Through my secret agent connections, I was able to get us two tickets for the Rockies opening day game against the dreaded Snakes (Diamondbacks) !!!!!!!!!!!! I am packing up the Wookiemobile right now with all the necessary supplies (including some of those yummy wings from Wednesday night that I was able to sneak away with) and I will be by to pick you up in a couple of hours. Have your little knapsack packed and be by your front door when I get there. The game starts at 2:10 pm MDT and we should be there in time to see Ubaldo throw out the first pitch. Good morning, Plunderers!
I checked our P.O. Box yesterday afternoon. Credit card application—no thank you. Coupon to the garbage dump—sounds funny, but garbage isn’t collected in Willow like it is in the city. Envelope from a Plunder—what’s this, could it be? Another letter from a Plunderer. And another. All with kind notes of support and go get ‘ems for Whitey-Lance. You did it! The Plunderers exceeded the goal of sponsoring our wandering Whitey with $770 in sponsorships received! Your sponsorship has given us a good start to running the 2012 Iditarod.
I have said that our cup runneth over with the interest the Plunderers have shown in Snowhook Kennel, yet I must share with you the revised statement that I emailed Spence last week. Our watering bucket, larger than any cup or dog dish runneth over.

We think that the money is used for whatever Rebecca and AJ think is best, but the way they collect is by having folks sponsor a dog, or a checkpoint, or those other levels. Shocking! Last night a Dodger’s fan bet up a Giant’s fan in the parking lot. The Giant’s fan is in the hospital in a coma.
My boy is going to L.A. to see the game on Sat. I told him not to wear the Giant’s shirt & hat, but he is going to anyway. Hope nothing happens.

Molly!…Yes, Wookie and I are now famous amongst the Rockies Fans!…heh!snort!heh!…Wookie is mostly famous with the female Rockies fans…sniff!…There were so many young ladies coming by to pet him and tell him what a beauty he was ….chorkel!… I told him every time that happened he had to buy me a hotdog or a beer, depending on which one I was out of at the time…snuffle!…So it worked out for both of us…BUUURRRRPPP! …HICCUPP!
Home!… I am home now and Wookie is on his way home, with a pocket full of phone numbers from the Little Adoring Lassies….sniff!… Here she is just starting to watch the repeat of the game on Root Sports…snort!… I already know what will happen, but I won’t spoil her enjoyment…snorkel!

Before I turned off the computer, (I really need to sleep) I started thinking about Riö’s question about the difference in the male and female eagle, so I looked it up.
You really can’t tell by just looking. If the pair are together the female is the larger one. There is also a mathmatical formula using the beak and talon, we’ll have to let MollyPop figure that one out.

It is hard to tell the difference unless they are both on the nest. The female is larger than the male. This female has a ridge above her eyes that goes further back than on the male, and her eyes are surrounded by a greyish shadow; the male has a line around his eyes that makes them look “beadier.” Some think that the male’s head is “sleeker” than the female’s.

Mollie!…That is shocking!…grunt!…Baseball fans should not act like the Basketball or Football fans and take there anger out on each other….grump!… Real Baseball fans live for the game, not the winning or losing of each and every game (unless it is the World Series – then its different)….snort!…. Rio, I am sure the eagle does not assist with the hatching, however, they probably remove the empty egg shell later. Most birds seem to do that. The dead rabbit, that Melanie mentioned, has bee laying on the nest since Mon. or Tues. It must be “aging” to feed the babies next week.
Barb says she has to go to bed, she is trying to recover from the visit today. It is fun having them, but I am exausted too, cause I have to give everyone my full attention while they are here. I do that by standing on their laps and sticking my nose in their ears. Sometimes I also pant and try to nibble on their ear lobes. They really love it, especially Ben, who is almost 5.

Yaawwwnnnn- hi everyone. Just checking in before we say goodnight. Mama has to open the CL business tomorrow am. But we wanted to say that we are fine with having Rebecca and AJ decide where they need the money to go.
In our town, there is a referendum on the table about taking a huge amount of tax money and building a new park on Main St just 2 blocks down the street from another park that is hardly used. The reason – the “budget” says that money can be used to build new but not to renovate old. Circular (stupid) logic at best.
So, we say that Rebecca and AJ are smarter than city government and know exactly where the money would best help the team. We are all for them deciding what to do with our contributions, and we will just know that our personal contributions are putting booties on Zebbe’s little paws.

What a great way too spend Opening Day — with my best friend Rio at Coors Field cheering on the Rockies. Life doesn’t get any better than that. Still, it is nice to be home now with mom and dad and grandpa too. Maybe just a little tummies action (and a frosty paws too) before bedtime. Sweet dreams everyone. And happy hatching to the eaglets. We checked in one more time, after having a little kat nap.
Rio, Barb says she doesn’t think the light bothers the Eagles, because they switch to a infared light at night. Evidently that does not bother the birds, which is why they look like they are sleeping. At least that is what she read.
