Barb bought a hard copy book at a garage sale for 50 cents the other day. Thought it looked interesting – The Last Good Man by Kathleen Eagle. The author is married to a Lakota Sioux and writes books set in the west. Book cover says If you liked the Horse Whisperer you will love this book. The writing is good, but haven’t gotten too far into it and there has already been some erotica. Barb prefers books without too much explicit detail. In other words, she has not read Fifty Shades of Gray. Has anyone ready any of Eagle’s books?

No the problem is not solved. This is the only site we have been able to use all day. Once we opened it successfully we were afraid to shut it down. When we go on Yahoo to read email these pop ups keep coming every 30 seconds or so, asking us to download different programs. Then when we hit no, it freezes the computer and we have to shut off the whole thing. Not enough techno knowledge to figure it out. It all started when we tried to download Quick Time and Flash Player.

Good morning all. Mom and dad spent a long day in two different emergency rooms yesterday. My boy Chad was having chest pains, and our local ER transported him down to the big city hospital by ambulance. Our first, and only thought was that his body was reacting negatively to his lifestyle, and we were right.
In a way, it was sort of funny. The phone rings, and Chad said, “Mom, I think I’m having a heart attack!”.
” Really? Highly unlikely. What did you use last night? Really? Well, if you get out of breath when you pace, perhaps you should sit down.”
“Mom, I’m really scared.”
” Son, email a photo to me. Hmmm, you look fine. Good color, you’re alert, call me later if you don’t feel better.”
Mom was not feeling warm and fuzzy, not when it came to sacrificing a full day of a long weekend.
The only good thing was that it gave him a real scare.
At any rate, he’s fine, and it gave him a good scare.

Dog, these City Folk don’t know who to relax. They have tired out the Pack. First they did the walk / run with the Pack. The Pack came home to rest, and the City Folk went for a walk down near an old mill. They came home and did a lot of tummies. They walked the property. Did more tummies. Met with some GREAT visitors. Started dinner. Went for a walk over to the bridge. Ate dinner. Went down the street with Zoë and me on our walk.
Cleaned the kitchen. Now they are out looking for mountain lions.
The Pack are on their backs waiting for more tummies.

Our Lady is very excited today. She says next month she gets the chance to take her Plunderer Passport out for a test drive when she gets to meet BearSpiritDog and Katdog, Masquer’s mom. Back nome. After 6 hours with 15 7-year olds, Barb is pooped. The magician was actually quite entertaining. All children consumed mountains of sugar, so glad we don’t have to deal with them tonight.
Rain held off till the party ended. One family brought their Cavilier King Charles Spaniel, who was a bit neurotic. She hunted flies and bees for hours on the deck, paying no attention to any of the 2 leggeds who were calling to her. Are they usually like this? She was a little goofy but cute.

They are back from the sweat fest, it was 102 at 7 pm. BUT, there was free beer, margaritas, and food, plus music and shopping. (well, more like looking).
I had a very scary incident tonight. While eating my dinner, I got choked. I upchucked but I was still choked. I started rolling around and flopping and…well, things got messy. Mom was yelling for dad, but by the time he got there I was breathing ok. The bad part was, we had super special dinner tonight and someone else ate mine while I was dying. How rude!!

Mom wanted me to assure everyone that she left a private nurse behind for me. Ok, so it was just our girl Angie who lives here anyway. Mom says that it is funny you mentioned the heimlich because that is exactly what she was trying to figure out how to do when I started breathing ok. I think she might have flopped me over a couple of times in her hysteria. Now that the kennelled ones have gone to bed, mom is going to fix me a tasty bowl of…dry kibble, gah. That just ain’t right.
