Spencer Quinn: And Chet and Bernie stumble upon a food truck they like very much. In fact, the food truck guy turns out to be a friend – at an important moment, he replaces something Chet has lost.
MP: What sort of something?

Hey everyone – it is really nasty outside, with humidity, bugs and poor air quality. At least we have Mama trained to turn on the air conditioner for us. All five four-leggeds are on their backs, paws in the air, enjoying the cool breeze on their bellies.
So far, Mama has been grocery shopping, brought her car in for service (air conditioner), taken care of paperwork, vacuumed and made preparations for dinner. Now she is sitting back and chillin’ waiting for Melanie to come by this afternoon.
Oh – and she is packing boutique items to send off to their new owners.

We didn’t think Wally was ugly either. He is a little mis-matched, however. Sorta like all his body parts don’t quite go together. Despite all that we still think he is cute.

Driving into the city today on errands. I was putting on some makeup and discovered that I have mosquito bites on top of mosquito bites! It is to be hot all this week = more mosquitoes.
I once had an “ugly” dog who had been abused and was in a shelter forever awaiting adoption. He ended up being a second dog to my very first dog who was really cute. When I walked them, the cute one would get pats and the ugly one would get comments. He always wanted to be petted but was fearful and resigned around people. Then I had a wonderful dog-loving house sitter for 3 weeks and I came home to a different dog. She adored him and loved on him more than the other for 3 whole weeks. It was very sweet. I had been trying to treat the dogs fairly equally but the little guy needed to be top dog for those 3 weeks and it made a difference.

We got our package from the North Pole today! Thank you, C. Hobbit, the cat place mat is adorable. It is a gift for daughter Shannon, who really doesn’t cook, or sit down at a table to eat at home; however she does love her kitties. She will use the place mat as a deco item, rather than a functioning one. So cool to have an envelope marked North Pole!

Good grief. Everyone is gone. I can’t even count on Rio. My big news: I have my first showing of my house tomorrow from 12:30 – 2:00. Cross those fingers and toes and light those candles. The realtor says that there is a little more activity going on. The sooner I sell this place, the sooner I can settle in Anchorage and invite people to visit.

The goal by lucic really hurts. He really decked out goalie Ryan Miller when he was clearing the puck. That’s just not done. Miller was really injured and Lucic sat out a few games. No big deal to him.

CHobbit: My fingers and toes are crossed for a good showing and for your house to be snapped up.
Took a bike ride around the lakes this morning. Many trees, large branches and a zillion small branches lining the paths. The storms the last three days were powerful. There was a drought when I came in April and now the ground is so saturated that huge trees are blown over.
