may be a great way to get a book out there. There is no listed publisher in my copy. These folks have a website, www dot dearbobandsue dotcom and they are also on facebook. What a long winded post, but maybe this info can go in the pot for the greatest dog musher book ever.

We add our vote for a Snowhook book. Both Bella and AJ are great storytellers, and it would be good if certain miscreants had a voice in the book too.

We may have had to improvise, but on the whole, the date with ML and Gary almost went off without a hitch. It was the admittance that Gary broke ML’s heart that got us. The thought of someone hurting ML made us drop a tray of ribs and wings. We were in plain sight! Gary looked our direction, but luckily, Wyatt came to the rescue. Gramps is still funny about hanging from his tail and Rio said he was busy adding midwife—there must be a story there—to his business card. Fortunately, Wyatt insisted on coming with us. Wyatt lowered himself by fishing line from the ceiling, pointed his paws at his eyes, then to Gary’s eyes and back to his eyes to send a message that we have our eyes on him. This was the subtle distraction we needed. Thanks to Wyatt, we were able to clean up the spilled ribs without anyone being the wiser that we were even there. Whew!

Wyatt may not be a natural thief, but he makes us proud anyway. It was that kind of on the spot thinking that made this mission a success.
