Howlers, Barb remembers a Hitchcock movie called Marnie. It stared Tippi Hedren, and in one scene she was jumping her horse and they fell. The horse had a broken leg and had to be put down. Is that the movie you mentioned last night?

I love the cover for Tail of Vengeance! I have noticed that even though Bernie is included in the e-stories, it is Chet who is the star of the cover. Not complaining, just pondering.

Morning all.
Yeep! We just remembered that tomorrow is Father’s Day. Mama has been so busy chasing her tail, she hasn’t had a moment to think about this, never mind shop for it. Yeep yeep yeep….
Macy – we would appreciate if you would take your Mom firmly by the paw, and remind her how important she is to so many. We know she has suffered a terrible and heartbreaking loss, but she needs to know that there are lots and lots and lots of people who are here to support her, who love her dearly, and who think she is a wonderful and necessary person.
She means the world to her precious daughters. She is rescuer and caretaker to the fourleggeds who worship her. And this here blog thinks she is marvelous, wonderful, funny, witty, thoughtful and IMPORTANT.
And if she gives you any guff, you go ahead and bite her in the butt. (or the ankle, for those of us who are vertically challenged)

I am told that this is “Zeus training weekend”. I do not like the sound of that. Training usually means lots of “No Zeus” and “Bad Zeus” and shock collars, and “Get in your crate”. I’ll let youse know how this goes. I may need rescuing.
Barb: Mom didn’t think it was a Hitchcock film, but it was so long ago, she does not remember. Nobody in the movie worried about the horse. Mom cried and cried for the horse.

ML, you are the funniest person I know. Funny is good. I think it is the most important thing a 2-legged can be. If you come visit me, you and I could share jokes all day and night! I am very funny too.

My dad is going to get a clean dog for Father’s Day. Can you believe this: My mom made me an appointment with the groomer tomorrow at 6:pm. Her husband is now working strange hours so it has to be scheduled when he is home to help.
What about baseball? What about the World Cup?

I guess my training has been postponed. I went for a little walk in a little village today. Those ‘rents walk way too slow, and every time I really got moving, they stop and make me sit. Why? You tell me.

Grizz and I are back from a day of mall walking. The drive to the mall is a nice one, especially on a nice day like today.
We here are happy that the Pixie will be seeing Coach on Father’s Day, and seeing Ma Bella too.

We had a great time at Liberty Taproom. The waitresses all love us and us. As soon as we arrived, they brought out 2 big cold ones just for us. Oh, and Mom and Pop each got a beer instead. They also got some crab and artichoke dip, and some sweet potato fries. All in all. It was a fun time.
Zeus waited at home. After his training walk, Mom determined that he is not yet ready for prime time. Heh heh!
Tomorrow Zeus continues his training weekend. We don’t think he will pick this stuff up any time soon. Mom says that it is apparent that the dude was never walked on a leash before.

We had not heard that Ruby Dee passed away. Just read that she was 91, and married to Ossie Davis from 1948 till his death in 2005. Their ashes will be in one urn and they will be together for eternity.
Josh was not here today, but Ben came to do some roofing. He brought his wife as a helper. You don’t see too many women doing roofing. She was a darling little blond and totally buffed. Guess she does bike racing and triathlons in her spare time.

Mommy tried the same thing with me when I was walking on the leash. Every time I broke into a gallop, she stopped and I sat down. We did this over and over and over. Then mommy bought me another harness. This is my fourth one. My leash now hooks in the front band around my chest. I don’t like this harness because every time I start to run it turns me around. What’s up with this?

Zeus, sounds like you did a good job of teaching the ‘rents how you prefer to walk on a leash. My mom is proving more difficult to train.

Loulou and Zeusikov. Greetings from Vermont. There are so many new good smells here and a guy Is just going to get real excited going after them. It seems that on our six mile hike this morning going up Mt. Tom, I had problems with mom and dad just walking way too slow to keep up with me. Sounds like youse guys have experienced similar difficulties. And it does become an ever longer walk when every fifteen feet or so, you get stopped, being told “no pull” or “slow” and then made to sit too. The indignity of it all, as I am sure youse understand. But I will continue to work hard to get them into better shape so that they can keep up with me in the future.

Still crazy after all these years. But Busey’s Wacky Behavior isn’t all an act, more the result of a near fatal motorcycle accident in the late 80’s. It damaged his ability to control Impulsive Behavior, such as what he says and does. His accident also changed Motorcycle Helmet Laws.
That was probably more than you wanted to know.
Teddy & Zeus: My Experience with Walks has been the same. I must warn you…it’s a Lost Cause…never could teach Nana to keep up.

There was a Facebook rumor started that Gary Busey died today. It was a false rumor. If you do an Internet search for “Gary Busey 2014” you can find the story about it being fake.
We are celebrating. Today is the first day in two weeks that we didn’t have to go to any hospital for anything.
