Good morning, everyone! Fun video, but what about the dogs that seem to just bite at water? Hey, one movie we didn’t see mentioned that w think is fun is Polar Express. Mom is getting ready to lope to the library for toddler Tuesday.
    HHave a tumultuous Tuesday.

Good morning all. Checking in before heading off to the office.

The study is interesting, but sometimes we wonder who pays for these things and what is the purpose. We know dogs lap up their water, some daintily, and some with exuberance. Picture LouLou or Macy or Darah or Mac. See where I’m going with this?

B&M&L, we really liked your drining comparisons. We do NOT think Darah has learned to lap (8g’s not withstanding). She just bites and schlurps and get everything soaking wet within a 15 foot radius. 🙂

Mom made a super delish soup. She used an Emerill recipe, which includes garlic, onion, carrot, jalapeno pepper. And we topped it with a shrimp salsa. Yumm yumm yumm.

This was especially good in this awful weather day. We are in the middle of a noreaster, and it has been raining heavy, with winds and a raw cold all day. They expect it to change to ice and snow just in time for the morning commute.

I made Turkey ‘soup’ yesterday. The italics are because in order to please Dad it is broth and a tiny little bit of turkey. But that is OK because when we eat it there are lots of veggies added to the broth. Yum Yum

Dawson left today and it was sad. I went out to play with my vintage sewing machine group for a late lunch and when I came back there was a box on the porch for Dawson. She missed it by a few hours. It is from Lucini Italia and she said I could open it because half of it is for Me me me. I can’t wait.

We watch it every year, along with White Christmas, Miracle on 34th Street, and of course It’s A Wonderful Life, and Scrooge on Christmas Eve. BTW, the theme for our Christmas Party this year is It’s A Wonderful Life.

I am admiring all the cooks on the blog.

So…I had agreed to temporarily foster a mama cat with 3 kittens. Imagine my surprise when I got a mama cat with 6 kittens. Big difference and I am a bit unhappy about it. However the nice part is there are 3 calico kittens and I am a sucker for calicos. From experience I know it is going to be hard to keep them in the room when I go in to check on them or feed them. The mama is semi-feral so she will be wanting to escape also. (The small litter ended up with someone else.) I have to be careful in the future about agreeing to things.

I can’t believe the package came just after I left. Not that I could’ve fit it in my luggage without rearranging everything. The airline checkout person was impressed with the weight of my suitcases. Exactly 50 pounds! Well, 50.3 by their scales which were obviously off by .3. They even checked my wheeled carry on bag for free.
I won’t get to my destination until most of you are fast asleep as it looks like I have enough time to have supper before I catch the little plane to Bellingham. I will be dog tired by then.

    IMPORTANT BOOTIE NEWS

There has been no bootie news for so long that I had to relearn how to figure out the matching funds etc.

There has been a 25.00 donation to the bootie fund by another wonderful Plunderer. With that donation and the match we moved up to a total of 1095 Bootie bucks! WONDERFUL!

We are getting very close to the next prize which I bet you don’t remember…heh. This is it, the beautiful Raven keychain.

AND we still have 25.00 of matching funds to work with. So think about it if you have time between fighting the crowds at your former favoriet stores. That keychain could be a nice gift for someone. Maybe even yourself!
