College Kids, Continued

“Chet?” said Bernie, coming out of the store where he’d taken the film can, “can you give back the Frisbee, please?”

Of course I could! I went right up to one of those college kids. She had a long pony tail. Very interesting, pony tails. It’s the closest humans come to having real tails. Ponies do have real tails, kind of confusing. Did I ever mention about the time I nipped at a real pony tail? Maybe we’ll get to that later. But right now I was in front of the college kid, Frisbee in my mouth. I have two ways of giving things back. There’s the straight-out giving back and the almost giving back. What kind of mood was I in? The almost giving back mood, so that’s what I did. I almost gave back the Frisbee, then darted away at the last moment. Not my real fast dart. That’s not necessary with humans. No offense, but humans turn out to be not that quick. But there are lots of good things about them, such as –

“Chet!”

Chet may be too nice to realize this – but humans often have a hard time giving things back too – regular humans, not just perps.

"Yes but…" with Chet it's obviously an invitation to play some more.

Unfortunately with humans it's another agenda entirely.
