Friend of the Month Reminder!

Time for the friend of the month reminder! See Milwaukee Millie over there on the right? She’s Chet’s Friends of the Month for June. All her human companion did was send in a photo to the gallery. The random number generator (see below) did the rest, and HC qualified for a signed and paw-printed copy of The Sound and the Furry. This could be you! Just send in a photo.

Good morning! Mom is here having a vacation. This is seriously distracting us from our normal workaday lives.
Last night, they came home late, from a grand old time at the Brit pub where the Manatawny Ramblers were playing, and the outdoor patio, deck, lower deck, and big lawn were filled to the brim with happy 2-leggeds celebrating a beautiful summer night. Pop had wings, Mom had quesadilla. Beer was plentiful. This place is well-known for their ever-changing large variety of beer. They don’t even advertise, yet business booms.
Nana, we did not remember when your trip to Diluth (not east!) is. Do you leave today? Fare thee well!
Macy, if we are not too late, we want to weigh in on the flea spot-on stuff. We get that stuff once a month, but we get it from the v-e-t. Once upon a time, Mom used Biospot, which you can buy cheap from pet places. Moonman had a severe reaction and ended up in emergency for the weekend. Do NOT use that stuff.

Good morning, OH on vacation and everyone! FOTM? So soon? Boomers and rain all night made it a 4 dawg night around here. A large, warm pile of 2 and 4 leggers 🙂 WE did a good job, yes we did.
Have a summer Monday be it warm, wet, wild or westful (or in Nana’s case, “eastful”)

Stover, About the “dudes in flannel shirts”…

Spence must be referring to the Seattle music scene. In the early nineties a subculture of rock bands emerged in Seattle called grunge rock. They wore flannel shirts and got started playing in their garages.

Very lucky here, touchdown was in neighboring town and another about 6-7 miles from here. Neighbors and Josh and Jess were up for hours, Kelly and her family went to the basement. The bike shop alarm went off at 3:00 from the storm. And us, we had a good night’s sleep!

I made a delicious dinner. Spaghetti squash with tomatoes, feta cheese, basil and black olives. Now comes the cleanup. When I put the spaghetti squash in the microwave I couldn’t remember if it was six minutes or eight minutes so I did it for eight. It exploded and even blew the door open which probably saved some damage. Now it’s cleanup time.

  54. Tupper and Gilly

Mollypop’s Mom, Our Mom, Maggie, did that once also. It was a fairly large spaghetti squash and when the microwave blew open the squash splattered into the open shelving on the other side of the nook.

Oh man was that a lot of clean up- according to Maggie. Luckily I wasn’t there. heh. I am always very careful to make sure I make enough stabs into the squash now. Good luck on the cleanup.

OK guys, here is a confession. In trying to sound like I knew what I was talking about concerning the yahoo problem, I called Internet Explorer 8 Windows 8. It is IE 8 that is not supported. Internet Explorer 8 is one of the browsers that Microsoft uses to access the web Windows 8 is the upgrade after Windows 7 that we all love to hate. Have I confused you completely yet? I had to go look it up to see if I meant what I am trying to say.

And if you use Chrome or Firefox you should have no problems.

AHHH MPM dear, Can you explain it better?

BSD, Barb went to a Gallagher show once in Milwaukee and sat in the “wet seats”. The better seats up front came with a disposable plastic pancho so your clothes didn’t get wet when he smashed things. And he was funny.

I can see where this is heading. I am going to send Savannah along with the Thieves to RioMas headquarters for flight tracking. She can be trusted. She’s also good with details.

It is true, the Big Ole Auction Machine, BOAM for short—it was either that or taking to calling it Nameless—was purchased at a garage sale. It didn’t come with instructions and required some modifications for tracking bids. Between the handymannes of AJ, Mick the person, not the puppy’s mechanical genius, and a lot of guess work and swearing, chances are it will be up and running come auction time. The Thieves should be able to hot wire it, too but you didn’t hear that from me. Since the explosion of the Bid-o-matic 3000 and the subsequent demise of Auction Central, the lean-to that served as AC during the last auction has been expanded. To honor our Heartfriend, the new and improved AC will be painted with purple trim. My mama is also contemplating painting the door to the auction house purple.

Now I am really in a time warp. Last night it was Bob Dylan from 1978, and he was great, by the way. Now Megan Kelly FOXNews has an interview with Bill Ayers from the weathermen. She is really confronting him about the bombings, even though they were way back when. You don’t need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows – Dylan.

Was it a black bear? We can’t be certain, but we do know that our Lady made quick work of the chores tonight. We will be on the look out all night long.

I have been folding fabric. Turns out there is a right way to fold it so you can see it better when you put it on the shelf. And it is sorta fun. Maybe only to a quilter. I use the fold it around a 6×24 inch ruler method. I learned it tonight. I guess I better go to bed now. More folding tomorrow!

Goodnight you plunderers. Plunder on and on. Tuck under the quilt and stay warm and be well. Please
