Chetspeak on Sunday
“Bernie, Bernie, one of my colleagues has seen your watch!”
“Yeah?” Bernie said. “What happened? Something that made you come in person?”
“Coming in person is no problem – I have business in your neighborhood. I am killing two birds with one stone!”
Oh, yeah? How many times had I heard that one? And was I still waiting for a human – any human, step right up – to kill even one single bird with a stone? Or even try? The only human who’d come close was Bernie, as you might have guessed, and he’d thrown a tire iron, not a stone, and the bird had turned out to be a machine, possibly called a drone. As for Mr. Singh, he had no stone, did not appear to be looking for one, and the only bird in sight was the buzzard perched in its usual spot next to old man Heydrich’s chimney, far enough away so you’d need a cannon arm to knock it off, and Mr. Singh’s arms were of the short and pudgy sort.

Chet? Bernie? Where am I?
9:21 am on August 16th, 2015
The buzzard on the chimney made us laugh.
Good morning all. We are packed up and heading for home. Have a good Sunday.
9:22 am on August 16th, 2015
and thank you all for being there last night. It was a great party, and you all were the highlights.
9:26 am on August 16th, 2015
I’m wondering where we got that expression. I’ll have to check.
Great pictures yesterday.
Good morning all.

It was the Wedding of the Century. Better than the Royal Wedding. The Plunderers will think of it in days to come with happy hearts.
Golinka’s posts of 11:11 pm (last paragraph) and 11:33 pm had someone here in tears…tears of joy…but tears none the less.
Thank you for the wonderful fotos of the beautiful bride and the handsome groom, and the lovely wedding party.
It was a night we will remember always.

Alice & Abbie: Now, what’s this about Staff’s knee?
9:49 am on August 16th, 2015
Good morning, Golinka and HRH B and everyone! Wonderful wedding and fantastic fotos 🙂 We loved the feeling of our special friend’s presence at the ceremony. Now it is a brilliant Chetspeak (chuckle, snort!), Egg Day (yummers) and wonderful memories 🙂
Have a special Sunday, everyone!

Masquers, we didn’t leave you out intentionally, you just have paws that fit the keyboard better than ours 🙂

Queen B. Thank you for the inside of our least favorite saying in the whole world! But, please, all, stop using it. It rubs our feathers the wrong way!

Greetings!
Ah, such a wonderful wedding!!
I want to thank the lovely Zeta for allowing me to dance with her most handsome prince, Teddy. He swept me off my feet and looked quite handsome in his top hat and tails.
Royal Mum, thanks for posting the great pictures! The Storyteller looked very handsome, and you were rockin’ that dress! You were absolutely glowing…keep up the good work!
Belle Starr, I must thank you for all your efforts on my beautiful, sparkly gown. It flowed beautifully as I danced with Teddy.
May YSAS and his LLL begin this new chapter in their lives with love, grace, and happiness…
10:42 am on August 16th, 2015
Wose: Must say…You & Teddy made a Handsome Couple on the Dance Floor last night.
Zeus! Happy Birthday!! AaaaaRoooo, AaaahROOOOO!!!
10:55 am on August 16th, 2015
Zeus’ b-day?
Whoo hoo, yodel howl to you!

Speaking of dresses I thought the bridal gown was one of the most beautiful ones I have ever seen. Love the asymetrical hemline and the tulle underskirt. Loved the shape of the bodice and the crystal trim. Loved it all. The LLL has great taste.
Barb, Maggie and Lucy, When I was taking care of my parents I did not get my orthodic inserts updated for 5 years. My feet felt fine and I didn’t equate my knee problems with the old inserts Evidently they wore on one side and that caused me to walk in a way that impacted my knees. So now it is taking a long time to adjust back to good walking posture. I have an appointment to go over the latest inserts with my podiatrist on Monday. Things are much better than they were, but I still have more fixing to do.

