Everyone Talks About the Weather …
… but no one ever does anything about it.
Until now!

Good morning all. Cute video. I think King is friendly and needs an active family to adopt him.
8:05 am on December 2nd, 2014
Good morning, everyone! Good dog, King! We are ROFL 🙂 Getting ready to go to the library. CHobbit, when you see the nephew, grab him by the pant leg to get his attention first.
Have a trusty Tuesday.
8:59 am on December 2nd, 2014
Hobbit, I think we all like to be acknowledged and thanked when we go out of our way for others. It takes so little effort to say thank you, I appreciate you. Hope the nephew steps up.
Off for a day at the office. Have a good day everyone.
9:44 am on December 2nd, 2014
Go King!
Good morning all.
9:48 am on December 2nd, 2014
OH’s (from last night), Mom says that Gus will be the model for the picture. She was going to have one done of him last year but other things happened so now she is very excited. She still remembers seeing the drawing GLAD did of Kirby T.
Kat, sorry you didn’t win your quilt hangings. Lot of stiff competition on the Siber front. I had to fight TeddyRR’s Dad tooth and claw for the picture of Tenzing.
Hope SiberH’s Dad is doing better.
11:05 am on December 2nd, 2014
Way to go, King!!!
Hobbit, and Everyone: We Howlers appreciate you lots!
BooBear, Kat is getting over her disappointment. But she wil be upset all over again when she figures out whose portrait will be done with our win. Mom and Pop both voted for Annie, the beautiful Arab mare and Mom’s pride and joy.
Sending love to Siber-H and his folks.
11:13 am on December 2nd, 2014
Thinking of Our Pal Siber-H and his family everyday…sending Positive Thoughts and Prayers. I hope he knows how much we all miss him.
BooBear & O’Howlers: Looking forward to seeing the finished Portraits of Gus and Annie.
C.Hobbit: Good Grief. You might as well be the hired help. Tell Sadie to grab your nephew’s pant leg and Shake a response (hopefully a Thank You) out of him!
By this time I think We All Agree…Please, please to the powers that be…we understand about the No Uploading to the Friends of Chet Gallery…Just remove the current FOTM for Dog’s Sake!
11:52 am on December 2nd, 2014
If we had to be stuck with a FOM for such a long time, it’s too bad it wasn’t one of us!
11:55 am on December 2nd, 2014
Bear!…You are wasting your Bad-Bear-Breath…heh!heh!…We are stuck with ugly Ham forever and ever…sniff!…Until the blog explodes that is.
12:09 pm on December 2nd, 2014
T & G, How is Basil The Stalker doing? Incidently, you asked if Barb was going to leave the table top unpainted. She decided to paint only the top, and leave the base natural. Not finished yet, but it looks really good!
12:11 pm on December 2nd, 2014
I took some photos of my kitties and emailed them to myself. They showed up on my computer as junk mail. Heh.
Off to exercise then I have to shovel snow.
12:15 pm on December 2nd, 2014
Today’s quote (Wikipedia attributes it to Charles Dudley Warner – not Mark Twain) seems appropriate for the state of the world today.
King is a very enthusiastic dog. Hope he finds an active forever home.
My heart is with SiberH and family. You guys bidding on Staff’s beautiful Siber wall hanging made him proud, I am sure.
By the way, Kat. There is more of that sled dog fabric and I’m sure there will be more items up coming in future boutiques and auctions worthy of your interest.
Poor Hamilton! It is not his fault he got stuck as FOM for months! It could be worse. It could’ve been a bird!
12:22 pm on December 2nd, 2014
Greetings all. Guess we were premature in our excitement to see a new FOM. sigh….
Just got off the phone with a reporter. The paper wants to do a follow up article about brother and his generosity to local charities, even though he himself had so little. sniffle….
And we just have to share this one with you:
Shot my first turkey yesterday!
Scared the s— outta everyone in the frozen food section. It was awesome!
12:22 pm on December 2nd, 2014
What’s this? a Weatherdog? I don’t think so! – Weatherkat
