Just a reminder: Don’t forget to vote for AJ.

Hi B and Tyb:
Hope you enjoyed your Thanksgiving. Prof and I almost reheated the leftovers for breakfast…YUMMMMMMY! We showed some restraint, and ate a real breakfast, though. Can’t wait for dinner.
Tyb: Thanks for the reminder.
I peeked at the auction items….Very nice things. I’ve got my eye on 2 things right now….But I never seem to win anything, anyway….
10:12 am on November 25th, 2011
Good morning Plunderers.
Dad’s biopsy did show a very few cancer cells and we’re grateful it was found in early stage and that it’s treatable.
Each morning I vote for A.J. and then visualize The Quilt cloaking Everybody, as Macy says, no matter how many legs.
Headed to check out the auction. ‘Bye for now. I’ll be lurking.
XOXOXO
10:16 am on November 25th, 2011
Bluecat: I’m glad it isn’t worse. Please let us know how your dad’s treatment goes.
10:23 am on November 25th, 2011
Bluecat:I’m happy to hear that your Dad’s cancer was caught in an early stage, and that it is treatable. Loving thoughts and prayers coming to you and your dad from me. Please let us know how he’s doing.
11:08 am on November 25th, 2011
Bluecat, Good news about your dad! Early and treatable are the two words we want to hear. He’ll be in our prayers.
What a nice surprise…an Auction! This is the only way mom and I will do any shopping on Black Friday.
I’m at doggie day care this morning because it is raining…a half day once in awhile is fun. Penny, the teenage labradoodle, is here She has a crush on me, gah, but I’m nice and play with her.
11:16 am on November 25th, 2011
Siber-H: You are such a ladies man/dog. I think your soulful eyes are the reason the ladies are quite fond of you, even the two-leggeds, like me.
11:19 am on November 25th, 2011
BlueKat, so glad about that news. Sounds like you’re making your way out of clouds!
Darnation, just when I spent all my money! I’m going to check out the auction though. You never know 🙂
The guys and guyette are out at the restore store (Habitat for Humanity) looking for cool stuff for their new house. YSAS is with them to make sure they don’t spend too much money.
Today is our Thanksgiving. I believe we will be 16 to 17 people strong.
11:47 am on November 25th, 2011
I voted also!
The ipaw is now working but it will shut off again any minute!
The auction items are fabulous!
11:48 am on November 25th, 2011
Okay, so I bid on two things. And I voted for AJ1
12:10 pm on November 25th, 2011
Auction!….Well, it is a veritable mad-house backstage at Auction Central..snort!… We are trying to work out last minute re-modeling issues and the like…heh!
Rebecca!…Check your SDD please!…grunt!
Melanie!…Bidding will not be acknowledged until 1:00 your time…gruffle!…But thanks for bidding early anyways…sniff!
12:18 pm on November 25th, 2011
Grrr, my post disappeared. Take 2.
Happy left-over day! Mom and Dad finally got up and they are talking about shopping. They don’t know that I can pick up on some of that spelling thing. They are going to P-e-t-s-m-a-r-t for some gifts for the p-o-o-c-h-e-s. I won’t tell Belle and Annie though.
Mom nearly swooned when she saw the auction items. We have some AMAZING talent here folks. She was talking about selling some furniture so she could bid. My couch is off limits mom. Back OFF.
12:26 pm on November 25th, 2011
Macy: Left-over day is a great day, although Hallmark has done little to recognize it. Mick and Jodi sent us home wiht container after container with leftovers. Yum.
Rio: I think all systems are a go at Auction Central.
I voted, too. I need to get in the practice of doing that first thing. AJ voted a couple of days ago, but not for himself.
12:35 pm on November 25th, 2011
Systems!…Yup! All systems go!…snort!…I just hope my old computer doesn’t blow-up on Black Friday!…grunt!
12:36 pm on November 25th, 2011
Rose: Tenzing and I thought so much of your idea that we did have leftovers for breakfast. A little turkey for him, a little turkey for me…
12:54 pm on November 25th, 2011
Alone!…I will be alone in Auction Central today, so please be patient – the Items will be updated regularly with the highest big…grunt!….It won’t be as lightning fast as when Agent Wookie mans the controls…wuffle!…Off I go, back later, hopefully!…snort!
1:26 pm on November 25th, 2011
Bluecat: I’m glad that they caught it early and that it is treatable. Sending healing thoughts and prayers.
