Mornin’! When I woke up during the night in my soft bed, there was no Dima in his bed next to mine. I got up and searched the entire house, but he was not there. This morning, Mom reminded me that he had to stay at the hospital overnight. This place is so empty without my boy.
Ummm…the new FOC is Cool Paw Luke, not Duke. Jeez! And did Murray really lick an electrical outlet?
    Welcome to both!

    1 & 2 & 3 . . Nice!

HOH, if you can’t figure out the iPaw and how to get me the pictures, please put them on the blog. We can have people drooling over them, and counting their treat money.

I tried to get something called Dropbox to work on my computer yesterday. Probably not the best thing to do when I’m not feeling tip – top. After talking with the company, twice, I gave up. I put the info onto a thumb drive. I’ll be delivering it to my computer guy later this afternoon.

Computers. To make out lives easier and without paperwork. Snort!
Best things that it’s giving me . .

Rose: You are so right. The Giant’s playlist would make an excellent offering for the next boutique.

No improvement with Gus. Mom is calling the vet to see if she can get him back in today instead of tomorrow. He continues to have small seizures and Mom thinks maybe that whatever is causing that is what is making him not eat. He continues to drink a little ensure, but nothing to eat. When Mom took him last week, the vet said his heart murmur actually sounded better.
Paws crossed but it is not looking good.

Waiting to Hear Good News about Dima from the O’Howlers.

Sorry to hear about Gus. Tails wagging up a storm here for him. You should be feeling those cooling breezes full of love soon.

C.Hobbit. I am so sorry about Sadie’s problem. I will ponder the problem.

People who have sent images in should have them back or at least have heard from me.

I will be outside for a few whiles as the largest peach limb has fallen. I have to go pick peaches that are almost ripe. Probably a few hundred.

Gooood morning, everyone! Running behind as mom had to check in with dr. this a.m. If not tip top, darned near 🙂 SQ: Thanks for the interesting list of tunes. Melanie: Going to try something here before posting fotos of auction items to blog. Golinka: Your hint from last night makes sense. We’ll try it. Dima: Get well. Gus: Come on big guy, get healthier. CHobbit: Luck with vehicle impaired Sadie.

Sharon, Glad you are almost tip-top.

If it becomes necessary, I see no harm at all in Sharon’s auction items being put up on the blog. It won’t change a thing about how the auction is run. I always admire the professionalism of Auction Central. That includes the snorts and funny notes we get from them.

Rio I watched the Colbert Report on Comedy Central last night because he was interviewing Kevin Spacey. Very funny bit with a surprise at the end. You should watch it.

Gus dear we are thinking of you.

Staff (and Rio): That reminds me…Kevin Spacey is in House of Cards, an original series on Netflix. Political Intrigue in Washington.
The bad news is you can only see it if you have Netflix Streaming.

B: Broadchurch was on last night but we can’t figure out How to Watch it as we don’t have BBC America on cable. The first episode was offered free and now We’re Hooked. Grump.

  24. Tupper and Gilly
    12:17 pm on August 15th, 2013

CHobbit – we don’t remember if we asked this before, but have you tried Rescue Remedy? Mama sometimes gives it to Gilly when she is going to be the car for a long time. Mellows Silly Gilly right out.

Our tomatoes are finally starting to ripen. What a weird year for growing things here in the Northeast.

Rio – Teddy may be a tad young for hot Wings. Maybe you could get an order if mild ones for him. After all, he is certainly too young and pure for cold beer chasers.

  25. BearSpiritDog
    12:25 pm on August 15th, 2013

Tupper&Gilly: Don’t remember Rescue Remedy working for me. Nana says I was Very Vocal on the trips back from the V*E*T or any other place I didn’t want to be. Car Rides on the other paw were A-Okay. There was always a cool place to run coming up pronto.

Barb & Royals: Our batch are still Not Ripe. Fried Green Tomatoes coming up!

    Pruning trees.
I have finished pruning the Spirea despite dire warnings from Staff that heads would roll if the Spirea was ruined through pruning. The last storm had flattened it but it bounced back…kind of. There were more dead branches than living ones and it looked terrible. Now there are no more dead branches and a few less living ones. It looks great! (I hope it lives)

  45. Riö – The Evil Pug
    2:45 pm on August 15th, 2013

Dawson!…Is that the same tree that Mr. Staff trimmed once?…snort!… I can’t wait to hear what will happen when Staff gets there and sees it…heh!

  46. Staff
    2:47 pm on August 15th, 2013

Dawson, That sounds like the type of pruning the Spirea needed. The Turtleman wanted to give it a crew cut. That is his special ‘prune’.

  47. Staff
    2:50 pm on August 15th, 2013

And Rio, Mr.Staff took out some large branches on one side only of two nicely shaped maples. It looked like the Orcs ravaging the Shire. He left sawed off stumps sticking out of the amputated sides. It was not pretty. So I am sure that Dawson did not do an ugly job like that. The Spirea did need to have the old wood trimmed out. I just never had the energy.

    Thanks Dawson.

OH Melanie!…snort!…Now you will have to get new glasses…grunt!…Just like my friend does all the time. She either loses or breaks ’em all the damned time…sniff!…She asked her eye doc why she can’t see and the doc said she was old, that’s why…heh!

I can’t believe BStover hasn’t read the Lord of the Rings!

    YAY Dima! Home again…:-D

Gus I am feeling very hopeful about you today. Sounds like it was a good idea to go to the Vets one more time. I have that same problem with thinking that I know what is causing my illness. It took me 4.5 months to figure out I was lactose intolerant. I though I was reacting to the anti-rejection drugs.

Oh Melanie. I can’t get out of bed without my glasses. I have a spare pair right now, but it is a stonger/older prescription. I hope you get yours replaced soon.

    Arrrrg, leg cramps!

Staff and Riö, luckily they were my computer glasses. I have been near sighted for eons. One thing I can’t blame my age or illness on: my eyesight. I can see up to ten inches away, then I must have help.

I know someone who has has lazik (?) surgery some years ago. I notice she is wearing her glasses again. I’ll have to ask her what happened.

    Going back to sleep.

I have some sleeves to knit
Here’s hoping the leg cramps don’t hit.

Melanie – nothing here on our SDD. Weird.

Such great photos – Dima back from the Dancing Giraffe Ball, and a glorious flower. And all paws crossed for WonderGus and hoping the meds will fix him up quick.

Has any one else seen the new dog biscuit commercial that features Corgis and “Atomic Dog” as background music? Mama turns it up and sings us the chorus “Bow wow wow yippee yo yippee yay- bow wow yippee yo yippee yay.
Something about her mis- spent youth dancing at the disco.

Melanie, Mommy had lasik years and years ago. She now only wears cheap drugstore reading glasses (because she is old). No matter how many she buys, Kat always manages to get hold of a pair.
Mommy and I are sleeping downstairs in a chair tonight in case Dima needs us.
