Clubbing
Bernie opened the door of Club Utopia and we went in. Hey! A strip club. I’d been in strip clubs before – just part of the job. Take the Nuggets Bolliterri case for example. Nuggets practically lived in strip clubs. Nuggets and I had one thing in common, and that was a love of Slim Jims. In the end, he wasn’t as good about sharing as I would have liked, which led to a bit of conflict.
Back to Club Utopia. There was a dancer on the stage. Boredom is pretty easy to read on the human face – it gets kind of slack and the eyes lose their shine – and it was all over hers. A few guys sat in the audience. They looked bored, too. The dancer did some dancing around a pole. All of a sudden for no reason, I found myself thinking of Lola, down in Mexico. Is that in To Fetch A Thief?
A bouncer came over – we’ve had some fun with bouncers, me and Bernie – and said, “No dogs allowed.”

Wow. I don't think we will be hearing from Rio for awhile this morning. The Rockies were trailing 9-3 going into the bottom of the ninth inning and pulled off one of the most spectacular comebacks in baseball history, scoring 9 runs in the inning to win the game 12-9. Bet there was a lot of late night celebrating and skipping in Casa de Rio. Way to go, big guy. It was you and your friend cheering at the game and at home that made the difference, I am sure. Watch out for the Rockies (at least until they play the Nationals). Your friend, Wookie

Just watching those replays of Rockies game and learning what a "walk off" is. I'd never heard the term before. Pretty exciting. I think Rio's friend is a bit pugnacious and would have stayed until the unbitter end.

OMG!…OMG!…OMG!… heh!… That’s all I heard last night when she finally got home around midnight!… snort!… What a Game! What a Game! WOOOOOOOOO!… cough!couth!…Course her voice was almost totally gone – so it sounded more like GASP GAME GASP GAME!… Then she tried to go to bed and sleep but that didn’t work, so we both got up and watched the re-play of the 7th, 8th and 9th innings!… wheeze!….What a GAME!… GASP!
Heh!…I think she had one of the best times of her life…grunt!…Even when they were losing she kept telling her friend there was still hope!… snort!…And they laughed and laughed (I think the beer helped this part)…The food was delish, the ballpark was gorgeous albeit a tad cold with the wind….snort!…But there was very little rain, just some sprinkles….wheeze!
Ninth! …. Everyone was going crazy in the ninth inning! …snort!snort!… It was so exciting and then when Seth Smith hit the final home run and all the players were out on the field …wheeze!….OMG! OMG!…What a game! What a Game!…. She even ran into her millionaire friends and gave them a hug….snuff!…All they all could say to one another was “9 runs in 9 innings!..What a Game!…Woooooooooooooo!”
Exhausted! We are going back to bed now….gruff!gruff!

Hey Rio! Just a note of thanks to let you know that your prayers work. My mom spent the last HOUR applying for jobs online in her field. She said, "it's a virtual cornucopia of jobs! Yipee!" Me, I just chewed my bone and watched. So dang HOT here in Michigan, I've spent my days in front of the AC and a fan trying to get cool. Hugs to all. Hope surgery goes well for Dan.

Dawson: Thank you! I think that you've made me realize why people use "read" as a noun. We are too lazy to use the two extra words, "book to…." From Anglo Saxon (Old English) times to now, we have changed the language, in part, because of laziness. I think that's a very interesting aspect of the human species.
And for a Bob, I think you need to use a colon and make sure spaces are placed before the Bob and other words. I'll try:

On the way out to get some stuff in some stores, Megan and Mommy found a newborn baby bird!! Oh my gawd!! Daddy said that it could be a day old and it fell out of it's nest! It's bare and has no fur-or whatever birds have for hair-and it's really small. Since it's a newborn, we have NO idea what type of bird it is, and for now, we're all calling it Survivor-Megan's idea, because we have no idea what type of bird it is, and that'll change everything, or whatever it was that she said. But, that thing is kinda creepin' me out now…and it keeps on opening it's damn mouth for food, like it doesn't have enough already. Damn, I don't even eat that much…
Ah, well, whatever. Gotta go check if it's even a bird now, so, bye.

As far as I can discover, Cahors is not yet sold in the U.S. They–in Cahors–are planning on selling "middle" wine…or whatever it was….meaning not the best, in the U.S. The problem seems to be that it will not compete with the Argentina wine in quality or price. Guess I will have to go to Cahors, France…next year.

I'm here finally. It was one of those busy days. Ok, mom had a busy day and I supervised. I didn't run away.
I followed the baseball game last night. WHAT A GAME! Rio, I think your friend should go to more Rockies games in the future. I knew she'd be there to the end, cheering and helping. I watched the video on the Rockies website. The fans were so happy! I was so happy!
I would love to see some baseball photos!
Rio? Do you know what time they will start the All Star Game next week? I know what day it is on, but I can't find the time anywhere on the internet. Mom has something she has to schedule around it, but she has promised me that we would be home for that game.

Mr. T!… Well I have heard that she kept saying ‘It’s still possible!, there is still Hope!’ even once the bottom of the ninth came round!…snort!…Everyone was laughing and thinking she was crazy, but I’m tellin’ you all, she has these ‘feeliings’ about things sometimes and they Happen!..heh!…And last night she did not think they were going to lose….grunt!…She was there and clapping her heart out and drinking expensive beer and Those Rockies WERE NOT GOING TO LOSE dammit!…wooooo!…And they did not lose!!!…..heh! …Sometimes I think the only reason she can keep me under control is her strong force of will… gulp!… It is overpowering at times and I just have to do what she says or else I will be destroyed …sniff!….well, maybe not destroyed, or even hurt, but I have to do what she wants or ELSE!…gurgle!… I don’t want to find out what “else” is actually…sniff!… but no one besides her can tell me what the Hell to do at anytime!…gruff!
