Echo Falls (More)

Yesterday the question came up about whether I’d be writing more in the Echo Falls series, of which there are 3 novels at present. The answer is probably not. The publishing business is full of vagaries. In fact, if you can’t take the vagaries get out of the kitchen. I’ve also thought of writing about Ingrid, the 13-year-old main character, when she’s all grown up. But here’s another factor: I love writing in the voice of a certain character whose name begins with C, and don’t want to stop anytime soon.

Today’s post is dedicated to Teddy, in memory.

So sorry about Teddy. Such a lovely boy.

    Good morning all.

Glad that Spence loves writing in Chet’s voice, because I love reading the C&B books.

I hope Wookie is showing Teddy all the ropes on the other side of the bridge.

    Good afternoon to all!

I want to thank everyone for your kind words and thoughts about Teddy. And a special thank you to Peter for today’s dedication. We are still reeling from the loss of our precious boy, but managing day by day to go forward. We are up in Vermont for a few days on a trip that was obviously originally planned with Teddy very much in mind. Indeed, it is quite surreal — this is the first time in sixteen years that we have been in Vermont without either Wookie or Teddy in tow ( or perhaps more precisely to say without us being in tow to Wookie or Teddy). But the warm and caring thoughts from good friends do make it much easier to bear, so thank you again for that.

WATP: We can report that we are supervising your Teddy under the supervision of Wee who is supervised by Wyatt the adopted who is under the oversight of Wookie and Luna at the behest of Beau. So therefore, we need a master plan, a good alibi and the Beausmobile if we are to teach him how to be a proper gentledog.

Dear Woolie and Teddie’s Ma and Paw,
I hope the wonderful memories of the fun times you have had with young Theodore comfort you during this difficult time.
Teddy will always be young at heart in my thoughts.
