Good morning, everyone! Lots of pawrayers for hero Bruno and a big retirement package. ML, so good to hear from you and your foto was special. Missed a couple of our blog family yesterday but know we will hear from everyone soon.
Let’s put a smile on this Saturday 🙂

    Good morning. Happy Saturday.
Poor Bruno. He really is a hero.
We really hate when a Member of the Nation Within is referred to as “it”. Does that bug youse guys too?

    Greetings,

Hope Bruno is feeling tip-top soon!

O’Howlers, yes it does bother me when people refer to the nation within! and even Kats as it. Youse all are dogs and Kats with feelings, love, and devotion.

    Yikes! Off to do taxes!

Loulou will go to her playgroup this morning. I hope she gets really tired out because she’s coming to my house after the playgroup. She needs to be exhausted so she won’t keep pouncing on me.

Princess Sammie – and what is the matter with pouncing, we ask you. Pouncing is good. It is a skill. Tell LouLou to come here and we will show her some real professional pouncing techniques.

Good morning all. Even you Batty Howlers.

    Good morning all.

This is GLAD’s portrait of me-me-me.

Re: bats. Our neighbor had bats in the attic (they don’t have a belfry). It was fun to watch the little guys come out at dusk, a few at a time, very quickly, from the louver. The neighbors patched the holes. He wanted to put up a bat house. She wanted the bats to go away. So they did.

Here is hoping Bruno is feeling tip-top in no time.

ML: Thank you for posting the photo of Rick and his best girl. You are in our prayers.

Princess Sam: When Tenz was but a pup, I found that sitting on him took the pounce right out of him. It worked until he for bigger than me.

Good morning all. We are in for a crazy week here. Sammy, the testosterone laden Newfie has arrived for a little 8 day vaca, while his family goes to Florida. Plus Lyla and Jack are here for a few hours. Oh boy, we have a full house!

Sammy can’t decide whether to pester me or Lucy. Lucy seems to really like him, but I find him annoying with all that sniffing.

Sammy, having Loulou pouncing on you ain’t nuttin!

Poor Bruno. Glad the shooter got what he deserved. And no, we don’t like it when they call him an IT.

Bruno is not an “it”. Hope he feels better soon.

    Batwoman/man:
With what did you knock the bat down? Did you pick it up with your bare hands?!

Wose: Hope the taxman doesn’t bite you!

Princess Sam: I wouldn’t count on Loulou getting tired out at playgroup. She seems to have limitless energy. I suggest taking Mama Lina’s advice. Under no circumstances should you allow Basil and Sage to give her pouncing lessons.

Macy’sMom: Love the expression on Rick’s face in that photo.

BlueCat: That is a beautiful drawing of BlueCat. Is that pastels? GLAD is super talented. Remember the drawing of KirbyPenworthy? Amazing.
More talent: I just finished re-reading For The Love of Puppies by Dan Montaque in which drawings of the Newfoundlands are by OTAS. A beautiful little book and ditto on the drawings.

A beautiful sunny day. A walk down to the lake is on the agenda.

The bat was swatted with a fly swatter, then picked up with a paper towel. We checked our attic. No bats. We do have bats in the barn, and appreciate them there.
We keep meaning to buy all of the C&B audio books. It is on the to-do list.
Bluecat, we’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again: you are the most bee-a-utiful cat ever. Even T.C. agrees. Mom is kicking herself for not getting a GLAD portrait of Dima. Maybe if she gets a good photo of Annie post-shedding…pondering…
It is a lovely day here. The ‘rents went to a farm Barb and Maggie would love, and came home with pork and (whispering) chicken. Yumm.
Kat can pounce with the best of ’em. Oh yes she can.

Hello All–I just got off the phone with the Anaheim PD who said that although Bruno “took quite a serious hit” he was stable and still being monitored. I’ll keep you all informed. I am so sorry to hear about the Albuquerque officer.
However, since we are all still thinking of our dear friend and the transiory nature of what we call life, I also just double-checked a nice bit of physics (and recall that matter is energy multiplied by the square of the speed of light):

Dawson – the portrait is pastels.

    Wose – it’s 5×7

GLAD worked from a snapshot mom emailed to her, then snail mailed to her, so any picture of Dima should work. She’s very good at capturing the spirit of the animal in the portrait. She’s surely intuitive.