1:28 pm on November 25th, 2011
I can’t remember…do we include our name when we email the item number and the bid amount?
1:30 pm on November 25th, 2011
Siber-H: When you email your bid to newbid@yahoo.com it is likely that Auction Central will recognize your email address, but I would recommend listing your name, the item number and the amount of your bid so there is no confusion.
1:33 pm on November 25th, 2011
Thank you Rebecca. It is for the best that you answered that question instead of Rio. Yours was a very polite answer.
1:38 pm on November 25th, 2011
Siber-H: I can add a snort and a grump if you like, but it wouldn’t be sincere. It can get very stressful at Auction Central and I only know of a few of the woes experienced during the Great Auction of Summer 2011. I posted the auction rules from the last auction in case anyone forgets—better to be safe than sorry and not have someone’s bid count.
Tenzing is politely requesting more turkey for breakfast. I’ve created a monster.
1:55 pm on November 25th, 2011
Siber, I bet you have you eye on that breathtaking piece by Amalia. That has got to be purchased by a husky family!
We have been gone. Yesterday to family dinner, today to do a little shopping. Now we have to leave in an hour due to a showing. Waste of time if you ask me. At least the weather is OK today.
Yesterday at T.G. dinner everyone stood and said what they were thankful for. Lots of stock answers, like health, family, good food, freedom, etc.
Then last, it was 10 year old Lily’s turn. She said she was thankful that Max (Newfie that has crossed the Rainbow Bridge), was laying at Grandma’s feet keeping them warm. Grandma Sue is the one that passed in August, after a long battle with cancer. Let me tell you, everyone at the table teared up over that one!
2:11 pm on November 25th, 2011
OTAS and F think Restores are wonderful! They are going to look for them in their area.
The dining room is almost ready, the Bruins game is on. Everyone else decided to change the plans and come an hour later. Grump, thanks for letting us know.
But Jesse, my guys and gal, Dan and Zoe and are a having a good time.
(I’m top bidder on one thing!)
2:49 pm on November 25th, 2011
Have a great dinner Melanie.
I bid on one item.
2:52 pm on November 25th, 2011
Good afternoon, y’all! My Hawkeyes are stinking up the place, so I decided to come in here for awhile. Some games they got it, some games they don’t. This one is is definitely a don’t!!!
The strangest things are going on around here! First, Mom never even went to bed last night, she just dozed on the couch, then left when it was still really, really dark out. Then she came home, and Mom and Dad and my girl and her boyfriend all got in Dad’s old Jeep (the one that’s older than my girl!) and drove off. A little while later they came back with a tree, and planted it in our living room! It’s a really, really big tree — almost touches the ceiling (and remember, we have 12-foot ceilings in our house!) I can’t wait to see what they do next! I have a vague memory of lights and other stuff going on such a tree a while back.
Bluecat: I’m sorry they found any of those cancer cells at all. But since they did, I’m glad it was just a few, and that treatment should wipe all that out. Tell your dad we’re thinking of him!
Rebecca: Please don’t let AJ vote again! It’s nice that he wants to vote for the other guy, but he’s cancelling out all our hard work!
Macy: Sometimes girls do great things for their dads! I’m glad your girl is such a nice one!
Barb & Maggie: I wasn’t at your table, but my eyes are getting teary, too!
3:12 pm on November 25th, 2011
KirbyT: I am so glad to see you on the blog again. AJ has been properly scolded for his voting misdeeds; I’ll see to it that it doesn’t happen again.
3:17 pm on November 25th, 2011
War!…heh!snort!heh!…There is a bidding war going on for the fabulous Snowhook Quilt!…woooooo!….I really want to bid on Robbie Forester, but my friend says I cannot bid while I am manning Auction Central…snort!…because I would have an unfair advantage…grump!
3:29 pm on November 25th, 2011
Admin!….snort!…Oh boy, now Admin’s new book has soared out of our financial reach!…grunt!
3:53 pm on November 25th, 2011
I hope that there is a similar war going on at Stinky Mama’s show this weekend with people battling to get their hands on a Golinka original.
4:46 pm on November 25th, 2011
We submitted bids for a couple of items. We’ll find out later if we are in the lead or not. During the big Auction of Late, we thought we had some Iditarod tags, but Agent Wookie let us know that the site did not update and we were WAY under the winning bid! (Of course, he was much more diplomatic than that).
Had a great turkey day. BlueCat, hugs for your dad. Getting the treatment soon is a great thing. Glad he got the tests done when he did.