Okay, Dawson, I guess you are right…it is NOT Hamilton’s fault he is stuck up there…like Riö says, forever and ever and ever.
12:41 pm on December 2nd, 2014
T & G, What an honor for your brother.
Does anyone know any more about Siber’s dad?
T & G, LOL
12:59 pm on December 2nd, 2014
Tupper&Gilly: Nice that the reporter wants to do the Article on Brother’s Generosity. We are sure he is smiling on the Other Side of the Bridge. sniff.
Whoa! The Annual Turkey Shoot has never been easier!
1:26 pm on December 2nd, 2014
Tupper’s Mama, we are ROFL:)
1:34 pm on December 2nd, 2014
I am also thinking of Siber-H’s family and also ML and her family. And Boo Bear and T&G. And Zoe and Martha. Sniff. It has been a hard year for the Plunderers.
The last couple of days I have been eating crackers and candy which are not part of my usual fare but it was something to snack on while I painted. Today I went and put on my swimsuit to go to aquacise and I could barely get in it. Really! All it took was three days of a few candies and crackers. So no aquacise or yoga today and I just got in from an hour of shoveling deck, dog yard and driveway.
2:02 pm on December 2nd, 2014
CHobbiti: Yeep! One would think the shoveling of the white stuff would be more than enough to keep the extra lbs in check.
2:58 pm on December 2nd, 2014
Cloudy and grey, in the low 60’s here. We miss Siber H, and Wolfie, and LL, and Wose, and Teddy and Zeta and Rio and ACatty and Staff and iDawson and MPM Pixie and AJ and everyone else.
3:39 pm on December 2nd, 2014
Soon after I shoveled, snow started coming down again in big flat thick flakes. I have now shoveled a second time. At least I got through October and almost all of November without shoveling which I hadn’t expected.
3:56 pm on December 2nd, 2014
HOH: How can you miss me when I won’t go away?
4:01 pm on December 2nd, 2014
Dawson, are you here with pretty pink cards in your paws? NO, ergo, we miss you. Hey, teach staff and Mr. Fireslippers a civilized game…cribbage. Mom is NOT dragging phase 10 to AK.
4:03 pm on December 2nd, 2014
MMM…listening to CHobbit, it sounds like ther might b a tad bit of snow on the ground in AK. We hope so for the Snowhook A and B teams.
4:43 pm on December 2nd, 2014
Found one of the five lost items I was looking for–in a completely unexpected place. Yay! However, I was searching for a 6th item that I had placed on the list so I haven’t made much progress yet.
4:45 pm on December 2nd, 2014
HOH: It’s a lonesome kind of day. Raw with grey skies spitting snow. Almost dark. WAHHH!!! I want some cheese with that whine! (Or maybe a Strengthening Cocktail!)
5:10 pm on December 2nd, 2014
B’sB, sounds like a good day here too for cheese and a strengthening cocktail after dinner is cooked!
5:18 pm on December 2nd, 2014
Sorry to brag (not) but 60’s days and 40’s nights through Fri. Not great sleeping weather. Dinner tonight is Chicken breasts slathered with mayo/black pepper/and parmesan, broccoli&cauiliflower baked with mushroom soup and onions and scalloped potatoes. Left over pie (if any) for dessert. BSD, enough for you too if you want to blurr on by in about 40 minutes. Heck come one, come all. Mom is used to cooking for a herd (of hounds).
5:24 pm on December 2nd, 2014
Hobbit – we have been doing our snowblowing and shoveling here for years and years. This year, we put our paw down with Gramp and said that we ARE getting someone in to do snow from now on.
After putting up a semi-strong argument, Gramp capitulated and contracted a guy down the street who does snowplowing for some of the other neighbors. We had a pretty good snow the other day – 6 heavy, wet inches. And the neighbor guy came to do the large driveway and sidewalk.
We just got the bill today.
$20
Hooray!!!! We are NEVER shoveling again!
5:39 pm on December 2nd, 2014
We had a hard day unpacking at least a million cartons. Then Loulou also has guard duty overseeing one of the busy downtown streets. This is a very big job. She is totally tuckered out. I am too.

