Dominique: Perp?

“Been following the saga of this Dominique guy?” Admin says. “Head of the IMF and a leading French socialist politico?”

“Not really,” says Spence. “Been busy with the proofs.”

“For The Dog Who Knew Too Much, or – “

“Yeah. So what’s the thing with Dominique?”

“The lesson,” says Admin, “is we should have been socialists. He stays in $3000 a night hotel suites and seems to have a first-class seat at his disposal at all times.”

“To each according to his needs,” says Spence.

Welcome Lance and Beemer.

Breaking news: There’s a brand new excerpt from The Dog Who Knew Too Much over at the FB page.

Proofs are much more interesting that Dominique (though I would like to know the truth of that matter). Proofs are taking a while.

    Good morning all.

And that isn’t at all what Marx meant.

Good Morning B.Stover! I have no idea what is going on with that situation. Though, if true, the word “entitlement” comes to mind. I don’t think Marx meant that either!

I would be very interested in the PROOFS!!

    The surprise came early!

    First pic . . .

Needs!…”To each according to his needs.”….snort!…I could live by that. But my friend thinks that I think I need way more than I really do….grunt! ….So I am always in need of more food and treats (ice cream!). Walking, I get enough of that. This could be cut in half actually….sniff!….Baths, out completely…dammit!

Perp!….Ole Dom should step down and let one of those other Socialist Marxist French SOB’s take his place… grump!

Now about those proofs. Audrey is probably hanging out where Spence is . . .

Melanie, Is it a new sofa? Not sure since it is under wraps.

Interesting story about the French guy. Evidently he has been caught with his hand in the cookie jar before, but there is also speculation that the current President of France could have set him up. He is said to be unscrupulous.

Frankly the new book is more intereting than those guys.

Then we have Ahrnold, who just admitted publicly that he has a 10 year old love child. Guess Maria hit the roof when sh found out the mother had worked for them for 20 years. Where is her sense of humor?

    Good Morning to All:

Very rainy here in NY. My question is: what is the “OR” that Admin. is referring to?

AND, if this was a staff worker, how could Maria not have noticed she was with child?

That French guy sounds like a real creep.

Rose, Article Barb read this a.m. said she was married at the time and claimed the child was her then husband’s. For some reason Arnold has come out with it now that he is no longer the Gov.

Rose: I was wondering about the “or” also.

There is a sneak preview of Dog Who under “treats” on Chet’s FB page.

I used Rio’s red angry icon on FB but it doesn’t move there.

To clarify: I used the red angry icon because we still have no sun here.

Can’t make out what’s in Melanie’s picture. And I won’t ask what it is….but what is it???

G&BB: As soon as I heard the name Ishmael I thought of Moby Dick: first sentence, “Call me Ishmael.” (From the footnote in my edition: “In accordance with the prophecy of an angel [in Genesis], Ishmael was ancestor of a vast nation, but he and his descendants were visited by a fate that the angel also prophesied: ‘And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man’s hand against him.'”)

    11:16 am on May 17th, 2011

We also think the name Ishy is very cute. Ishmael sounds more like a boy’s name, so do we know the sex of the kitten? Do you have any more clue as to how the kitten got there, or if there were more?

We agree, Maria had her hands full. The four kids seem pretty grounded from the interviews we have seen.

Good Morning Everyone – Here comes the Sun!!!

Barb&Maggie: Hadn’t heard about Arnold’s love child. What was he trying to be – macho man? Is it any wonder Maria wanted a divorce. How disappointing to learn yet another politician has been involved in a extra-marital affair. Now there is another scandal in France. Does the office of public servant automatically entitle these guys to do what they please? I, for one, am thoroughly disgusted with it all. As, I am sure, are all of you.

GusBooBear: We like the name you mentioned, Ishmael. B&M suggested the name Kismet when you first found the kitten. That would be an appropriate name too. Oh, and thank you for posting the photos last night. A precious little face and so small! Truly “God Hears” and it was “Destined” to be yours!

  17. Melanie

Chet: “Dominique Perp” – a perfect name for him!

Sam: (from yesterday) That was a very moving story of the man who lost his wife only to return home to see Angel Cat, who became his life long companion. There is a book called “Dancing with the White Dog”, which deals with this subject. Has anyone read it?

Melanie: What can it be! What Can It Be!! WHAT CAN IT BE!!!

  19. Gus and BooBear
    11:36 am on May 17th, 2011

Looks like the kitten is a boy so Ishmael will work. B, we liked the first sentence u quoted from MD, but that footnote is kinda scary. He’s a real sweety and not afraid of the big cats at all. Mom went back out to the spot she found him and checked for more babies, but didn’t see or hear anything. We guess Toes had sent up a request to the doorkeeper on the Rainbow Bridge and then when he got his answer, felt like he could rest easy. Really, really miss him.

Arnold has always been a ladies man. Guess he didn’t tell Maria before because he knew she would leave on that note. And he wasn’t thru playing politics.

B: I just went to the F/b page, but couldn’t get the “treat” (or chose not to) as it was asking for access to my Facebook information. Guess I will have to wait until September along with Rose.

Quote from Chet on Twitter: “Dominique: perp, oui ou non”

  22. Barb & Maggie
    11:51 am on May 17th, 2011

G & B, Wonder if you will ever hear any more about the kitten’s origin. We like to think that Toes had a lot to do with it.

