HOH–I’m here but depressed and keeping a low profile. Temperature is 58 with a threat of rain. We need the rain desperately, but it also makes people drive very slowly here, and generally just slink around wondering what is wrong (probably me too to some extent).
Still no bloodshed to date (vis-a-vis the Big Three).

That cat is adorable! Definitely reminds us of a Corgi. Sort of like those Norwegian Forest cats and the Corgis blended all their DNA together and that is what got spit out. And that is NOT a short joke!
We are waiting for the snow to start. The grocery store parking lot was packed and so were the gas stations. People act like they will be snowed in for weeks.

Ok – so the munchkin kitty is very cute – but the Hobbit also mentioned maybe getting a Great Pyrenees. Kind of a strange pairing – mini kat, gigantic doggie.
Mama is still using the quilt on a regular basis. A friend stopped by today with chicken soup and a pan of mac n cheese. What a nice thing to do. Especially since the “boys” are really struggling with kitchen duties.
No snow predicted for around here. Rio – how are you making out with the storm?

Howlers, the foster home where Gucci is living is about an hour and a half away in the best of driving conditions, so could be several hours in a snow storm. Just not worth the risk to everyone. This rescue agency is very strict and will not let Barb go to pick her up or to meet half way. They want to bring her here and see how she interacts with me. Probably good that they are so particular, but it is going to take longer. No worries, the foster people love her and she seems to be totally happy there. We would feel much worse if she was sitting in a cage somewhere at a shelter.

Busy! It has been a busy week for the Giant and that damn pixie. The Giant trucked north again to find better trails and the pixie traveled to and for across this here state. Last night was her commencement from a leadership program she’s been in since this fall. She got gussied up, and get this—so did the giant. My Two-legged said she was so proud to show him off last night. My Two-legged also said that the Giant wore his new glasses. He’s never had glasses until now.
Melanie: If I understand correctly, cutting your hair short results in needing pixie dust. Before you get any ideas on where you can get some sparkles, you should know, I’m watching you.
