Friend of the Month Reminder

Last day of the month already! My how space/time flies, as Einstein used to say. Imagine how excited he’d have been knowing that today’s the last day to send in a photo for Chet’s February Friend of the Month contest! All you have to do, Albert, is post a pic to the FB page, preferably not in comments to this post but for you we’ll make an exception. The random number generator does the rest. Winner becomes the profile pic for the month (where Hank is now) and the human companion gets a signed copy of the latest Chet and Bernie novel, Heart of Barkness. Maybe you have a friend – Max Planck, for example – who knows nothing about C&B, or doesn’t even read, but has a candidate at home. Tell Max he too has a chance!

A picture of Plank when he was young…and had hair.

    Good afternoon all.

Max Plank…nothing to do with walking a plank.
    Hard to make physics puns,
    Good day to everyone,

    Curse Mr. Big’s thieving ways.
He was shorn like a sheep today and the vet noted that he has gained a whole pound which is a big deal. She is not happy with either of us.

Mr. Big was so angry with them that they had a hard time getting the job done–and they didn’t even try to put on the doggie coat I had bought him. He also had a rough time coming out of sedation . When the carrier was brought to me, he was growling up a storm but stopped when he heard my voice.

We have strict instructions to get the weight off and to make him be more active. Sadie and I have also gained weight so all of us are in the same boat (which is sinking under our combined weight). Phooey