Zeus! Baby! Happy B’day. The little ebony ones were probably born just a little later in August You made me think about it. I think the 29th of August ( or around then) would be about right for them to be 7 weeks old on October 21st. That is the day they were found on the road.
11:15 am on August 16th, 2015
Thank you for the explanation, Staff. We were concerned.
11:17 am on August 16th, 2015
Look! How cute! Henry (?) is meowing Happy Birthday to Zeusikõv!
11:26 am on August 16th, 2015
Thank you, everyone. The Humane Society threw a BIG party for me yesterday. It was called a Pints for Pups, but it was for me me me. I met lots of new friends, both 2-legged and 4-legged. I even sort of kind of made up with ole’ Tundra.
I heard whispers of ice cream possibly in my future. Cross your paws for me, please.
11:31 am on August 16th, 2015
Paws crossed. Enjoy your big day.
11:35 am on August 16th, 2015
WE have our paws crossed, too. What’s a birthday partay without ice cream?
11:58 am on August 16th, 2015
Old man Heydrich would have a buzzard hanging out around his place, wouldn’t he? (shudder)
Happy Chetspeak day, Egg day and Zeus’s birthday! Happy first day of married life for YSAS and LLL. And many more.
Great party last night. I’m not sure how I ended up with a sword this morning. 🙂
No time to wonder about that now because I have a busy day scheduled cleaning out the garage. It will be emptied then cleaned and only the good stuff put back in. Hopefully it is not all good stuff.
12:13 pm on August 16th, 2015
Dawson, with your boundless cleaning energy, you should come to our house and show our lazy lump of a mom how housekeeping should be done!
As we caught up with the wedding/party news this a.m. a beautiful yellow butterfly stayed on the butterfly bush just outside of the kitchen window. What a wonderful sight!
12:23 pm on August 16th, 2015
Dawson: Good Luck with your Garage Cleaning.
Heh, heh. It’s ALL Good Stuff.
Hounds: We agree. A Wonderful Sight!
1:10 pm on August 16th, 2015
Speaking of cleaning…we’ll bet Rio & Friend, Beau & Mother are Busy as Beavers today.
Sorting and Packing and Preparing for the Big Move back to the Old House.
Let us hope there are NO Hangovers from last night’s Big Party.
1:12 pm on August 16th, 2015
Heh, heh. That Henry…looks more like a Happy Birthday Yowl to me!
1:37 pm on August 16th, 2015
Happy cleaning day to Dawson. Our garage needs to be tidied up, but it has to wait till the never-ending desk/bookshelf project is completed and out of here.
Staff, good news about your knee, but it was Masquers that asked earlier about it.
1:42 pm on August 16th, 2015
I’m in for some breakfast, suddenly realizing I hadn’t eaten. Woman cannot live on coffee alone.
I am making use of my archeology degree while cleaning the garage. So far I estimate I am back to about 2009. By the time I get to the back of the garage it will be last century detritus.
2:44 pm on August 16th, 2015
Zeusikov, May you have the happiest of birthdays (and ice cream)!
Awesome, I am laughing at your comparison of archeology to cleaning. It is a good thing Grizz and I do not have plans to move anytime soon. I do believe I might find items from the Paleozoic era in the dark recesses of my closet.
Staff, Hope your feet will be tip-top soon. I also wear orthodics in my shoes. I have a very strange gait. If I do not wear my inserts, my left ankle turns in, almost touching the ground. Love the picture of my godkitties!
2:49 pm on August 16th, 2015
Oooops, my previous comment is awaiting moderation. I used the dreaded “S” word…
4:00 pm on August 16th, 2015
DAwson, mom could use an archologist in cleaning her garage. Some boxes haven’t been opened since 2002. Don’t want to pitch the contents in case the royal gems were packed away and forgotten. (not likely)
Wose, ain’t it amazing how quickly we forget the verboten words?
4:08 pm on August 16th, 2015
Dawson: Garage cleaning as an archeological dig…I love the comparison!
4:09 pm on August 16th, 2015
and may you find many treasures.
4:11 pm on August 16th, 2015
Hounds: Boxes from 2002. Nana says, Let’s Not Go There.
4:11 pm on August 16th, 2015
Wose: That “S” word sneaks in and gets moderated every time!
!999!
That is the approximate year the book entitled, “Getting Organized” was put into the garage. Very dusty.
MacyMinPin. Sure missed you at the wedding. You were always a great member of the clean up crew, when you weren’t running off with Mr. Redbone Hound.
4:12 pm on August 16th, 2015
Teddy AND Wose both using the Dreaded Shews Word. Snicker.
4:17 pm on August 16th, 2015
HOH, Considering that a word like s*&t is acceptable on this here blog, who knew that such an innocent word is recognized as a such a naughty one.
4:24 pm on August 16th, 2015
Wose 🙂
5:14 pm on August 16th, 2015
Home, home again. Happy with a lap full of Corgis.
We hope Martha will post some of her pictures. We admit, we were having way too much fun (and were busy riding herd on partying Plunderers) to take too many pictures

Aren’t they beautiful!?!
5:27 pm on August 16th, 2015
Beautiful foto!

Tupper’s Mama, Yes, beautiful, and the detail in this foto shows the bride’s nails match the attendant’s dresses!
6:20 pm on August 16th, 2015
What a beautiful couple YSAS and LLL make! That is a really great photo of the bride and MOH!
7:06 pm on August 16th, 2015
Good eye, HOH!

Masquers, danke.
8:37 pm on August 16th, 2015
Beautiful picture. Yes, we missed the nails, too.
Early night as there is work on the horizon tomorrow.
Martha, please post some more pictures. Checked out some FB sites but didn’t see anything new.

Mom just finished playing a version of monopoly with the g son. We don’t get it but they laughed a lot. Now we are going to hold mom down while she reads to us.
9:19 pm on August 16th, 2015
Sam’s Mom, Girl, and I had our last day at the beach in Canada. It was glorious! Sam’s Girl starts law school in a week and it’s a four year program with an MBA also. It only took us 35 minutes to get back to the U.S. through customs because we caught a good lane. Now I’m exhausted and I did nothing. Sun, sand, and water make me comatose.
