Country Music

Is anyone watching the country music documentary on PBS? We’ve long been interested in the subject – as any reader of Heart of Barkness, the latest Chet and Bernie novel will know – so this might be a good time to link to Song For Chet, a real country music song that came from the book. (The song is also available from all the streaming services.)

    Greetings!

I have not been watching the “Country Music” series by Ken Burns, but I saw a news interview with him. It looks very interesting…

Grizz and I are Boston bound!

    Make it a good day!

We are watching here in the north country. Mr. is a big bluegrass fan and a lot of the early bluegrass legends were considered country bands.

    I love Ken Burns documentaries.

Hi, guys! What a week! Mom and Aunt went back to Houston to see their other sister on Sunday but at least came home after only one night. So, she is forgiven for leaving us. Yesterday, she has to go and get her drivers license renewed. State of Texas said she needed a new picture. She had to stand in line for HOURS in mid 90 degree heat. She has added respect for people who have to work in heat like that! Then today, she had to take my older fur brother to the v-e-t because he has stopped eating. Like I said, what a week!

Glad the new book is out. Mom is almost through rereading the Bowser and Birdie series, then a new Queenie and Arthur book to read! The week will end on a great note!!

Mom has been recording the Ken Burns series. It is very interesting and very well done. She has only watch one episode so far and it wasn’t the 1st in the series. She will have to go back to the earlier parts.

Mom and Aunt have been watching DVDs of old Perry Mason TV series. She didn’t realized quite how racy they were (a lot of cheating spouses, etc)!
