Good morning, Friends. Yesterday, Mom booted us off her computer early because her “work” got super busy. We just read thru what we missed. Oh Rebecca, we are so very sorry for your loss. Thank you for doing right by Howard. We have asked our big brothers Boris and Misha to look out for him and play with him on the Rainbow Bridge until you and he are reunited.

Another word of caution: Don’t put deep fryer too close to the house or garage. Also,don’t put frozen turkey into fryer.

Hi everyone – no voting success for us either and we sent an email to SK asking about that.
Funny that we could send the email from their site, click on the “send” button and get a confirmation that the email was sent, but we can’t vote.
Its a conspiracy we tell ya! Its them dam goats!
Off now to pack the last of the work for the show this weekend. Mama is kind of breathing a sigh of relief that she will be sitting in a comfortable hotel room on TGD, with no worries about if the bird is done, if the taters are lumpy, if the veggies are still crisp tender. They are planning a very low key day, sleeping late, sitting around in their jammies, watching parades and movies and eating junk. Bliss.

Just got an email back from SK – they are asking about what server we use (IE) and they say that the voting block is a pop up, so you have to have pop ups eneabled to be able to vote.

MP’sM – we used our iphone and were able to vote, but even with our laptop pop up blocker disabled, we couldn’t use it to vote. When we used the iphone, the request for name and email popped in, but we did not get a confirmation when we closed.
Glad Gina is on top of it and posted on the blog. SK sure does seem like a real “people” company. Just wish we could get this voting thing straightened out.

MagPie – My techno days are over. The O. Howlers are our big techies – just take a look at their web site.
Twenty years ago I was married and we built a new house. Before the walls we closed up, my husband ran 5 miles of cable in the walls. We had a totally computerized house, which was pretty advanced considering how long ago that was. There was a light meter outside, so when it started to get dark, the lights and living room lamps came on gradually. Lots of stuff like that. Like all computer programming, there were glitches. One of the outside lights was too close to the light meter. It got dark out, the light meter said turn the lights on and close the drapes. The light meter then said, oh it’s light out now so turn the lights off and open the drapes. Over and over again.

Dawson is starting to make her toffee. Usually she makes it with chocolate and I can’t eat it. Today she is making it with white chocolate. OH goody! Of course I should NOT eat it, and it is probably better that she make it with the chocolate chocolate. Heh. But I will bet I will eat it.

I’m back home. News for the day.
The new stove is in and working!! The dishwasher will not be!! Now they want to deliver it Friday. That’s not going to happen because that’s when we’re having Thanksgiving! Maybe Saturday.
I have been getting The Pack’s meds, the Humans’s meds, the Car’s gas, some frames, and the Gluten Free delights, I mean diet stuff.
One apple pie, one pumpkin pie, 2 breakfast breads, 1 cookie box, flat bread, fudge AND the cake for Thursday (not our Thanksgiving) is a pumpkin cake with butter cream frosting sitting over a disk of chocolate with Apricot filling.
Our baker asked if that was okay. Snort!

Melanie, Mom just got back from that big store that dogs love to go to and she says she saw the biggest Newf EVER!! Of course, he was in winter coat so that made him look even bigger. But he was chocolate brown! We don’t remember you saying that was an acceptable Newf color. Anyway, the Newf’s mom said he was two years old. Are Newf’s mature by then or is it possible that this fellow will fill out even more!!??

My box of quilled cards arrived today — exquisitely designed and crafted by Rio’s friend. They are absolutely objects of beauty! I am going to decorate our Christmas tree with them. Rio’s friend is a true artist, and I hope she delves further and further into her art — she is so talented. Would one of you please put my praise on the blog? I want her to be so encouraged by her success that she will keep creating beauty. (And the box they were in was gorgeous, and my autographed photo was so appreciated.)

B, no. It’s not at all like fried chicken. No breading. The turkey is marinated by injecting Italian dressing (that’s what we use) and spices are rubbed on the skin. Deep fried for a period of time per pound and voila!! The best, moist turkey EVER. Mom’s mom used to bake turkey and it was good. Dad started frying turkey and we’ve never gone back. Of course, it means that you can’t make true stuffing by baking inside the bird but we never cared for stuffing anyway so it’s a win/win for us.

On the back it says “Stormy Kromer 1903” and I bought it through Amazon. There is no other name or number on it. It looks just like the one Rebecca has.

Here is a great great dane. He was bought as the runt of the litter. Now full grown he is 7 feet long from nose to tail and weight 285 pounds. He’s in the Guiness Book of Records as the biggest dog in history.

Decorating a tree with the cards sounds like a wonderful idea. We were thinking that we really don’t want to give ours away either, so that is a great solution.