We really, really want that quilt but is is way past our meager budget already.
4:59 pm on November 25th, 2011
Ride!…My friend just took ole Beau for a car-ride…snort!….He jumped right in and laid down in the back seat…grunt!… She drove him around town and then they came back and went for a little bitty walk…sniff!….She said it is too windy for us to go on our Brutal Walk today….WoooooWheeeee!
Auction!….All items now have bids on them. So far the auction is going very well and there has not been any bloodshed over the Dream Catcher. Although, there is still a good bit of time left for dust-ups to break out…heh!
5:12 pm on November 25th, 2011
Announcement!…. I just want to thank Chet, Admin and Spencer for announcing the Holiday Auction for Snowhook!…snort!… Their participation means so much to all of us…heh!…Thank’s guys for a bang-up job on the Auction Announcement this morning!….wooooooo!
5:39 pm on November 25th, 2011
We are back from having a car ride and then a quick nap. Barb has a “welcome to the holidays” appetizer and soup party at a neighbor’s house tonight.
The showing went well, according to the agent. Older Chicago couple who want a more laid back lifestyle. She fell in love with the house and said she wants to raise goats and chickens. He has some mobility problems so we are wondering about the 2-story, but if they want an old farm house, that is what they are going to get. Barb told the agent she will even throw in the goats if they buy it! Fingers and paws crossed here!
5:53 pm on November 25th, 2011
Barb!…What a novel way of getting rid of goats!…heh!snort!heh!
5:59 pm on November 25th, 2011
Rio, We told them that the goats are a rare Marauding breed. You save on feed, because they eat such a varied diet!
6:00 pm on November 25th, 2011
Paws crossed, Barb…I had a slight good feeling about this one because it is such an “off” day.
6:38 pm on November 25th, 2011
Barb, keeping our fingers crossed here.
Two movies in two days. Today the Prof and I saw “My Week With Marilyn.” Excellent story, you really don’t have to be an MM fan to enjoy this film. Michelle Williams is terrific, as is the rest of the cast. Hope Michelle wins the Oscar for this!
6:48 pm on November 25th, 2011
Just checked and we were outbid on the 1 item we were winning. Carpola!! Checked the quilt….so far out of our little budget. Double Carpola!!! Have to do some serious thinking before Sunday.
7:02 pm on November 25th, 2011
Puss N’ Boots!….It sounds like you guys need to go get jobs so your gal can bid on stuff and Win!…heh! cough!
Biggest!….We are catching up on The Biggest Loser right now so if you bid on something and I send you a note saying ‘You are the Biggest Loser!’ …heh!…This means you are really the biggest bidder…snort!
7:08 pm on November 25th, 2011
TTFN. Barb is heading off to her soup and appetizers at the neighbors. She is going to try to make if for a couple of hours. Between the super ultra conservative political discussions, and the blood thirsty psycho men who will be talking in graphic detail about their most recent kills, she may not make it that long. She is hoping she can find a quiet corner where she can discuss food or some good books.
7:09 pm on November 25th, 2011
Rebecca, did you and Tenzing eat coldturkey, or did you take the time to heat it up? 🙂
7:14 pm on November 25th, 2011
Rose: time was of the essence. Heating the turkey may of crosses his mind, but it never crossed mine and since I’m the one with the fancy thumbs he had to eat cold turkey. He didn’t complain.
Carpola! I came to town because there was a sell on fleece and I thought I would make fleece blankets for the dogs for the race and give them to AJ for Christmas. Since I’ve been in town there has been an accident on the only road leading to home.
7:20 pm on November 25th, 2011
Road!…Rebeccer! Stay in town and buy more gifts for Me or Junior…heh!…I’m sure he could do with some baseball toys, or more blankets…sniff!
Cigar!….Beau has been walking around with his old bone in his jaw. It looks like he has a cigar in his mouth…heh!…Someone has been trying to get a good photo to no avail so far…wuffle!
7:24 pm on November 25th, 2011
Rio: Duly noted. I only braved the crowds for one reason: 70% off fleece for a little luxury for the dogs on the trail.
7:57 pm on November 25th, 2011
Sale!….My friend ventured out today to her favorite crafts and fabric store only to wait in a long line that went halfway down the length of the entire store…grunt!…She was not a happy camper because after all that time she only saved a whopping $2.00 on the supplies she picked out…wheeze!…Oh, and most of those guys in line were buying TONS of fleece…sniff!