5:40 pm on December 2nd, 2014
Did I hear a Herd of Someones mention DINNER?
5:41 pm on December 2nd, 2014
T&G’s Mama, Whoo hoo for you! If it snows that much here, mom is going back to bed after checking the OLD neighbors.
5:42 pm on December 2nd, 2014
BSD, told ya to get here!
5:54 pm on December 2nd, 2014
Hobbit! Forget aquasize. All that snow shoveling is plenty of excercise!
MPM, poor Loulou. That is an awfully big, stressful job for such a little girl. No wonder she is exhausted.
6:13 pm on December 2nd, 2014
Looks like LouLou is settling in quite nicely. Pretty floors at the new place.
T & G. Josh did snow plowing up until this year. He would also charge $20.00 for a driveway and sidewalk the sizeof yours, or $25.00 if super heavy or the only job in the area. So I would say $20 is a good price. Especially when you think about having to do it by hand. Money well spent.
HOH I have never used mayo on chicken or fish, but I have heard it is a good base before rolling the pieces in breadcrumbs/parm.
6:27 pm on December 2nd, 2014
Barb, they tried to keep as much of the old Bergers department store as possible. The floors had water damage but they finished them up keeping the damage.

6:28 pm on December 2nd, 2014
The foot of snow that fell last night = the Giant hasn’t been able to train yet today because he has spent the last several hours clearing the driveway which to do properly requires a healthy amount of swearing.
6:29 pm on December 2nd, 2014
Here are the old brick walls.

6:32 pm on December 2nd, 2014
My apartment is on the third floor. I have been told that was the lingerie department.
6:36 pm on December 2nd, 2014
MPM, how apropo! Get in the elevator and say things like: Third floor ladies’ lingerie, foundations and nickers…going down!
6:36 pm on December 2nd, 2014
MPM, mom loves your new apartment, especially that exposed brick wall.
6:37 pm on December 2nd, 2014
I think keeping part of the old history is a nice touch. And I can’t believe you have a mirror hanging up already! The lingerie department you say. Are you getting any sudden urges to dress like a Victoria Secret model?
6:45 pm on December 2nd, 2014
The mirror leans against the wall. The movers put it there.
I have so much to do it’s making me crazy.
6:47 pm on December 2nd, 2014
MPM, do NOT go crazy. the new place is lovely! Take your time, make it yours. It is special!
6:51 pm on December 2nd, 2014
Oh, and I have a steel girder that’ s holding the place up.
6:56 pm on December 2nd, 2014
MPM, You have time to get it all in order. Just pace yourself and it will be fun, not stressful. The brick wall has a definite sophisticated, urban feel. You can go modern, eclectic or country with a brick wall in the background.
6:57 pm on December 2nd, 2014
This is not a great picture and sometime later I will try again. This is taken with my iPad looking out my big window into downtown Buffalo. You can see the black cross pains on the window.

6:58 pm on December 2nd, 2014
Let’s see a quick pic of the kitchen. Is it sleek and contemporary like your last kitchen?
6:58 pm on December 2nd, 2014
MPM. – it looks cozy. Cozy is good. Welcome to your new home, and blessings to you.
Barb – Basil is getting over it. Cubby is about as threatening as a cotton ball, so he backs right down, and Basil walks away, snickering to himself.
So- has anyone gotten an iPhone 6 yet? Thinking about getting one. My 4 is dying.
6:59 pm on December 2nd, 2014
Panes, dammit. I’m the one that has the pains.
6:59 pm on December 2nd, 2014
MPM: sorry I didn’t see your old place but love your new place already.
T&G’s mom: my driveway is small enough I can’t justify paying a plowing company especially when they don’t come within 8′ of the garage. And the days of an enterprising teenager are gone. Everyone else has snowblowers but it would be another expensive, mechanical thing to take care of and store somewhere. The big problem is the enormous upper deck and 18 steps to the dog yard. Both of those things wouldn’t be helped by a snowblower or plow service.
7:07 pm on December 2nd, 2014
Barb, here’s the kitchen. It’so big! There are eight boxes on the floor, waiting for me.

7:21 pm on December 2nd, 2014
Much more spacious! I liked your last kitchen, but I like this one even better. Great looking fridge, and it looks like a gas range. I love cooking with gas.
7:23 pm on December 2nd, 2014
Yesterday The movers moved me. I had those million boxes and I couldn’t find a thing. This morning I had a soft boiled egg that I had to eat with a fork. Our gas company hadn’t turned on the gas for my stove yet or I would’ve had a scrambled egg but I did a soft boiled egg in the microwave.
7:29 pm on December 2nd, 2014
An addition kitchen pic from a different angle.

