Good morning all.
8:45 am on April 28th, 2014
We love Kate and William and baby George. They are doing a lot for the image of the Royal family. They seem so normal and reachable, not to mention photogenic. Lupo is a pretty field spaniel and a lucky dog. We have never been big fans of The Queen and The Duke – they are just sooo stuffy! Charles’s image has improved over the years with his work in conservation and climate change.
Oh, and good morning everyone. Glad that ML showed up last night.
8:46 am on April 28th, 2014
Hey B. and Everyone. Have a wonderful week and a good Monday. Still catching up on what y’ll posted the past few days.
8:47 am on April 28th, 2014
B and M–I didn’t mean to exclude you–we posted at the same time.
9:16 am on April 28th, 2014
Good morning B&M (&LB), Diane and everyone! The article doesn’t want to open yet but need to say that the person behind the Dutchess sure looks masculine with nail polish and bling. Perhaps when the article opens, mom can reevaluate.
Mom is voting for a muu muu Monday, just to be comfortable 🙂
9:21 am on April 28th, 2014
HOH, That is definitely a woman standing behind her. You won’t see any more when the article opens.
Raining here and not likely to change. Got the back yard fertilized yesterday and going to throw some grass seed around, but otherwise it is an indoor day. May watch Twelve Years this afternoon.
9:29 am on April 28th, 2014
We are looking at more thunderstorms here…ah, spring! Lots of green weeds, er grass, but at least it has been cut to a manageable length. The sushi pond has had the pollen and stuff cleaned out and more water added. Some more wild flower/butterfly/hummer friendly seeds in. We mentioned Dutch and Siberian iris a few weeks back 🙁 So far, the Dutch are up but not blooming but the Siberian haven’t put in an appearance. Now it will probably get too hot for them, rats!
9:38 am on April 28th, 2014
We have discovered that bunnies like crocus but not daffodils. I think they like tulips too, but so far they haven’t found those.
We have four rows of veggies that are up, plus the onions all around the perimeters. In a week or two we can start pulling the onions. Still too cold to plant any flowers, maybe Mother’s Day!
9:44 am on April 28th, 2014
Greetings!
Glad that ML and Diane are back on the blog. Wondering about Wolfie, though.
I have always been in awe of Princess Diana. I think she really brought humanity back to the Royal family. Now her son William and his lovely wife, Katherine are following in Diana’s footsteps. They are a very handsome couple, and George is a cutie. I love Lupo too. Good dog!
I may be doing a lot of rocking with Mr. Carrot today.
Mama if you are around, would you gently pick me up by the scruff?
Thanks, Thieves for your kind dogspeak.
Hobbit, Have a wonderful time!
Thinking on BooBear, Karen, Truman, ML and Zoe.
All youse experiencing that terrible weather stay safe!
Wolfie?
10:00 am on April 28th, 2014
Good Morning Everyone!
We like the Royals too…Especially Royals of the Plunderer variety. Waiting to hear when Gramp will be going home from the Rehab. Standing by with the Thieves for Breakout time.
Royals, Just say the word.
Welcome back to DianeC. We were worrit about you.
Bear Hugs for everyone and especially for Wose and Mr. Carrot.
10:10 am on April 28th, 2014
Wose, go ahead and wock today and know you are woved 🙂 (say that 3 times fast!)
B&M, daffodils are the only bulbs that don’t get eaten by bunnies and squirrels here.
Our feral cat has been nesting in the spent daffodil leaves when it is dry. Haven’t found her wet nest yet. She is getting braver and will come when called for food now.
10:35 am on April 28th, 2014
Hi! One of Mom’s nieces and her husband live 5 miles from the tornado destruction around Little Rock! She said it was a scary night, but they and the house and pets are fine. Whew!!!
11:17 am on April 28th, 2014
Wose: Not to worry, I have you by the scruff. Head bumps.
11:34 am on April 28th, 2014
Wose, take care of yourself and know that you are loved.
11:48 am on April 28th, 2014
BooBear: Thank Dog they are okay!
11:49 am on April 28th, 2014
Morning all. Now we know why we have lots if daffodils but no crocus. We do have lots and lots of bunnies this year. Well fed, chubby bunnies.
Hope Siber is having good weather out in the mountains. There are some scary storms out there.
11:59 am on April 28th, 2014
Good (barely) morning!
Those tornadoes must have been super scary. Glad BooBear’s mom’s neice is ok.
Later.
12:11 pm on April 28th, 2014
BSD, you said it…thank Dog.