8:19 pm on November 25th, 2011
Today, the day after Thanksgiving, is always scheduled as the opening of ski season. But, “Green, green, it’s green they say.” There is not a flake of snow to be seen, certainly not in 50 degree weather.
8:30 pm on November 25th, 2011
Quilt!… The 3-D Quilt is smack dab in the middle of a full-out bidding war!….woooooo!…It is very exciting and I have no idea who will win this…snort!…Whose pockets are deeper and who wants the Quilt mroe? Stay tuned!….wheeze!
8:45 pm on November 25th, 2011
Hi everyone – checking in after a ling show day. It’s Black Friday so the show is kind of slow, but the people who are here are buying. We are hoping that folks will be tired of being “malled” today and tomorrow will invade the show like herds of locust.
The auction looks wonderful! That quilt is a beauty. And we are very pleased that folks like the Iditarod Dreams. You all are the ones who inspired the idea with asking about DreamCatchers and clay things for the MMCS.
Barb and Maggie. Keeping all laws crossed that the couple today has found their dream house – complete with Marauding Goats!!
Rio – thanks for the special Powerful Pug Prayer for a successful show. How can we lose with that behind us??!!
BlueCat – if you will pardon the expressionTHANK DOG that your dad will be ok. Our dad had some cancer cells show up many years ago but he was treated and has been cancer free for 7 years. We know your dad is gonna be fine too!
Melanie – been thinking of you all day. Hope your family gathering was wonderful, delicious and gluten free!!
8:48 pm on November 25th, 2011
Mollypop’s Mom, Some of our ski resorts are able to open earlier this year than they have in the past few years. The posh ones like Santa Fe and Taos are now open.
Macy, I told the rain that was in NM to head straight for Texas when it left this state.
8:50 pm on November 25th, 2011
Whew! I survived the fabric store. Barely. Crafters are a tougher bunch than most people suspect. I did save over $217 so I think it was worth it. Pickings were slim so the team might be snuggled up in some interesting fabrics.
I’m waiting to hear if my road home is clear.
9:07 pm on November 25th, 2011
Savings!…Wow! Rebeccer, that beats 2.00 all to hell…sniff!
9:19 pm on November 25th, 2011
Rebecca- did you go to the street corner with the webcam and wave?
Can’t wait to see the blankies you come up with. We are picturing dancing green elephants and faux tiger fur
9:41 pm on November 25th, 2011
Think how much the fleece for the doggie blankies would have been if it weren’t on sale. yeep
10:17 pm on November 25th, 2011
Barb is back. She had a good time. The politicos were mild mannered, the deer slayers were not there, and food and company was good. This lady that had the party is a Christmas nut, but in a good way. She spends the whole week of T.G. decorating for the holidays. She has 14 CHRISTMAS TREES up and decorated. It was quite something to behold. Her whole house looks like a holdiay display center.
10:23 pm on November 25th, 2011
lol, SiberH, it would be hard for the rain to go anywhere else when leaving NM, now if it just makes it as far as Fort Worth.
Mom saw some cute fleece bandanas today but fleece is not in the budget right now, so mom is going to recycle some of the blankets that Annie “renovated”. We will be toasty warm this winter!
10:51 pm on November 25th, 2011
Macy, my little sugar pie. Your ole Redbone is back in town. Hope you managed to save a drumstick me. I swung by Brother Rio’s place, but with our new lil brother, the pickins was mighty slim. Them boys can EAT!
11:00 pm on November 25th, 2011
Hope Rebecca makes it home soon and safely.
night everyone
11:42 pm on November 25th, 2011
And a good time was had by all!
TTFN
12:04 am on November 26th, 2011
Siber-H: no need to worry. I made it home a few moments ago. The roads are slick. I’m so excited about making he dog blankets. I will make them tomorrow while AJ is training the team. If I work diligently maybe I can have them wrapped up before he returns. It is a lot of fleece to hide.
Melanie: Glad you enjoyed your turkey dinner.
Tenzing and I had he same thing for dinner that we had for breakfast except this time we had to share with Luna.
12:51 am on November 26th, 2011
Well, hey Mr. Redbone, you ol’ scoundrel. I thought you had done left us for sure. ‘Fraid the turkey is all gone here but we can make you a nice boloney sammich.
Rebecca, dad’s cousin showed up for Thanksgiving with her little dog Tenzing. Apparently a popular (at least 2) name!