We think Melanie’s delivery was a sofa, but it could be a large chair. Inquiring minds want to know.

  23. Rose

  24. B.Stover
    12:17 pm on May 17th, 2011

G&BB: Sorry. I didn’t mean to scare you. Since the footnote is quoting Genesis, it’s the Jewish version of Ishmael. I just think that the story and “translations” of Ishmael and Isaac are interesting…possibly the origin of the great divide.

Its Primary Day here in PA. The weather is terrible and seems like the turnout is terrible as well.
Chet: What is the “or….” that Admin is referring to????? What a mystery that slip is!
Melanie: Can’t wait to see the pool. We want to be invited … well not me (Sasha) so much, but Dima definitely and Meashka is a maybe.
G&BB: That kitten is so cute! And we love the name Ishmael…reminds us of The Rocket.

Hi All – I’m back from Sam’s girl’s graduation. Mom said it was lovely – 100 girls in floor-length white dresses all holding bouquets of red roses. It took place in the University of Buffalo’s Center for the Arts. The stage had risers and the girls filled it in beautiful symmetry.

Bee, She has red onions, shallots, chives, radish, mesculin mix, basil and maybe another herb or two. Going to add some bush beans and lettuce. Checks it everyday when she gets home from school. She is a kid that even the non-kid people and dogs would like. Well, most of them anyway.

She went to a fea-market this weekend (not the real ones) and did her own bartering with the sellers. She learned it from Aerican Pickers. She said “You have $2.00 on here, would you consider $1.50?” They were like, Oh sure, for you honey. That kid will go far!

Slave Lake is several hundred miles south and one province over from where I live but all us little Northern towns have a kinship of sorts.
Hooray for Harmon Killebrew: A real class act.

Glad things are calmer tonight in Colorado. We will ask Lily to send some of her special herbs your way, Rio.

We are supposed to finally start getting some warm weather. Maybe upper 70s by this weekend.

Going to go read for a few minutes, check the goatie in the barn, then off to bed.

Hope someone reports on Macy soon.

Yeah – it’s not the obvious choice! but i like a diverse selection of movies and sometimes you just have to watch Vin Diesel in a singlet…and hot cars… I’ve seen all the previous ones (i think, bit hard to tell them apart).

On the other hand i’m going to see Source Code on the weekend, you seen that Rio? Sounds intriguing. It’s directed by David Bowie’s son.

We just finished watching Carl Paladino on the Ed show on MSNBC. This political race in New York’s 26th district is – me and Sam. Yup. We live there. Rachel Maddow, who we love, has been talking about this for at least a week. What we’re not used to is being on the national news. One of the candidates to fill Chris Lee’s spot is a family friend and Sam’s girl and her daughter grew up together. Unfortunately, she has taken a political stance that we don’t support. The election is a week from today and we can’t wait for it to be over. Our newspaper, local news, commercials as nauseum, and now this national stuff. Yuck! Enough already!

Hey Mollypop. I have been paying attention to that. Thanks to Rachel. I am looking forward to seeing what happens there. I bet you are seeing tons of commercials on TV. I hate those political commercials.

Ve think all these “entitled” feeling politicians and actors and sports people who behave in such dispicable manner should be neutered.
And polititions who bombard us vith von commercial after another, each telling lies about the other – ve think they should be locked in room vith endless loop of movie about spiders from Australia.

Nutter!…Butters! With ice cream?…heh!…That just blows my pug mind. I didn’t get any ice cream tonight either. I think there is a conspiracy forming amongst these two. They got their ice cream, but where was mine? ….grump!…I’m not supposed to get any scraps from the table during the day either. What’s up with that?…sniff!….Her mother and I had a good thing going there for a while….sob!sob!sob!

Fire! The snow had all melted but there were no leaves on the trees yet so when the forest fire started it burned all the dried tree branches and underbrush and then the winds started blowing up to 100 miles an hour. The fire was traveling at 6 kilometers an hour which is about as fast as a fire can go. It doesn’t burn everything when it travels that fast but what isn’t burned is smoke damaged. We have lots of forest fires because it gets hot in the summer. Manitoba, though, is flooding right now.

Liz – Vould you actually go out and catch those spiders? You are such brave girl.
Ve vill keep offer in mind. Could be spiders could play part in mission.
    hmmmmm.
Is not true that vorld’s most poisonous spider lives in Australia? Such dangerous place you live.
    both spiders AND vegimite…..
ve vould be terrified, and ve are vorld’s bravest undercover spy!

Dawson: we have a burn ban here in our neck of the woods due to conditions ripe for wild fires. BTW, feel better.

Natasha: Whitey-Lance is a go for the next undercover mission should you need his services.

B Stover: You said a bit ago that you are a fan of Charlie? So am I. A bit about Charlie: He is begat of Twig and Orion (a good match) and is a member of the Little Women Litter—not necessarily a character of Little Women, but I was on a literary theme and named him after Dickens. All leg, he is one of the tallest dogs in the kennel and still bears the slender shape of a yearling. Watching him sit atop his dog house he reminds me of a gargoyle, a watchful sentry of all things kibble and meat. Charlie is one of the few dogs with floppy ears in the kennel, though his flop more than most. He and his brother Fritz, the only two males of the litter ran alongside each other in the 2011 Iditarod.