12:23 pm on April 28th, 2014
Thank you, Mama.
Thanks all the rest of youse.
Job hunting time….
12:29 pm on April 28th, 2014
Hounds: Nana says Mumu Monday sounds very comfortable.
Tupper&Gilly: We remember Siber-H saying he expected the Weather to be Good where the family is vacationing and to be out of the line of storms.
Hope he is having a Wonderful Time.
Wose: It would be great if you could Work From Home.
12:59 pm on April 28th, 2014
Hi Everybody!
I love that Breaking International News! Much better than the usual news.
Wose: Headbumps and hugs.
I have pizza sauce simmering on the stove making me hungry. Sunshine outside. After today’s heat (60’s) the snow will be toast. Heh!
I will uncover the tulips, daffodils and lavender today or tomorrow. I have sunflowers, pansies, poppies and sweet peas growing inside and looking healthy. Yeep! Where in blazes am I going to put all this? I don’t know but I’m so happy to be here for the summer that I am planting more seeds. WhooHooo! Ain’t it great, Staff?
BooBear: Your niece lives too close for comfort to the tornado area.
1:35 pm on April 28th, 2014
Bear, yes it would be nice to work from home. Que sera, sera.
BooBear, I am relieved to hear that your niece made it safely through the tornados. Some of the news footage I have seen is incredible and very scary.
Thinking of Gramps and sending good thoughts. Thinking of Callie too. Good girl.
1:42 pm on April 28th, 2014
WIND!…Wind!Wind! and more Wind!…grump!sneeze!…It makes my allergies even worse than normal…grumble!wheeze!
2:22 pm on April 28th, 2014
It’s extremely windy here also and raining.
2:49 pm on April 28th, 2014
HOH, Wose, BSD, G and M, T and G and everyone involved in gardening: Growing your own vegetables will bring peas on Earth.

I hope the attached is appealing to those of you involved in needlework:
3:06 pm on April 28th, 2014
Tornados!….Zow! There are all kinds of tornados popping up in the middle of the country….wheeze!….Take cover everybody!
3:27 pm on April 28th, 2014
We managed to take a bit of a walk today, but the wind made us go back. It’s supposed to be worse tomorrow!
3:44 pm on April 28th, 2014
MPM – do the hawks hang out overhead when you are walking LuLu?
Dawson – what time is dinner? For some reason, Mama wants to blur far, far away from home, and pizza sounds like the gold at the end of the rainbow.
3:47 pm on April 28th, 2014
The wind is howling and the rain is pouring in my neighborhood today, too. Our nine-year-old grandson is scheduled to have a baseball game at 5:30. I hope the baseball powers have sense enough to cancel!
For those of youse who enjoy Sherlock Holmes, I read an article today in the May Harper’s Magazine, titled “A Study in Sherlock: How the detective escaped his creator.” It deals with the question of when a fictional character stops belonging to the author who invented him. The author mentions many of the actors who have portrayed Sherlock Holmes through the years, including my favorite, Jeremy Brett. If anyone wants to read this, I will send you the magazine. Just send a SDD to me.
Now I’m going to watch some reruns of Law and Order: Criminal Intent! When this series first started, the hype was Vincent D’Onofrio’s character was based on — you guessed it — Sherlock Holmes!
4:10 pm on April 28th, 2014
DianeC., we sense something fishy in the needle work! Thanks.
4:35 pm on April 28th, 2014
Didn’t get a chance to check out the blog at all yesterday, so lots of interesting stuff to get caught up on, including the wonderful picture of Zoe.
Speaking of wonderful photos, got a couple more of me and my princess Zeta, which I will post in a couple of minutes.
Mom was busy most of the day yesterday at the Day of the Book fair in Kensington, MD, where her quilt guild had a booth. So it was just me and dad for a good part of the day, who said in honor of Chet Speak on Sunday, he was going to get something very yummy from Dunkin Donuts — something called crullers. They were very yummy too — thanks Chet. This has got to stay between us friends though — dad say it was important not to tell mom.
4:37 pm on April 28th, 2014
Now for some pictures from last Friday night. Me and my gal Zeta had an extended play date because her mom came over for another sewing/quilting lesson from my mom, and they stayed for supper. We had great fun together. Here is a picture of Zeta and me on the screened in porch.

4:40 pm on April 28th, 2014
And this is me and Zeta sharing a bone under the dining room table. Actually, I think she got more of the bone than i did it, but that’s okay, because whatever my princess wants . . . . (My dad says it’s always important to be a gentleman around special ladies.)

