Ray was wearing a wire? I’d seen wires before in this job. Bernie had even worn one himself on a real dangerous case we once worked involving a cult. No idea what a cult is, exactly, but they had this college kid and the parents wanted her back. A wire is for recording conversations with no one else knowing.
Bernie gave Ray a real hard look. At the same time, he buttoned up Ray’s shirt so the wire no longer showed and said, “What’s up, Ray?”
Ray licked his lips, the way humans do when they’re nervous. I opened up my mouth real wide, not sure why.
“Something to drink?” the bartender said.

B. – Sam has a tail sort of like Rio's except it has lots of hair. Sam's tail is so funny that Mom had to take a pictute. When Sam stands up, her tail goes right up and curls over her back. When she lies down and is resting, it flops down. It's like it's on a string inside her body.

The new fridge is in and so far all my offers to eat the unwanted items have gone unheeded except for some apple slices that were a little past their prime. Melanie's post reminds me of the book Cranford which has a little old lady (Miss Matty?)who was afraid her correspondents would worry upon receipt of a letter. So she would always right on the outside of the envelope something like. "Everything alright here"

Signs!…Oh! She told me that the guy totally believes it is another gal in the office who is pranking him with the signs…snort!…He found the other sign this morning and threw it away, but he left the one on the trash can…heh!… He says it is in a fitting place….booo!….This morning when he left to go get a breakfast burrito she snuck over and stuck a much smaller sign, only a couple inches long on the back of his jacket…grunt!… It’s still there and she can’t wait to see if he will put his jacket on without seeing it when he leaves in just about 20 minutes or so…wheeze! …The little sign says, “Yankees Suck! Actually you should not get mushrooms wet because they get spongy. To peel them just hold the mushroom upside down (with the stem in the air); with a paring knife take one edge of the mushroom and peel it back toward the center of the mushroom. Keep doing that all the way around. Easy.

Mushrooms, tails, pirates and wires. What a day!
Zoë and I got concerned about Dan. When he was standing he was very dizzy for over a minute. He also felt sick and got sick. (yuck, the dogs wanted to help, but we got them out in time) His doctor, here, didn't have any of the information from the hospital and from the rehab.
I did an internet search on every one of his meds and it turns out that 3 different doctors had put Dan on medicine that lowers blood pressure. No wonder his blood pressure was 80 over 50!
Zoë pushed and rattled cages and phones, got the info to the doc, got a really early appointment for Dan (7:30 am) today. So they left at 6:30 am, I did the dogs and the house. We are all exhausted, BUT . . .
His heart is excellent, his lungs are clear, his blood pressure meds reduced.
Whew . . .
So I'm going to bed and will catch up tomorrow!

I'm so glad Dan is ok and once the family figured out what the problem was, it could be easily fixed.
We have seen that happen here time and time again…medical records do not get passed onto the professionals that should have them. The records stay parked and the patient has to carry them to the next doctor or clinic, but the patient doesn't know this.
All of you get some rest and, Newfs, be good Newfs so they can rest.
