Doggerel Tuesday

Why did the Lord give us agility,
If not to evade responsibility?

The Thieves should tell Beau this. It is a perfect motto for them.

    Hello everyone!
We love Ogden Nash poetry .
Mr. big, Is an attendant above or below staff on the respect scale?

Big one, Did you steal our avatar ?

HOH: I may have stolen it. My attendant called me a cat burglar the other day as I was laying on something she was looking for. I am so good at stealing, even I don’t know all the things I am stealing. Maybe I am from the litter of Thieves afterall.

I like the “doggerel.” Wonder if we will have it every Tuesday.

    Good morning all.

Big one, Thank you for the return of our avatar and we agreed that you might be a part of the thieves litter. You are a most considerate thief though.
HRH, I don’t remember the first two lines of the Nash poem called pants but the last two lines are :
You look divine in pants my dear,
    Have you seen yourself retreating?

I have mastered the fine art of counter surfing from the floor to the counter since my attendant was sitting on the bar chair. My attendant saw and said, “oh crap.” I did knock a few things over while walking around but that is her fault for leaving stuff out rather than putting them away.

Can learning to blur be next?

I’ve been missing Denali and spent yesterday walking around looking for him. Attendant mentioned “vet” and “hospital” but the house doesn’t seem right without him. This last few months I have become fond of him and I was caught even sleeping near him a few times. {{{Sigh}}} I even went out on the snowy deck twice to look for him since he likes being outside. My attendant says “3 more hours and we will know.”

Attendant sat me on her lap and while we were cuddling she explained that Denali wouldn’t be coming home. The hospital made him feel much better but his blood work had gotten worse. She said he had gone to a better place to live. What!? I purred as loud as I could to let her know that I thought THIS was the best place ever. She explained that there was a bridge that when crossed, Denali was restored to prime and there was sunshine and catnip and treaties all the time. It sounded really, really good and someday I will look forward to seeing my pal again but not anytime soon, thank you very much. Attendant said the two of us were going to be fine and I have to trust her.

After missing two meals, Sadie ate and is on his feet. Attendant is relieved and I am ok with him eating tuna from my stash. And I am ok with her being on any dog bed she wants to — I have taken over Attendant’s counter chair and she is typing standing up. Flexibility is my new attitude.

I still will be missing Denali for a long time I think {{{sigh}}}I

    Dear Mr. Big and Attendant,

We are sorry for your loss but know that Denali is happy in his new home. He has many friends to welcome him. Take care of each other and Sadie. XOXO

Denali is in our prayers tonight and we will miss him on those times when we go north to see our friends.
Mr. way too big, Sounds like you are mastering lots of new skills and keeping your attendant jumping.
Big one, please believe what blue cat told you and that once the bridge is crossed all will be restored to prime.

Mr. Big and CHibbitz: Denali is indeed Restored to Prime. Bloodwork is no longer necessary. Worry is no longer necessary. What is necessary, is remembering the love you held and hold for one another. The Veil will be Thinned for as long as needed.

Beau: Math tires us out, too. Tell you what…we won’t ask anymore questions that involve math if you promise not to ask us about anything that requires numbers like what was our reed to katnip ratio, or if we want you to dial Maury’s number for our one phone call.
