Good Morning! Our Pack is reunited. That young upstart Kat came back home all full of herself, but Meashka cut her back down to size when she tried to mess with the “bully stick” bone. Heh heh
Spence is doing a signing today! In Massachusetts!!! Now why didn’t those guys stay up there for that. We were managing the homefromt and taking care of Pop just fine.

Hmm, we live on the west side of MA and Spencer lives on the Cape. It is summer. There are only two roads onto the Cape. Traffic is carpola there!

Mom decided it is much too hot to ride horses in that Jeopardy Ride. So we are all relaxing on the porch with coffee, tea, and newspaper. Kat is resting her eyes by their side.
Youse should have seen the happy reunion last night, especially when Kat threw herself into Pop’s arms, yipping/yarking like crazy. Mom was hurt because we didn’t fuss over her when she got out of the car; we just wanted Kat out. We <3 our Kat.

Yes, they are running. The turtleman was faster than his wife for many years but I do remember she beat him in a Marathon about 5 years ago and he talks about it still.
He is called the turtleman because he has had turtles as pets for over 40 years. Make that 50…ouch. I know he had a box turtle when we moved up here from Indiana in 1961.

I have finally caught up on the blog. I had no wifi for my iPaw so I had to wait until I got back to Sam’s, where I am now. I will say lots more later and pictures to come, but Sam’s Mom has some things she’s making me help her with. Can’t she see I’m resting?

Hey everyone – so, our house is back to “normal” with just us and the Wrotten Kats. No more company…..sigh.
That was just the most fun we have had in a long time. But now it’s kinda sad. We want MPM and OHM to live so much closer so we can do this all the time.
Wanna hear something funny? MPM asked our Mama if she ever heard from the CL and what was happening in CLL. Mama told her that she had kept her distance, and her boundries, and hadn’t set foot back in there, nor had she heard from CL.
The next day, after bringing Rebecca to the airport, they stopped at Costco for a minute. Got out of the car, walked thru the door and ran face to face into CL!
When Mama left in Jannuary, CL was going to tell the other employees the following week that the place was for sale. Then she was going to wait a week or two to tell the members. So, in a five minute conversation, Mama found out that:
~CL hasn’t told the members yet (tho it is on the main company web site, for anyone to see if they look)
~CL has not hired anyone to take Mama’s hours – everyone is still “filling in”
~CL still hasn’t sent the manager for a training certificate that she was supposed to get last February, and HAS to have before September (its a 3 week course)
~CL has a new grandchild that requires some of her time, in addition to the one she babysits 3 days a week.
~etc. etc etc
MAma walked away, and told Dad that this is exactly why she doesn’t even go to CLL to visit! The chaos that constantly surrounds CL is toxic!
But today, Dad is off to a Strawberry Ceremonial Gathering at a friend’s reservation, so he will come home happy. And Gramp is seeing friends that he likes, so he will come home happy. And we have Mama all to ourselves and she is taking the day OFF so we are happy. Its just Mama who seems just a little sad today.

What a terrific cake. Kat asked us to add to her play-by-play. She completely forgot to tell you that she actually met Dan and Zoe! And they were exactly as she thought they would be. She said she would have known Zoe even if she had just bumped into her all alone on a busy street. What a warm, lovely couple they were. Dan loved it when Mom told him how much she loved White Wing.

Mom bought a “new” hutch and dining room table. Then she found a solid oak table in the classifieds that she liked better. ($100!) It needs some stabilizing, but once that happens, dad is going to put together moms new John Flynn quilting frame. Well, it isn’t really new, mom bought it a year and a half ago, but we didn’t have a table big enough to use. Mom has about 10 quilted tops that are ready to go. So it is Turing out to be a very nice day.

So I got lost on my way to the hotel. My car of fine German engineering doesn’t have fine German electronics. It actually took me to two wrong places. Basil and Sage would have come to my aid but their Mama got me on the right track first. I lost an hour when we could have been yakking it up.
We had a lovely dinner party at the Royals’ house. Kat, a very thoughtful dog, brought a dog cake that was a big hit. There was enough cake for the Newfs who were waiting at home.

Behaviour!…His weak behavior is undermining years of work that I have done….grump!…I was with him when he was growling, but once he caved and acted like a wimp I gave up on him…grump!

Staff: I was thinking the same thing. Beau, the Bible quoting pug seems to have an attachment to his friend’s mom.

Nope!…He was owned from a puppy on by the same goof-ball and her goof-ball family since he was a puppy…snort!…He likes her mother because of the cheese, crackers, zingers, cheetos, ice cream, peanut butter, bolony and all the other crap he can get his jaws around during the day…gruffle!

Thirty days hath June. Well we didn’t think of that so we’re a day late and a dollar short as it seems we’ve been for too long. It does look as though things are coming together with the renovation of the new space and that the store will be opening soon. Then my life may get some semblance of order again. In any case we’re here at 5:30 AM on the second to upload the July calendar page before we start spinning our tires on another
day of “retirement”. Though we haven’t been following along, we do think of all of you and wish you well.
