Chetspeak on Sunday

Peanut sat down. Was she planning on a nice long pool session? I gazed at the hills, darkening in the late afternoon light. Did we have time for a nice long pool session? No. Why wasn’t Peanut getting that? I barked. She ignored me in that still and heavy way of hers, showing no reaction at all. How annoying was that? I waded into the pool, barged up to her and gave her a nudge on the side, not the least bit gentle. And what was this? She got right up, so fast that a wave sprang up, sweeping me out of the pool. I rose, gave myself a good shake, and started off toward the hills. Peanut followed along, no problem. I didn’t have to look back, just felt the earth trembling under my paws.

Morning all. Mama is spending the day with butterflies. She is making jewelry for the Butterfly Conservatory. So- playing at her work table plus butterflies. Does it get any better?
(She’ll pass on the eggs. Doesn’t like ’em).

Herding an elephant is sorta like herding cats. Difficult if not impossible.

Happy Chetspeak and Happy Egg Day & Sunday. No eggs around here this morning. Instead a bagel with cream chees and loxs. Yum!

Barb is running over to the local Menards store this morning for some spring supplies: grass seed, organic potting soil, and onion sets. April 2nd is the tentative day she has scheduled for starting the garden. Paws crossed.

Daffodils, planted last fall, are about 2″ out of the ground. Flower bed in front, where tulips were planted, is still snow covered.

Does Barb feel safe enough to leave the goofy newfie alone with you and Lucy Ball? Sam, right? Isn’t he a house guest for a week or so?
Raining here today and supposed to have freezing for the next few nights. We hope the pool and pond get iced over again. That is lots of fun 🙂

HOH, When Barb leaves, Lucy will go in her crate and Sammy will be gated in the laundry room. I of course will go any where I please.

Everything was peaceful last night. A couple little whines out of Sam, but then all was good till 7:00 this morning.

IT will be cold here all week too, with possible rain/snow mid week.

Wonder is Rick is back home this weekend? Didn’t hear from ML last night, she is probably exhausted.

Macy’s Mom, Please check in with us when you can. We are all with you and thinking of you.

Albuquerque’s K9 officer that suffered 3 gunshot wounds on Friday is now home recovering. He will be fine.

My internet server has changed the way an email from me looks. I have been told that people aren’t sure the SDD is really from me. My email address remains the same. I will try putting “From Siber-H” in the subject line.

Corgsky? I need a Corgsky or I will be Belle Starry!
(whispering – please don’t tell Tupper and Gilly I said that)

Interesting night last night. There were coyotes in the back yard, singing their hearts out. This means there was a trembling, quivering baby Corgi in our bed with us, trying her very best to crawl under the covers, and maybe even under us.
Poor Gilly – nothing scares her quite like the sound of coyotes. Tupper and Callie both slept right through it.

Speaking of mysteries…I have all my Chet the Dog books on a small bedside bookcase. However, TFAT is missing when I unpacked my books from the big move. I am hoping that it is still in a box in the garage yet to be unpacked. Or else I’m going to be in a very bad mood and might need a new dog or cat to cheer me up. I “liked” an Anchorage Animal Rescue page on FaceBook. Why do I do that to myself? I get daily photos of animals needing foster or furever homes.

Hello Everyone–Still trying to catch up with the almost frightening puns, and baby animal pics.
HOH and Tupper’s Mama–Can’t really copete, but before the husband experienced eternity, he used to share with me some horrible jokes from his grammar school days in rural South Dakota (Q: Name 3 vegetables? A: Lettuce, turnip and pea; Q; Name 3 important parts of a [cast-iron, old-style] stove? A: Lifter, leg, and poker).
I got over the kitchen thing when I read a recipe for plaice with thyme. (About the same time I started wearing unscented perfume…)
Corgsky is adorable–for a moment I thought that was Natasha’s family name, but then my vision cleared.

Even the pups who were so very, very sick—they seem to be out of the woods—each got a fish head of their very own.