4:41 pm on April 28th, 2014
Billy’s Buddy: Thanks for the info. I’m going to the bookstore tomorrow and will get Harper’s Magazine. (Jeremy Brett is my favorite also.)
4:42 pm on April 28th, 2014
Great pictures Teddy.
4:46 pm on April 28th, 2014
Screen!…A screened in porch!…Wow!…I would love to live in a screened in porch. Teddy can I come visit you??…pluh-leasse!!
4:51 pm on April 28th, 2014
Wose: I have a good grip on your scruff. It is gentle enough that I don’t hurt you and firm enough so the darkness knows I mean business.
4:58 pm on April 28th, 2014
DianeC: OMD.
Dawson: Happy for You…spending your Summer at Home…in the Sun.
TeddyRR: You are a true Gentledog…sharing the bone with your lady love.
Tornadoes! They are the Scariest of Storms.
5:09 pm on April 28th, 2014
DianeC., is peas on earth like whirled peas? Just checkin’.
5:17 pm on April 28th, 2014
T&G, as long as we stick around Main St. We are safe. The hawks do not come here.
5:33 pm on April 28th, 2014
Mom came home a little early, because she was worried about our resident Blockhead. It was his first full day in his crate, because it was Mom’s first day back at work since he came to live with us. Well, she need not have worried. He was waiting for her by the back door. He had broken out of his crate, eaten a bag of hamburger rolls, eaten the treats in the ‘rents’ little bags they used for training, and eaten 3 fortune cookies. He did leave 2 of the fortunes. We are all wondering about that third fortune.
We are supposed to get heavy rains the next three days. Mom does not know what she will do with that guy on the two days she must go to work.
B&M, we like Kate too, even more so now that we know she has a dog friend.
Teddy, your Zeta is very pretty. You are very right to act the gentleman around a Sibe girl. Heh!
5:40 pm on April 28th, 2014
Hey Blockhead – you are truly “fortune-ate” to be in your new home. Don’t push it too much buddy. And no, no one is going to believe that you broke out because you were in imminent danger of starving to death.
Silly dog.
5:43 pm on April 28th, 2014
Teddy, you lucky dog to have such a nice galfriend. Oops, the Zeus is out of the crate…Zeus on the loose! We bet after eating rolls, treats and fortune cookies, he’ll still want dinner! Mmm? A balanced meal? Carbs, protein and dessert.
(Darah) Zeus, you are so smart. Wish I could figure out how to do that.
6:01 pm on April 28th, 2014
Heh, heh. Zeus, you are a guy after my own heart.
I can understand perfectly the need to be free but also, like you, know the importance of greeting the ‘rents at the door. Chowing down on all those treaties may have been a tad over the top though. Just say’n.
6:06 pm on April 28th, 2014
I want to be the best Zeus I can be. Mom and Pop used those treats to help me understand come when we were way out on the south 40. I figured if I ate all the training treats, I would be trained that much better. Just sayin’
6:09 pm on April 28th, 2014
(Pookey) Maybe it is a good thing that Siber H is on vacation or I would have bet he planned this with Zeus.
6:23 pm on April 28th, 2014
Pookey: Funny…I was thinking the same thing…Sounds like a Siber-H kind of Plan.
6:27 pm on April 28th, 2014
Great pictures, Teddy. You are lucky to have a girl friend to hang out with.
Barb saw a sign today about a grand opening for a new dog park in Woodstock. She is going to check it out.
Zeus, were you in a wire crate or an airline shipping crate? We have known dogs to break out of wire crates, but never a fiberglass airline crate.
They just had the local weather on – rain the next 6 days!
Did anyone see the warnings about staying off Explorer today? Some kind of major virus threats.
6:33 pm on April 28th, 2014
Barb, we did see an article about how high-risk Internet Explorer is. It said we should use any other browser rather than IE. We normally use Safari on our iPaw, but we use IE when Mom lets us on her big computer. We will now be changing to Chrome.
6:59 pm on April 28th, 2014
These viruses spread in emails containing links. People click on the links that came from an affected system and now their system is affected then they send out emails with links and there you go. How else are you going to see those cute kitten videos on YouTube.
7:10 pm on April 28th, 2014
Mama, thank you for being my mama, and keeping a firm but loving grip on my scruff.
Teddy, love your photos. You are truly a gentleman. I know you make your mom, dad, and Wookie very proud. Zeta is a lucky girl to have you as her prince.
I love crullers too.
RIO! I hope you are not taking any brutal walks with your friend. I am worrit you would get swept up in the wind and land in Oz.
