Crazy Heart – Review (Corrected)

SpencerQuinn-TwitterChat

We saw Crazy Heart last night – me, Bernie, Suzie. No roles for me and my kind that I saw, but I wasn’t watching the whole time. Pretty good movie, though, all about country music. We’re into country music, me and Bernie, especially old-time and those Texas singer-songwriters like for example Stephen Bruton. And Bernie says Stephen Bruton wrote a lot of the Crazy Heart music before he died. He also said the main character is kind of like Stephen Bruton. A bit hard to follow, all that. “Life imitates art,” Bernie said. “And right back the other way,” said Suzie, giving him a playful punch. I gave her a playful shove. “Easy, big guy,” said Bernie.

We had fun at the movies.

Chet, so glad you had fun at the movies. Hmm. I haven't been to a movie theater in years. I do love my instant stuff that comes over the computer though. I'm catching up on old BBC mystery series.

Had to tell you . . . I don't twitter and was trying to figure out how I was going to lurk and listen to Mr. Quinn.

Then I hit that Simon & Schuster poster thing by accident.

All I can say now is "Duh"

Zoe is yelling at the pack this morning. They are in trouble. Counter Surfing is not allowed.

Your movie night sounds fun Chet! My pack actually took me to a drive-in movie two summers ago. It was really fun, we got there early, saw all kinds of other dogs, and had snacks. Then when it got dark I just fell asleep in the car! I think the movie was "The Dark Knight", I remember lots of loud noises before my eyelids got real heavy.

Uh oh, now my Mom feels really dumb – she doesn't Twitter either, and when she clicked on the widget thingy, it just popped up in another window – does she have to join twitter to listen? We'd really like to listen to Mr. Quinn, Help!

Oh, I just thought of a funny story about another fawn pug that looks just like you Rio. Where my Grandma lives in a big building, there's a lady in one of the offices that keeps her pug there all day, every day. He's sort of like a mascot I guess. He's OK, but a bit spoiled and high and mighty for my taste. Anyway, I was listening to my pack talk about his name to another office lady. His name is "Fu". My younger brother knows a lot about Asian stuff, so he volunteered that Fu is Cantonese for good luck and is also associated with some marial arts schools. I think there was some talk about other Chinese stuff, but I forget. Anyway, the office lady we they talking to bursts out laughing and says "All this time I thought 'Fu' meant 'F.U.'!". Humans – they don't even understand their own language, if they just used body language like our nation, they'd be in a lot better shape! Tailwags, Cosmo

ps – I forgot to mention, great photo of Alice and the pheasant. That George sounds pretty nasty! We get wild turkeys in our yard all the time, but they're afraid of everything. Molloypop can you post a photo of you?

FU! I know I'd like to hang-out with that guy. Hey Chet, how come Audrey never posts anything? I bet she has a story or two to tail.

Laughing at myself. . . So I finally figure the whole twitter thing out. Guess what's tomorrow and NOT today. So the poster thing is wrong. Tuesday is 2/2!!!

    S&S needs a new calendar.

Cosmo – here I am. At this moment I'm after a fuzz-butt that Mom calls a squirrel. She bought me a toy fuzz-butt and you should see me give him the what-for.

Maybe you and I could get together and chase that big George bird – oops, Mom says don't even think about it. Vet bills.

If you go to the right of the page there is a

"follow: Twitter" thingy. Press that and you get to Chet's twitter page.

Yes, you have to join, but it's free and if you just want Chet, don't add anyone else to your account.

Then I discovered you have to actually press some link on the email they send you saying you've joined.

Hopefully this will all work tomorrow. Someone already had Melanie, so I took Newfsrule for my user name.

    Imagine that.

I've seen movies before, with the whole family, with mommy, and with Megan. I like it better with Megan. Mommy screams too much, and sometimes watches boring movies, all black and white. Wait a second- I could only see black and white! Eh, they're still boring. Megan watches good, scary, funny, nice, dramatic-whatever that is- movies. Oh, and she wondered if the Chet and Bernie adventures is being made into a movie. Is it? That'd be awesome!

Crap!… I still don't know what's going on tomorrow..a simple question, no one can answer it… And more bad news! The "Pampered Pets Doggie Dude Ranch" burned down last night. No fire hydrants near the place. Nine of our guys were in there.. no survivors. What a crappy day.

Rio…what a serious bummer! Mom always freaks out when she hears about any kind of animal that's been injured or killed, so we'll have to calm her down. Imagine how the people must feel who left their "babies" there for a day or a weekend.

    Awesome pic, Mollypop!

Oh no Rio, I'm seriously sad right now, and my Mom is on the verge of crying, that's just so unfair, those poor guys….on the brighter side, Mom just signed up for twitter, she really didn't want to what with this blog, email, facebook, and three of her own blogs – it's getting ridiculous! Just follow Melanie's directions above to set up an account. Thanks Melanie! Then I guess we come back to Twitter tomorrow at 1:00. Mom is scheduling her day around this! Any other helpful hints? Thanks for that post Mollypop, wow, you're beautiful! I love those furry butts too, also the chipmunks. I have a stuffed one too, and I've busted one of the squeakers, love it.

    Poor Rio,

Tomorrow the 'author' of the Chet and Bernie books will be 'live chatting' on Twitter. If you clik on the notice just below the title at the top of this post you will learn more.

Staff has to work tomorrow so she is bummed. However she says..Tweet On. She is trying to pretend she knows something about twitter.

    Did it work?

Great picture Mollypop. I am glad I am your friend. I would like to chase squirrels too. Too bad I only get to watch them through the windows. Cheeky little fuzz butts.

Poor!?… When I click on that link it comes up with a blank screen and then when I close the useless blank screen it blows away everything. But…mmmmm..hey, thank you A-Kat. You are the ONLY ONE who would help me today. I have a new appreciation for your kind. Or at least for you…today.

Got our business cards today!!!Yeah!! It's the first time EVER we had had mail come addressed to US and not to Mom or Dad. Thanks, Chet, Bernie, Spence and Admin!!

Our Mom doesn't know anything about Facebook, Twitter or any of that Techno stuff. We had to make her set us up to converse with you guys on this blog. Of course, at her other job (her main job being taking care of Us and our siblings) access to those things are blocked on her computer. Somehow, Chet's blog is available so she gets to check it somethimes during the day.

Chet, does Bernie ever listen to old Marty Robbins Gunfighter songs/ballads? We bet he would like singing some of those to Charlie by the fire!

Hey Rio, not sure if you'll get this comment before the new post this am, but if you want to try the twitter thing one more time…Mom says to scroll up to the very first comment by Melanie, then look to your right. You'll see the phrase "Catch me on". Underneath that you'll see what those techie humans call "widgets". The first one says "follow, twitter", underneath that it says "join our group, facbook", under that the red signature. You want to click on the first widget that says "follow, twitter". Then a blue bacground screen will come up with a message that says "Hey there, Chet the Dog is using twitter" with a little bird to the left. You'll also see a green button in the upper right that says "join today". You want to click on that button and follow the directions from there. I hope this helps and you're able to work it out for the chat today. If not, I'm sure Spence will have one another time. Good luck! Tailwags, Cos

ps – next time I see Fu, I'll tell him you said "hi"
