Echo Falls (More)

Yesterday there were questions about the order of the Echo Falls series – middle-grade but available to adults with fake ID. Unlike Chet and Bernie, Echo Falls should be read in order: Down the Rabbit Hole, Behind the Curtain, Into the Dark. My first crack at writing for younger readers.

I have some very sad news from here in Chevy Chase. A few days ago we lost our precious Teddy. It happened so very suddenly; he had an accumulation of fluid around his heart most likely caused by a tumor. He just collapsed at home. We rushed him to the best emergency vetinary hospital in the area, but there was nothing they could do to save him and we lost him that evening. We were with him at the end, pandemic restrictions notwithstanding. While we are heartbroken at our loss, we also know how extraordinarily blessed we were for the seven incredibly wonderful years that we shared with him. He was loved by all and he loved everyone, two legged or four legged, with incredible passion and joy.

WATP! We are so very sorry for your loss. This is very shocking and Mom and I are crying as she types for me. She had always hoped that perhaps she would get to meet dear Teddy in person. He was such a beautiful boy. We always loved hearing about his many trips and fur friends. Please take some comfort in the fact the 00Wookie has surely taken him under paw to guide him in this next stage.
    Hugs and purrs from Texas.

Such heartbreaking news! I can’t believe that 7 years have passed. I will always think of Teddy RR as a puppy. Thank you for sharing this with your blog family. We are holding you close today and smiling/crying at the memories that Teddy RR left behind. You were so generous to share him with us.

Grizz and I are devastated to hear about Teddy. We are lucky to have shared several memories with Teddy and his Maw and Paw.

We met Teddy for the first time when he was just a puppy. He was on a trip to Vermont with his folks, and they made a stop to our apartment on the way. I was so excited to meet Teddy! He was a playful and joyous puppy, and I immediately fell in love with him.

Over the years, Grizz and I spent several great times with Teddy and his Maw and Paw. The most special of these times was when we made the trip to DC. Teddy and I were livin’ the dream! During our trip to Mount Vernon, Teddy was the main attraction as we toured the grounds. Teddy was always a good-will ambassador where ever he went, and always drew a crowd.

Teddy was a great dog, who had a great Maw and Paw. The love between the three of them was always evident. Teddy was lucky to have them as parents, and I know his folks felt lucky to have him.

Teddy has a very special place in my heart, and I hope he felt the same way about me.

Sending hugs and love to WATP and WATM.

WATP and WATM: The Bridge has been busy with greeting Teddy. You were with him as he crossed. We were with him, too. His journey was peaceful as peaceful as getting tackled by the Thieves can be. Not to worry, he is Restored to Prime. He is loved. He knows this. The Veil is made thin. The Thieves promise to continue his schooling of how to be an upstanding member of the nation within. They consider him their protege. We apologize in advance.

    Head bumps,