Zeus, tell the ‘rents you are innocent. I am sure the Thieves would give the same advice.
7:12 pm on April 28th, 2014
Here is our new Sibaroo license plate. Aren’t we the coolest?

7:36 pm on April 28th, 2014
Gah!…My friend made me switch to Chrome just now….sniff!…Seems I have had IE open all day and oblivious about danger!Danger!DANGER! Mr. Smith…grunt!…She said “Who is a bad Pug?”….grump!
7:38 pm on April 28th, 2014
Bumper!…The other day when I was riding shot-gun with my friend we saw a bumper sticker that said, “Bark Less and Listen More”…heh!heh!….My friend said that was made for me a and that yeeeeping, kat-watching Beau…grunt!
7:43 pm on April 28th, 2014
Rose!…Never fear! We are not walking in this wind because it is too darned cold and on the other plus-side, my friend is totally exhausted from working and cleaning on my other house…snuffle!…So when do we move in, is my question?….grunt!…I a all packed either to live with Teddy or live in my other house, or on an off chance to live with CHobbit Harris…chuffle!…But she seems busy floating over interesting formations in Turkey right now, or walking herself to death…heh!heh!…I hope she is having a great time without me…chuggle!
7:50 pm on April 28th, 2014
Do you gave any plans about where you will get your morning Zingers?
8:17 pm on April 28th, 2014
O’Howlers, Youse guys rock!
RIO! you can always come to New York and live with me and Grizz. Then we can keep you stocked in PUG MUG beer.
8:17 pm on April 28th, 2014
Wose: I have been showing my teeth at that damned darkness all day. The next step is growling my most fierce growl. I’m prepared to go claw to claw with it to keep it at bay. Damned darkness—how dare it pick on one of my own.
8:18 pm on April 28th, 2014
Zingers!…We definitely need a Zinger-Plan no matter where I end up living, that is for damned sure…grunt!…Also, is there a nearby Hot-Wing and Cold Beer place…sniff!…This is all important stuff…wuffle!
8:19 pm on April 28th, 2014
Mama, thank you for looking out for me, and keeping the darkness away. A better mama I could not ask for.
8:29 pm on April 28th, 2014
Thank you, Wose.
8:36 pm on April 28th, 2014
Wowser! Boomers just started up here again 🙁 Did it all last night, too. Funny how that happens here but we of the HOH are prepared to guard the mom so she isn’t afraid and can go to bed and read in peace and security. We will hold her down at all costs! (Hope she closes the dog door soon.)
8:39 pm on April 28th, 2014
OH: We love, Love, LOVE your new license plate 🙂 Mom has thought about “K9SHOFR” but is too darned cheap.
8:46 pm on April 28th, 2014
O’Howlers, That is the Coolest License Plate Ever! You’re the Dawgs.
Internet Explorer…TechNoKat does not like it…so it is Verboten in this house. Good thing as it turns out with this virus thingy.
8:54 pm on April 28th, 2014
I’ll say it again. Anybody who clicks clicks clicks on links sent in emails, is very prone to having a virus. The answer is to stop that clicking. For most of you that’s too late so definitely move to another browser. And then stop clicking.
8:58 pm on April 28th, 2014
Clicking!….MollysMaw is correctly correct…sniff!…STOP clicking on any damned links that someone you do not know and trust sends you….WAIT!…Even then if you get a link thru SDD and NO valid EXPLANATION about what it is in a “personal” fashion, for DawgsSake, do not click on it….grunt!…Delete it immediately….sniff!
9:00 pm on April 28th, 2014
Link!…Just like the other night someone here clicked on a stranger to the blog’s blue name link ….grump!…That pisses me off to no end… DO NOT DO THAT! Do you want this blog to go down in flames, then keep on clicking on strangers links….dammit! grump!
9:13 pm on April 28th, 2014
Maskers!….When you get back from blowing your horn at the Jazzy Jazz Club tonight go check your SDD…snort!
9:13 pm on April 28th, 2014
Rio, exactly! That’s how big companies have their data hacked into. It’s because their employees click on emails and the hackers get in that way.
9:15 pm on April 28th, 2014
Hackers!…The bane of my friend’s existence…grump!..and double grump!…cough!spit!
9:17 pm on April 28th, 2014
Protection!…Do not ever question my distinct unlike of newbies on this here blog for nuthing….sniff!…I AM a pug-watch-dawg for gosh sakes…grunt!
