Chetspeak on Sunday

“No problem with that last part,” said the sheriff. “But, see, I’m the law, so what comes first is up to me. Hands out.”

Bernie shook his head.

“You resistin’ arrest?” the sheriff said.

The shotgun barrel moved again, the muzzle now pointed at Bernie’s chest. Bernie didn’t move, just sat very still on the bench. Was something real bad just about to happen? I hardly ever got that feeling, but I had it now.

“I do believe he’d dare you to squeeze that goddamn trigger, Mack,” the sheriff said, “so you’ll have to try something different.”

“Different how?” said Mack.

Mack thought, his face scrunching up unpleasantly. Then he swung the shotgun away from Bernie and aimed it straight at me.

“Somethin’ like this?” Mack said.

“Read my mind,” said Sheriff Laidlaw.

Bernie rose and held out his hands.

Good morning everyone! That is a Chetspeak that speaks volumes. Mom thinks that someone who could do that to a companion is missing a spark of decency.Happy egg day. Have a silvery Sunday be it with clouds, snow, sparkles or imagination!

We don’t remember that scene…think it’s time to reread the series from beginning to end.

Hello all. Today, Kat and I went to Starbucks with Mom. We got pupperchinos! Delish.
Now we are once again hiding out from the loud thunder boomers, and under a tornado watch. Zeus was on Mom’s lap.

Still in the 40s here, but dropping by mid week. I want it to be colder, as it should be in Jan. in Illinois. Too warm for too much long and bulbs are going to start showing. Not good.

Zeus is a good boy to guard his mom. Stay safe Howlers.
Hobbit, safe trip. Mmmm? Snowing in Anchorage and warm in Duluth? Is there a
curse on Snowhook and snow ❄️?
Had several days of high 60’s and low 70’s. Thunder boomers and rain ☔️ tonight and for several days. It should drop down to more winter like temperatures this week.

The Mr. and I came home from Fargo this afternoon. We went up for a concert that he purchased tickets for SEVEN months ago. And then I learned that Fargo would be having a Women’s March too so we went in early for that. The last protest march I went to there had 12 people. So as we got close to the site and I started seeing people, all walking towards the site, some of them holding signs I got excited.
North Dakota is staunchly republican so I did not expect a crowd. I was wrong. We had over 1000 people on our march. It was a short march going about a mile total. We stretched out and stayed on the sidewalks and politely stopped at corners so the cars could get across the street. People got back to the the start/end site before the last marchers left.

I got all teary just being there with all the marchers.

Darnit I should have asked someone to take my picture but I forgot. However I did take a few myself. I was about 3/4 of the way back of the crowd at the start. I couldn’t hear a word of the speakers.

One of my favorite signs is the guy with the long beard who is wearing the blue cap (on the left). If you can’t read it, it says.
“I skipped fishing because I am a feminist”. Love him!

Staff: it was very moving to see the crowd and all the people who kept coming and coming. So many signs– for different reasons but each in support of values I hold dear.
Rio: I marched because I thought the body count was Important. I had no sign, no friends to make it fun but I felt it was important to be seen. Others thought it was important to be heard and there were plenty of speeches and chants. After being dismissed and mocked, it was nice to see “kinfolk”

I have shoveled for the last time even tho it is still snowing.

Great job and great fotos guys!

The only march around here was in Chicago. They were expecting 50,000 to 100,000 people but it actually became 250,000+ and they had to cancel the march because there were too many people for it to be safe. They just stayed in one central place. I checked to see if there was anything more local, but couldn’t find anything in my county.

BMALS, we think several other Plunderers would have liked to participate but distanced or available sites were prohibitive.

For those of you who wondered about the movie “A Dog’s Purpose”, that TMZ click bait video was edited to make you think the GSD was being mistreated. He was not.

Such a shame that TMZ did that click bait video. The premier of the movie was canceled and it is hard to counter such a negative story unless TMZ apologizes and retracts.

It is our understanding that the Premiere of A Dog’s Purpose has been delayed only until the 27th…this weekend.

Thanks for the link, Kat. We will be going to see it.
