Friend of the Month Update!
We now have the name of Fred the Turtle’s (our May Friend of the Month) canine companion. Here, from their human companion, are the facts: “His name is ‘Little’ Leadville. A rescue puppy found on a trip to Leadville Colorado to ride the Leadville 100 mountain bike race in 2009.”

I’m glad we have a name for our FOM. I just received the following list in an email and think that I should share it with you.
Here are 10 signs you may love your dog more than people:

The Turtleman rode the Leadville 100 race more than once. He is a biking/running fiend. A fitting companion to his wife E who also loves to run run run. Maybe they are part husky? A part I missed for sure.
Up to for me is another part husky. I haven’t seen her before. She is Fergie. It says she is a husky corgi mix. Short legs and a beautiful foxy tail. snicker. Tupper and Gilly might be very jealous of that tail. Maybe they need a carrot?

Dog gone it. I tried to attach Fergies picture but I guess it didn’t work. grump. I will attach info about….nah. Maybe I will just leave little Rio alone and stop yanking his tail.
I have a computer question.
Java updater keeps harassing me to update. But when I tried to update nothing happened. So I have given it up and now just click close the window and it goes away. Till the next time I start the computer. What gives? Does anyone know? I tried googling it but nothing current comes up. I know Java has had issues in the past.

Awww TYB I remember seeing your husky corgi mix pup before. She is a cutie.
Fergie is a big girl and not quite as husky looking in the face. I just typed Fergie into Chet the Dog’s search bar and her picture came up. Evidently she was spotlighted by Admin when she first became a friend of Chet. I vaguely remember that post. heh.

Ok, Mama is getting the last of her trip organized and packed. (You know she only travels on Tuesdays as tickets cost a LOT less)
So today, she takes Gramp to the doctor, does the last of the groceries for the boys, and prints out all her paperwork.
And then, tomorrow, she will be in her beloved New Mexico. sigh.
She says first stop is her favorite restaurant for green chili stew.

Beau, One of the carrots has your name on it. One is going to ML, One is for Wose. (She needs both sizes just in case she has to travel with one.) I am going to send one to Tupper and Gilly and Callie because they were such good hosts to the traveling plunderers. So far I have found homes for those 4.
I am not sure Snowbella or Luna really want one. Or Maggie of Barb and Maggie. They said they liked them but do they want one? I wonder if Wolfie Wigglebutt needs one…sigh. There were more for sale. I wonder if I should go back. It is only 108 miles round trip…

The restaurant here in the hotel, Brioso, is having a pig roast to celebrate. I can’t wait. They roasted one yesterday too. There will be lots of good food that I can eat. There will be Salsa Dancers and a photo booth and I can’t remember what else.

I saw the actual pig only because Loulou and I were out for a walk. This was in the far back of the hotel parking lot. The pork will be shredded for tacos by the time I go down to the restaurant.

Rio: I was up by 8 am and have done laundry, grocery shopping, picked up my mail at the Post Office, picked up the dog yard and taken Sadie for a short walk. Sadie is sleeping at my feet while I type.
I don’t seem to have suffered jet lag either going to Turkey or returning so I don’t know if it is to still hit me or if I have avoided it for some reason.
(Rio, in order to be fair, if I had bought you a gift, I would have had to buy everyone a gift which would have cut into my treatie budget. I am sure you understand)
Looking forward to reports from Tupper’s Mom as she travels.

Howdy folks! Check it out! While I was whiling away my time in that darnburned crate today, I created my very own avatar.
Can you believe these people make me spend all day in that crate, with no water? I was dying of thirst until that lady came home and freed me. Also, they put a bottle and a bowl of wet stuff in there. That really irks me, so I always knock those on out of there. Thank Dog my girl Kat stayed by my side all day. She is the only one here who loves me.
