Dog Days

Spence: Anything special happening this week?

Admin: Not that I’m aware of.

Spence: Whoa! You’ve forgotten our appearance at Eldredge Library, 564 Main Street
Chatham, MA 02633, Thursday at 2:30 – helping them celebrate Dog Days.

Admin: Thanks for the reminder! But other than that, a quiet week, unless I’m missing something.

Morning Dawson and all! Yep, just another ho-hum week. Whatever you do, do it safely and with spirit.

I think the “dog days” of summer are past…unless the celebration is for something else. Sounds interesting anyway.

Very foggy here at the moment.

    Good morning all.

Good morning! Are we caught up yet? BSD says yes. I have no reason to doubt him.

Dawson: Heh! You are up very early!

A beautiful, blue-sky day here in this neck of the woods.

    Laundry is being done.

Perhaps a day trip sometime this week, as the weather will be good.

    Beau: Sorry about the Broncos.

RIO! How many more days until your Friend will be home with you, you, you!?

    Good day to all!

    Good morning all.

    A slow week? We’ll see.

I am shocked and amazed and delighted at Beau’s description of a certain football team yesterday.

A beautiful day in Wisconsin today, also.

I watched a documentary about the 60’s group “The Monkees” on Youtube this afternoon. My siblings and I used to watch their show every week. Now I have this song stuck in my head:

2:49 pm on November 7th, 2016 A foggy morning. I like the fog as long as I do not have to drive in it. It makes everything soft and quiet. We have had some foggy mornings around here the last few weeks.

I wouldn’t mind being in Chatham this afternoon. We were there in September, just a few days to early for Yuji to hit the beach.

My son’s first girlfriend in college was a big Monkees fan. Donna unfortunately once referred to them by their nickname at the time – “The Prefab Four.” Bob was better off without that girlfriend anyway.

Sadie is having a usual vet visit. Except for slipping her collar as she was being led away for blood work and uranalysis, she is being a good dog. Oh and sitting down when the vet needed her standing up.

Trivia. It was Mike Nesmith’s mother who invented the correction fluid “Liquid Paper”.

So…vet brought Sadie back along with her laptop which showed an ultrasound photo of her bladder with a significant mass. When I moved here 3 years ago, Sadie started showing blood when she went to the bathroom. I spent months and hundreds of dollars trying to find out the source and also trying different treatments. No cause was found and no treatment stopped the blood. Last year the ultrasound showed nothing and a cancer test came back negative. I am having the test redone and will know the answer in a few days. Sadie has shown no additional symptoms or changes. The only thing I’ve noted is that she is sleeping more. I will keep you posted

We had snow but slowly it has disappeared. Today we had ice rain. but that will melt quickly with the warmer weather we’ve been having.

We are watching Alladin with Robin Williams. 😀

Oh my, I am so worried about Sadie!

Miss Addi had a G tube installed today. Finally! I thought she should have had it installed about three weeks ago. Poor thing hasn’t been able to keep anything down. I am hopeful that this will help her turn the corner.

    Keeping Sadie in my thoughts.

My cold is much better. I am at the nasty noisy sniffy part of it now. Lots of blowing of the nose. But it did not go down to my chest so I am feeling A-OK.

Tomorrow tomorrow I can’t wait for tomorrow to be over. Yeep.
