I agree with the NY Post article. Conan, as well as all other military dogs who are injured during the line of duty should receive the Purple Heart.

Grizz and I would like to wish Wookie and Teddy’s Paw the happiest of birthdays!

Very cold here today, and some kind of mixed precipitation is expected Thursday into Friday. I hope Grizz gets a work from home day!

    Make it a good day!

Yes, it’s true, one year older as of today. Thank you for the birthday wishes. Took a wonderful hike earlier in the day on one of Teddy’s favorite trails. Lots of running, exploring and wading in the water are believed to have happened, although as if often the case on days like today, it ended with a bath and wonderfluffing for one otherwise stinky dog.

Mama here. We have been pulling double shifts at the Bridge for several days. It started with the World Series. The Thieves are please the couch cushions sales went so well. Beau was pleased with their initiative until he realized the cushions fell off a truck.

Last week we welcomed Elim, Tenzing’s best pal and the Giant’s co-pilot to This Side of the Bridge. Elim is Restored to Prime, but we fear the Giant’s heart will never be the same. The Thieves showed Elim all the secret passages through the Veil shortly after he arrived on This Side. He disappears quite often which leads me to believe he is making good use of this Thief imparted knowledge. Thanks to a character reference from Wookie, Elim received a pass from bible study for time served keeping an eye on the Giant.

On Saturday Bev, MaBella was rushed to the ER by Coach, the person not the dog. After 3 kat scans an other tests she was rushed into surgery. After a call from Coach that the outlook wasn’t good, my Lady booked one of the last tickets on what would be a full flight. She traveled through the night and arrived at MaBella’s bed side in the ICU yesterday morning. My Lady will stay with Bev for at least this week. If you can include her in your prayers and good thoughts, we’d appreciate it. It will allow us to give Slim Jim breaks to the prayer and Veil crews tending to her. I have the special assignment of spending time her her heart while she sleeps.

Hey everyone! We found a way to use the voice control on mom‘s computer.
Happy birthday to Wookie and Teddy‘s paw.
Mom is doing somewhat better after her brain fart and will try to check in a little more frequently than once every six months.
Spencer has done it again with the two new books.

Wookie and Teddy’s Paw, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Sounds like you spent your day in the best possible way!

HOH! So glad to hear from you and hope your mom is feeling better and better.

And hugs and prayers to all the Snowhook crew. So sorry to hear about Elim crossing the bridge and strong prayers for MaBella. Very glad to hear that Snowbella was able to get there. But very tough that both AJ and his Lady aren’t together when both need each other’s support.

I think military working dogs should totally be eligible for the Purple Heart and any other awards given to the two leggeds.

W’s & T’s Paw: Many happy returns! And many more.

Luna: Thanks to the Thieves for showing Elim the secret passages through the veil. Elim was one of Snowhook’s great lead dogs and truly born to run. Thanks Elim for taking such good care of the Giant on the trail runs and the road trips.

SnowBella: Many caring thoughts and prayers will be sent to and for you and MaBella during this very hard time.

HOH: Hooray! Voice control, eh? I don’t have a clue what that is but it is great to see you back!

It is snowing and blowing and altogether nasty weather here tonight.

Fervent prayers offered for Snowbella and MaBell. Elim was very special. I recall him modeling dog coats prior to one of the Iditarod races.

    Happy day to W&T’s paw.