7:46 pm on December 2nd, 2014
MPM. mom whishes her kitchen were as gawgeous as your new one. You don’t have to us it, just decorate it and BRAG!
7:54 pm on December 2nd, 2014
HOH, I wouldn’t use the kitchen at all if I didn’t have to be gluten-free. You and Barb are the biggest cooks here but I would be happy not to have to cook. However, I do have to but I don’t need the kitchen to be this size. I’m just cooking little gluten-free meals for me.
8:00 pm on December 2nd, 2014
MPM: I love your new digs, the old wooden floor, the brick wall and the spacious kitchen.
8:02 pm on December 2nd, 2014
MPM, you are right, Barb is the cook. Mom just throws things at the stove and says, “You’ll eat again tomorrow!”
8:07 pm on December 2nd, 2014
Here’s the bathroom. There’s a spa tub and a steam shower.

8:08 pm on December 2nd, 2014
Bedroom.

8:10 pm on December 2nd, 2014
Can our mom come stay with you for a while? She is drooling over your new digs.
8:17 pm on December 2nd, 2014
Are all the pictures upside down for anyone else or just me?
MPM, No matter how much cabinet space you have, you will fill it up.
8:20 pm on December 2nd, 2014
MPM – we have apartment and gas stove envy. It’s beautiful and looks perfect for you and Loulou.
Good evening, Everybody.
Barb – can you right click on the picture and come up with a list of choices and right click on view image and it shows up right side up? That works for us.
8:21 pm on December 2nd, 2014
HOH, come! I will take you to Niagara Falls. I promised that to my visitors on our trip to Massachusetts also but we had a snow event, governor declared a state of emergency, and a ban on driving.
8:21 pm on December 2nd, 2014
B&M&L right siide up and drop-dead gorgeous hre.
8:25 pm on December 2nd, 2014
MPM, remember, mom was waiting in MA, having flown into Hartford for the PIG meeting (Plunder Investment Group). Ah, Amalia, you are the queen.
8:28 pm on December 2nd, 2014
I didn’t get a view image choice, but I clicked on one called Open link in new window, and that worked. Thank you.
8:33 pm on December 2nd, 2014
MPM, since mom is going to Anchorage in early March, she will have to get together with you about later if NY and TN weather co-operate. Mom has’t been to NY, NJ, RI, DEL, ME, NH, VT, HI. But has been in every other state. Your place would add one more 🙂
8:51 pm on December 2nd, 2014
Going night night now with sweet dreams of MPM’s and LouLou’s new digs swirling in our pea brains. Sleep tight, don’t lt the bed ____ bite.
10:19 pm on December 2nd, 2014
Where are you, Rio?
We are heading off to bed. Night all.
10:21 pm on December 2nd, 2014
Sharon, When were you in North Dakota?
10:34 pm on December 2nd, 2014
Bah!….I’ve been watching someone exercise…sniff!…Let me tell ya, it gets old really quick…grunt!
10:47 pm on December 2nd, 2014
MollysMaw!…We looked at all your photoz in a new window and my friend is oooo’ing and awwww’ing saying one day we will have our own place again….guffle!….Not tonight though. Tonight we are still here…grunt!
10:58 pm on December 2nd, 2014
Sent my nephew a message mid-morning asking about the painting that was done. He finally text me that he liked it and I did a good job. However, it wants the rest of the area that hadn’t been painted done differently. Which is fine as it will be easier for me to finish it.
All but 2 kittens are gone and both of those are spoken for and will be gone by the end of the week. Miss them but they’ve all found good homes. Maybe now I can thing of getting my Christmas cards done and gifts wrapped. Mama cats will be up for adoption after Christmas.
11:11 pm on December 2nd, 2014
Dear CHobbitt
Tut,tut,tut.
Some relatives are just too déclassé to change.
But be assured that we, your adopted family, appreciate and honor all you do.
11:11 pm on December 2nd, 2014
CHobbit!…If you do not get my present and my special card to me because of Kats, I will be very upset and you know what happens to your deck when I become upset…grunt!….Just 2 Kats to Go!Go!Go!…whew!…It’s almost like a Christmas Miracle…heh!
11:36 pm on December 2nd, 2014
Oh Rio…