9:29 pm on April 28th, 2014
Did anyone see my picture last night? Honey and Socks were our previous tenants.
I think that the hustle and bustle is starting to wear thin. I made my mom go to the ER today because she has been complaining of pain in her side and abdomen for several months and her doc just gives her pills of one kind or another. I wanted her to have a Kat scan, and she did, and apparently all her giblets are just fine. Her spine is wonky, which is most likely causing her pain. I just could not go through another “why didn’t we check this sooner” scenario.
Holly and Biddy were attacked by 3 pits at the park this evening. Seems like they are ok, but Biddy’s ear was torn a bit.
Computer is not interesting, tv not interesting, books no, dogs no, life…
9:30 pm on April 28th, 2014
Day one back at the farm. I have unpacked lots of boxes and hung up 5 months worth of clothes. Then I had a nice nap and after that I unpacked the sewing machine that I went to Tupper and Gilly’s house to pick up. It fit into the cabinet just like it was supposed to and I took a few pictures.
Now all I need to do it unpack the laptop and download the pictures and post them somewhere. Like here.
BBL
Hang in there Wose. Luna has you covered and that is a good thing.
9:52 pm on April 28th, 2014
Where is everybody?
9:54 pm on April 28th, 2014
Macy’s Mom: We know everyone tells you it will get better and it will, it just takes a long while.
In the meantimes…Love & Hugs coming your way and many shoulders to lean on.
Staff: Someone here missed that Nap you speak of and now it’s almost Bedtime. Too late.
10:05 pm on April 28th, 2014
Love your license plate, Howlers.
Well evidently Barb is the one that clicked on the stranger’s link and pissed off Rio. Imagine that! She no doubt started the whole Explorer virus with that one move.
Bye, be back sooner or later.
10:18 pm on April 28th, 2014
ONE!….Move. That is all it takes sometimes…snort!…Just a warning to the unknowing…sniff!..,Do not put us all at risk because of your Need To Click on one link.
10:31 pm on April 28th, 2014
ML!….At least you do not have to go to the busy-place everyday and deal with people you do not like …grunt!…I seriously thought my friend was going to lose it and be sent to jail or sumthing worse when 6 close family members died in one year…sniff!…It was the year of The Quilt. I think that actually kept her sane and out of jail….heh!…But poor Staff and Debbie…wheeze!…They had to deal with her during that time. Come to think of it, so did I…grump!
10:49 pm on April 28th, 2014
Macy’s Mom, I wondered about Honey and Socks. They sure look purty. For dogs.
We are all here but it has been a tiring day. First I had to nap and then I had to nap and then Staff wanted to nap so I had to help her. Soon I will be wide awake but right now I feel like a nap. Hopefully Staff will wake me when it is time for dinner.
10:52 pm on April 28th, 2014
Kats!….They sure have the life of riley….sniff!…Ding-Dong Alice, it’s time to wake up and smell all the dead mice in yer house..heh!heh!
10:52 pm on April 28th, 2014
Rio, Staff said you were only weird one or two times and she has forgotten them completely. I, however, remember every time you have been snarky with me. humph!

10:55 pm on April 28th, 2014
Duly noted Rio.
10:57 pm on April 28th, 2014

11:08 pm on April 28th, 2014

11:10 pm on April 28th, 2014
Use!…Can they make Slim Jims?…sniff!…Can they make Bacon?…hmmmm?…What the heck do they do anyways except take up space for say some nice soft beds or baseball toys?….gruffle!
11:17 pm on April 28th, 2014
Rio: The man who lives in this house is very interested in the Minnesota against Avalanche hockey game – because his Blackhawks play the winner of that series.
Staff: I’m glad the sewing machine is united with its cabinet. It looks great!
Howlers: I love the license plate!
11:49 pm on April 28th, 2014
Dawson!…We have been watching the baseball game and do not know who wonnit tonight for Hocky….snort!..Now I am told i HAVE to go to bed so I cannot even look-up the score…grunt!…She says we will hear it on the news on the radio. The same radio we listen to when we are all fast asleep…wheeze!…So maybe you just better say who won tonight. The Aves ore those other guys…grunt!
Goodnight! …..youse all!
11:59 pm on April 28th, 2014
Goodnight Rio.
12:16 am on April 29th, 2014
Rio: He who has the remote has recorded the hockey game so here it is the start of the third period and tied 2 to 2. I may have to hear about it tomorrow too.
12:17 am on April 29th, 2014
Goodnight Alice, Rio, Dawson, and all…to LizF & Ruby…we say…good day.
